There! you see! Trouble already. When Allan said his lawn was 4' higher and he has to lift the mower up there - I read it as 4" because of my specs, and I wondered why he had trouble lifting it up four inches!

Might put the old ones on.

Thank's Allan it nice to know some people care even if the people who should be organiseing another person to do the restbite don't, they have had at least 4wks up to now to find some-one else, but what do they care as long as they get their allotted time off.

Diane

Just remember that people like yourself are sometimes taken advantage of by organisers.

A case of "oh we can rely on Diane, so the respite worker can go somewhere else"

Please, take care

The thing is Allan, the restbite person is not aware of my arrangement's with my employer's mum, other than I can't have my holiday's if my employer doesn't go into restbite. She deal's with my employer's mum and doesn't know that I am the only carer for him. They are just told the allotted day's and sort out the restbite care, she is not aware that I work 7dys a week and only have the 4wks off.

Oh darn! I didn't get to say goodnight to Barbra.
Belated good night, Barbra. Sorry.

Diane - is there any chance you can DEMAND to have your week off? I mean, just TELL them someone else will have to be sent because you are going?

Oops - we both posted together. I think you answered me there.

Seems like awhile since been saying hi to everyone...Hope you are all going okay..

Busy busy as per normal and had two sick children this week so have been at home looking after the darlings..Sore throats and colds cant be to careful these days eh..

Over the weekend we went to mys sons windup for football go kart racing which was fun, son came home with fairest and best trophy ( two years in a row I might add..:) ) so was a great day in all...Weekends are going to be alot more relaxed now without the footy tho might give me chance to catch up with other things....or maybe even some family history !!

Anyways folks must be off to get ready for Tafe...Enjoy your day whatever you may been doing and Brits have a lovely sleep and then a lovely day !!

Hi Diane,

Problems over - almost anyway,

OH has been quite poorly for 24 hrs, but seems better now. Sitting here last night on here, noticed OH had gone quiet, but thought she was watching tv, however, when I looked over she was away with the fairies, as we say - unconscious with very low blood sugar level 1.2 to those that understand. So then a panic to fetch her out of it before she went into full coma. Got over that, but had to stay awake all night to watch her. The same thing happened at 5pm today, so away we went again.
When she comes out of it she is always confused and disoriented for quite a while.
Ho Hey, we do have fun.

Diane,

I know that it is easy looking at these things from a distance, but I still think that people are taking advantage of your kind nature.

I realise that will not change anything, but please do put yourself first occasionally. ;0))

Good evening Tec. That's what I was imagining was happening and we have been quite worried for you.

Keep watching her (as I'm sure you do). Hope you are able to make up your sleep, although I can see why you probably don't want to close your eyes.

Sorry folks that last delete was mine. My message to Diane still appeared in the typing box so I thought that I hadn't sent it.

Tec, that was a dangerously low BS level! I hope that Mrs Tec is now stabilised.

Diabetes is a **** condition to have

Thank you all for your good wishes - yes diabetes is an awful thing, OH was diagnosed 20 yrs ago, but condition has worsened as the years go by. Nightime is very difficult, because the only way I can tell if she's in trouble is if the breathing pattern changes, or if she breaks out in a cold sweat.
Think I may be awake again tonight - oh well.
