Thanks Janet,
Seems there's a new scam every day, you certainly have to keep a check on everything these days.

Playing marbles on the footpath, and games like kick can...a bit like hide and seek but when you were "caught" you, and all the other "captured" kids, would have to stand in a prominent place and if a "free" kid was able to kick a can over provided for the purpose, withoue getting caught then everyone was free again...needless to say this game could go on for hours!

Oops - I mixed two words around"

Electronic Funds Transfer at Point Of Sale.

Paying by card - can be immediate withdrawal or credit.

Haven't heard anything as yet. Only about Hotmail usernames and passwords being hijacked. Thieves and hackers everywhere!

Hi, Janet. My youngest has just found out what may happen when buying over the internet on an unsecured site. He lost over $400 in fraudulent withdrawals before his bank realised it and informed him. Luckily he will get it back. They were clever and only took it out in reasonably small amounts so he didn't realise the money was missing.

Must be off and start the day. See you all later - enjoy the day, Aussies and a good night to our Pommie friends. I do enjoy your company and it's always a lovely start to the day.

Also I never see the game jack's played, must walk round with my eye's shut , or to much time in work not enough time spent with grand-kid's.{ OH NO not that again } must avoid that subject " WORK " or will bore other peep's with my woe's. Hello and good evening or afternoon or morning,
Just a quickie to explain my liking for opera. I also like 50-60s pop. Long before we started going out, my girlfriend was a subsciber. At first I was not interested, but was persuaded to come to one where she had freebies- and loved it. Not so much the singing, but the drama, the staging and the costumes.
Eventually, we began to share a subscription- she would go to some, I would go to others. Eventually it got to the stage that with a set series we were seeing ones we had seen before, so we swapped to a "choose your own" series, again shared so we only had one ticket for each opera.
Just over 3 years ago she was on her way up the many stairs and fell, breaking her wrist. Refused to go again; however, I took over the subscription for a year.
Funny thing was, the year after she was a little keener and I offered a joint subscription, We would choose 4 or 5, and both go together.
A couple of months ago a lift and escalators were installed to replace the rather grotty service lift that disable people previously had to use.
Gail, I also like the lighter stuff. This year our four were Magic Flute (with an acrobatic troupe as part of the action), Cosi, and two heavier ones, Manon Lescaut and Dido and Aeneas.. Next year we are seeing Midsummer Nights Dream by Britten- again, but it was a brilliant staging, also Sondheim's A Little Night Music (Send in the Clowns is from it) with Sigrid Thornton .
Off to do some housework and dinner. See you all later.

Hello all:-))

Colin I love A Little Night Music - Send in the Clowns is the most beautiful song. It's a very complicated story isn't it?

I probably won't be on here in time to talk to you all as I'm baby sitting a couple of hours in the morning. Don't miss me too much and please lots of talk and jokes so I can have a good read over a cuppa.

Have a great day, Poms and good evening Aussies.

Oh dear, Sue - you're not leaving me on my own with those two, are you?...I hope the ladies join us!

I was too soon with my weather report. The blue skies and sun gradually changed to grey. When I went outside, I could feel light rain on my face, but couldn't see it. Around lunch time, we had sprinkles for about ten minutes, then they were blown away by gale-force winds! I went out to batten down the hatches, but it stopped as quickly as it started, and by sundown, back to clear skies and sun again! Nothing like variety!!

I was just about to log off Berona but another thread caught my attention. I'm sure you'll do just fine with the fellows on here - they back down pretty quickly when you give them a clip around the ears:-)) The weather here has been the same. Very changeable and so cold. Not looking good for the weekend either.

Good Morning /Evening Everyone, Down there - Up here,

Sue, You will be missed - come back soon.

Berona, Whatever do you mean? Just because Mother's gone awol, it doesn't mean you will have any trouble from Allan and Colin. Two fine, polite, upstanding, clean cut, well bred young men like them. Well, youngish anyway, I'm sure you have nothing to fear from them. Anyway, I've heard that right hook of yours is like a kick from an angry roo.

Speak later........Tec.
