B***er I was just telling you all about my kangaroo experiences and my message disappeared. Too late (lunchtime) to retype. Let's just say I had a "what was that?" moment- it was a deer, I think, following a small 'roo or wallaby, not sure which, and a fox on the same stretch of road.
Tec, you did see a castle in Ballarat. I don't know much about it but in the 19th and 20th century sometimes homesick gentlemen with more money than sense built such things in the Australian setting.
Nowadays they just build McMansions. Nothing much wrong with the houses themselves, but to me they look ridiculous perched cheek by jowl on their huge 300 square metre allotments (conversion- about a twelfth of an acre, I think).
Losing track of names so just ~~~~~~~~ to all from Alicat to Tec and hope that includes everyone or my ears will be boxed. Colin.

Colin - you're not telling us that your saw a deer or roo where you live?
What had you been drinking? and how come you can't tell the difference between a deer and a roo?...That must have been SOME binge!

Ooh, what are we doing on Page 2? I see a lot of threads on the Jean thing, guess that's why we're so far down the line. I just don't understand why someone would complain about the stickied thread.

Carole, I watched Murder She Wrote during my Herceptin treatment. One of the ladies who has been coming in for quite a while and having chemo, was wheeled in. Has obviously been in hospital - she looked terrible, yellow in the face. I haven't asked after her. The last time I asked about one of the ladies I had got friendly with and hadn't seen for a while, I was told she had died. So, I'm not asking anymore. If I see them, I see them. If not - not asking - too upsetting.

I had better go and shift the sprinkler. Just wanted to get "our" thread back up to the top!

Stay beautiful, Carole and everyone else!!!!

Good evening/morning, friends.

It's not a happy chat board at the moment. Jean is a dear friend of mine and it's difficult enough for everyone who loves her without this kind of thing happening. Many people feel helpless and the "sticky" thread was a way to pass on positive thoughts.

It's been a very warm day today although it cooled down this afternoon. We did some work in our daughter's garden today - just tidying up and getting rid of 3 very dead pot plants. My daughter doesn't have a green thumb:-)) I think the children are starting to miss mum and she's certainly missing them although she seems to be having a lovely time.

Hello Sue and Alison. Nice to see you again. I suppose someone has brought you up to speed by now. We had a lot of angry people on the board this morning - last night for them - and quite a few threads disappeared.

Alison - that kind of experience with people not attending any more, would be very disturbing, wouldn't it? I hope you don't let it get to you.

Sue - How long now? must be only a couple of days. You will go home and relax - then I'll bet you miss them!

Berona we will finish babysitting duties about lunch-time Friday. We're loving it but it's darn hard work. Luckily they're good kids.

Good evening all ;-}}

Ali..you do seem to like Murder She Wrote, Ive heard of it.. but cant for the life of me think what its about (shrugs shoulders, it cant possibly be age) lol:-) xx

That's great that the beautiful, Jean...had her stickied thread re-instated, I am just at a loss to understand why someone would have had that thread removed and so upsetting for all her lovely friends.

Tec...I drove to Ballarat again today, That castle that you mentioned on an earlier post, would it have been Kryal Castle by any chance?
We went to Ballarat today because my daughter had an interview for her Equine Studies for next years VCE. We will be notified if she is accepted into the course in about 2 weeks time.

A big hello to Sue, Linda, Barbra, Diane, Berona,Allan and Colin and anyone else that visits :-}}

"Stay beautiful"... Ali-Cat and all:-))
