Berona, It's not too difficult to pick up where they are in the course, and just to guide them through the lesson.
The satisfaction is spending a whole school year with them, and watching them become competent in reading and writing.

I can imagine that if you look back to the beginning of the year and see how different they are now, it would give you a sense of achievement.

Allan - I'm still wondering if you really put parsley and coriander on your corn flakes? I have been trying to get my head around that one since you posted it! Does it add flavour?

I've said this before. Because we are gentlemen, and therefore would never offend the female of the species, this is misinterpreted as weakness. Predators will always attack what they see as weakness.

Lucky me - I am off to do a 'chemist run' - refill of all the things which make me rattle when I shake!...See!...not only the young ones shake, rattle and roll! I roll when you make me laugh and laughter is good medicine! Keep it coming.

Yes, you're right, we're big boys now, and secretly we enjoy being lambasted by the girls, it's a laugh.
I too went on the chemist today, came home with a bag full.
7 in the morning, 5 at dinner time, and 4 to go to bed, any YOU rattle!

That's what I like about Sue's Thread: there has never been any of the nastiness, or carping, found on many others.

Just popping on quickly, heaps of posts since I was on here (and by the way, I didn't delete the post directly under mine on page 266).

I hope Diane, you get your week off. Hope Linda gets a break from all the estate stuff. Poor Tec - a good night's sleep and you'll be fine hopefully.

I agree with the difficulties of the same names in families. I was a good girl and put my maiden name in my boys names, followed by their fathers Christian names (married twice).

Anyhoo! Hope everyone is going ok and enjoying grandkids, chemist supply stock-ups and fancy gourmet cornflakes etc.

For all that the ladies are going to 'box our ears' and do various other unspeakable things to us, they always seem to drift of the Thread in ones or twos, like a morning mist being burnt off by the sun

I think that they are the real softies!
