But the PSS who sort out restbite for my employer is visiting his mum tomorrow to talk about his care package so hopefully they will have some new's on his restbite, They may have found some-one to take him for a week, I should know tomorrow, so will let you all know what happen's, finger's crossed

Hello, just catching up on a couple of days.
OH / GF had to go to hospital for a "procedure" yesterday so was a bit busy. See below for the gory details.
What a schemozzle GR or someone deleting threads, seemingly at random.
Posh's really uninteresting thread appears to be gone, maybe she has as well. Why? Maz (not sure whether it's the royal one) has been red carded. Why?
Meanwhile, new threads have been started for Jean D, Posh and Maz (among others). On Posh's old thread there was one person- a bloke I assume, who really p*s me off. He would drop in random trivia. He's at it again on the new thread.
To happier matters-
Berona, did you really think I saw the beasties on the Parramatta Road? Not so my lady, it was on the Glen Innes - Emmaville road and my hesitation in pronouncing it a deer (oh dear) was that I didn't think they were common in the Australian bush, apart from introduced ones in the Royal National Park south of Sydney. It was probably an escapee from a farm that didn't want to become venison.
My hesitation about kangaroo-wallaby- they are different species (I think) and while wallabies are usually smaller not all kangaroos are big either. Of course the main difference is that the Wallabies play the 15 a side Rugby Union game and Kangaroos play the 13 a side Rugby League.
I have seen kangaroos, wallabies, possums, echidnas and emus but not koalas or platypodes in the wild.
Tec, following your OH with concern. Does she have type 2? Maybe that is an incentive for me to stick to my diet and get a bit more exercise, so I don't have to take tablets or insulin.
More about my GF's adventures. She does have partial epilepsy, but she normally just freezes and certainly doesn't fall over. But she has collapsed in the street 3 or 4 times in the last couple of years, and they still cannot be sure what is wrong.
Various tests over the last few months came up negative, but yesterday's procedure was a cardiac catheterisation to double check that there are no abnormalities, and to implant what I might be brave enough to call a flight recorder. If she has another turn she (or the paramedics) can download data from the implant, just like an aircraft black box. Ain't technology wonderful?
She has recovered remarkably well and was planning to go to her WEA class today. She was still in bed when I left for work this morning.

Well, Colin, you weren't very specific, were you? The idea of seeing roos and deer anywhere in Sydney other than in zoos, was a bit hard to imagine - and I didn't even think of Parramatta Road! How long would they last there?

My goodness, that's scary about your OH. I hope this new idea works out well for her. Modern technology is wonderful, isn't it? Let us know how she gets along, will you?

Hi Berona, if my memory is correct which should not be assumed I think I did say a rural road. When I get time I will write about the kangaroos I saw years ago between Adelaide and Nyngan.
