Excuse me Linda in Herriott Country...........

I may be many things, but I'm not a cheap skate (£7-20p a Kg)
If I buy Berona flowers, her apartment will be festooned with exotic blooms, flown in from far away places at great expense. So there.

Linda,

I think that the graveyard would be an appropriate place for dead flowers :0))

Hang on, Tec!!

I only agreed to put in 25c as my share of the cost of the flowers!

Can't we just get a few pictures of suitable blooms out of a magazine and pass them off as "cut" flowers?

Oh wow Tec, I can't wait for my birthday and just think it will cost you far less than having to ship them all the way to Oz

I don't think that Berona will be fooled that easily Allan

The football on TV must have finished because OH has come to bed,so I am off to spend some quality time with him, chattering away while he tries to go to sleep.

Goodnight/day everyone

Allan,
25c wouldn't buy a dead dandelion, go and hoc your best suit, then make it 50c...........or find some flowers in those bins..talk about tight.

Linda.........We'll have InterFlora vans lined up in your street on your birthday.....better borrow some vases

Goodnight Linda

If we take the s*exy specs from Berona perhaps she won't notice about the flowers. I could spray them with aftershave and tell her that they are paper daisies from WA!

Regards

Tec,

What suit?

I hocked that so that I could buy the 1c stamp for the postage for my original bunch of flowers for Berona!

Allan,
Do you get away with that kind of thing with your OH?
Mrs Tec would whop you about the ears with them if you tried that here.

Goodnight, Linda:-))

I keep disappearing because my home page tells me there has been an update on one of my contacts' tree. Sure enough we have some more info. on descendants. OH will be amused to know that one branch went off to the USA.

I've got a good excuse, because our postmen are currently on strike,

but yours are not.

That couldn't have been much of a suit. Is that the one you left England with by any chance Ha Ha

Allan Report 24 Oct 2009 23:47

Tec,

That suit was a family heirloom...it was my dad's demob suit!

Sue,

I'm not sure that I would be admitting to having American relatives, although it does give new meaning to the phrase "distant" relatives :0))

That's interesting Sue, maybe you can track them. I've had some in USA, Canada, Australia, and NZ.

Found some more today through Hot Matches.

Allan,
I can actually remember my dads demob suit - it was horrible,
he looked like a Chicago gangster in it, especially with the trilby hat

Tec, I know what you mean. My Dad's suit was brown.

Speaking of hot matches, I've seen on numerous other threads complaints of people receiving copious quantities of matches.

Since joing GR in January this year I have received a grand total of ten; one of these did turn out to be a distant cousin

Well as it's nearly midnight, I'm off to bed, but I do get an extra hour in bed tonight, end of BST.

So enjoy Sunday my upside down friends,
and have a goodnight up top,

Goodnight

Just popped back to say my dads suit was brown also.

Today I had ten pages of Hot Matches, out of that only two names were actually matching.

Really am going now,
Goodnight
