Pictures of Joan Hickson and Angela Lansbury spring to mind!

Good evening everyone. we had chicken dinner today as well.

I dragged OH out shopping today, but he bought just as much as I did. We went to a shopping outlet where there is a Marks and Spencers outlet. I bought three pairs of jeans amongst other things. Well I need to get kitted out for the winter

I use Facebook a lot as well Sue,mainly to see all the photos my daughter and her friends keep posting. I also am now playing that stupid farm game. I don't usually bother with any of those daft applications, but the nine year old girl next door is into it, so I swap chickens etc with her. I have since discovered that half my grown up facebook friends also are playing the silly thing.

I use Skype to talk to my genealogy group. We have headphones, so can have a group chat while we do our trees. that is the excuse anyway, to be honest, we just tend to natter

Well it's our labour holiday Monday morning here.
Like you Patricia I remember when chicken was not even considered unless it was a special occasion. But lobsters/crayfish were a lot cheaper than they are now. I am a real crustacean fan when it comes to food. Give me a seafood dish way before Chicken. I also prefer lamb to beef - except if it is a mince dish then beef is better.
We have a chain called Aussie Butcher here in NZ and I can get a leg of lamb from them for a good price.
The area I live in we have three Halal butchers - have not tried them but they do seem to look good value - not sure which way one has to face when one cooks or eats it.

Good morning Allan.......I DO NOT STALK!!! I just keep an eye on you to make sure you don't flirt too much with the girls.

NO. I AM NOT 40. I AM 39.

You worried me when you mentioned the thunder and lightning. I'd better parcel up the beanie and send it off to you before the lightning strikes you! Shiny things do attract lightning.

Hi Linda,
The other week I was on a coach going to see my sister and I got talking to the lady who sat next to me. She was going to Portsmouth as well and Facebook came up in conversation and she was on Farm Town and Farmville. We swapped names and we are now friends on Facebook !
I've got 2 fish tanks as well!

Allan - you are in so much trouble matey:-)) Spies indeed.

Linda, Facebook is our way of keeping in touch with family and a few friends in England and my son who is in Hobart. We get constant updates on our grandson and photos so we feel we are part of his daily life.

Sue xx

Hi Persey - I'm with you there. Love seafood:-))

Patricia.....Yes, those are the two I was thinking of. I will never think of Sue and Berona in any other way now.....can't wait for a reposte...Ha Ha

Good Evening Kitchen Goddess,

Three pairs of jeans?

I bet you don't simply roast your chicken, I expect you do all sorts of Nigella things to it..............

i used to talk to my aunt in Canada on Facebook, it was nice to be able to see her, but she died last year

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Oct 2009 21:52

Yes Tec, three pairs of jeans, one blue, one black and one blackish, plus two fleece tops. What is wrong with that ??????

No roast chicken should be plain and simple, plus potatoes, cabbage and turnip from the allotment. Plus Yorkshire puds (quickly hides the Auntie Bessies packet from the freezer)

Good evening Linda

Tec, I wouldn't describe Sue and Berona as Thread Police exactly, but as you know, I always enjoy a deep and serious discussion, and yesterday I posted on a Thread after Sue had left a post.

I then posted again on the same Thread and now this morning (or it could have been last night but I only saw it this morning) Sue has passed a comment on this Thread.

It really is eerie, I don't post on many Threads but when I do, like the pantomime genie, they sudddenly appear. I keep looking around for the puff of purple smoke!

Nothing Linda...........I suppose........but

I've only got two pairs of jeans, and I've had them for about five years.

now a bit faded, one has a hole in the knee, but I'm told that's trendy

good evening Allan, I think that you are suffering from a touch of paranoia there.

Hello Pat, sorry I forgot to say hello

Allan,

Do you think we should look around our houses for puffs of purple smoke?

Tec

PatriciaAnn

PatriciaAnn Report 25 Oct 2009 22:01

Yes Tec,
Holes in Jeans trendy!
I'm no trendsetter. I dress for comfort.
I'm going to bed now.
I'll try and log on the computer at woek in the morning but Mondays are a bit of a rush because I have to change the towels at work. I just remembered on Friday we cleared our desks so they could get dusted properly and so I'll have to put all my stuff back.

Allan Report 25 Oct 2009 22:04

Linda, as I said on another Thread: just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean that they aren't really out to get me!

Berona, flirting indeed: as If I would! And it's a good job that I wasn't as,apparently, both a mother and her daughter were posting on the same thread. That could have caused some ructions

Spent half my life in uniform, other half in a suit, so holes in jeans is ok by me now.
Goodnight, and sleep well.

Good night Pat,
Sorry I have just been crawling under the desk to try and find where my headset should be plugged in. I accidentally pulled it out and had a choice of three places to put it back and of course put it back in the wrong place
