Diane
I know it is not malt but I have two bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. I'm too scared to drink the stuff!

Why Allan, please explain why you are scared to drink it?
Is it because of your health?

Berona

Berona Report 18 Oct 2009 23:45

Barbra - you're a baby yet. My children are older than yours and I DIDN'T marry young! Don't worry about the age of your relatives when they died. Take advantage of the fact that medical science has advanced since then and enjoy your life.

Vices - I have none. I'm prefect! (except that I'm a sucker at times - just read my previous posts!).

Allan

Allan Report 18 Oct 2009 23:52

Diane..its the cost! To buy in the shops it is $300.00 a bottle, Each bottle is numbered and comes with a certificate of Authenticity. No mention is ever made about the age of it.

I got mine for a lot less than that price as it was a special release from a bonded warehouse

Barbra, as Berona says, worry not! My mum was just 55 when she died and when i reached that age I nearly put myself in hospital with anxiety. My dad died at 68...I'll try not to make the same mistake of worrying

Hello Everybodeee!

Just popping in quickly. Hope you're all well (and as Tec says, full of glee - personally, I'm just full of IT).

Well, Linda, there is no taintedness (is that even a word?) in my family either! So, my ancestors aren't crooks and apparently we're not of Royal blood either (I still ask hopefully when I get my blood taken "Is it blue?") The answer is always "no."

I don't want to name everyone either for fear of leaving someone out and hurting their feelings, but I do feel I need to say hello to Alison In Oz ('cos we is special like) and also Carole, who for some strange reason keeps telling me I'm beautiful - not that I mind - I'm just rather bemused by it!

I hope Berona, you're happy with your new glasses.

I need to toddle off now. I have Herceptin again tomorrow. I need to pack a dvd to watch!

Stay beautiful (especially Carole)

By the way, you can call me Ali or Ali-Cat if you want to differentiate between Ali In Oz and myself.

Ooh look - it's wine o'clock!! Yaaay

Berona

Berona Report 19 Oct 2009 08:11

Just call me "Sexy-specs"!

Enjoy the vino!

Alison

Alison Report 19 Oct 2009 08:26

Sexy-Specs it is!!

I shall enjoy my wine thank you, Berona. I only have 1 glass - takes me a couple of hours to drink it!

I should probably be putting the veges on for our silverside tonight.

Ciao

Poor unattended thread, I guess we are all busy.

I hope Berona can make her way back in her new specs. I have varifocals, I am as blind as a bat without them, but I can't remember the last time I just put a new pair on and said "that's fine", there is always something wrong with them. Maybe I need to get myself a new optician.

Carolee

Carolee Report 19 Oct 2009 12:25

Coowee all:-))

Och, Ali ye're a sweetie! (I'm practicing badly I might add my Scottish accent)
I'm reading a book at the moment..the author is writing in the Scots drawl..I just love it.
I hope you enjoyed you're glass of red and silverside!!

Berona...Don't you just love it when you get new specks, I do...but my hubby doesn't, because it always costs a fortune:-))

Enjoy your day pommies/Sleep tight Aussies...Stay beautiful!!

Good morning/evening everyone! This message may have a few mistakes in it, but I am persevering with the full readers, and I think I may have to go back to the eye man - things a a little blurred. I told them how far from the screen that I sit, but the lenses seem awfully strong! I'm getting used to the bi-focals, but find that when reading a book, each time I turn the page, I push the glasses up. Looks like another trip back to the shop!

Another beautiful day coming up by the looks of it. This is the kind of weather I like - although the forecast is for quite hot later to-day. Preparing us for summer, which starts on Dec. 1.

Is it this weekend that the Brits put their clocks back? My goodness! we will have all that extra time to chat, won't we? That will put us Eastcoasters eleven hours ahead of GMT. I'll never get any work done!
