It has taken me ages to catch up.

perhaps Diane you could fly your trusty broomstick over to Oz, although as nanny Ogg says..it could be a long flight and a bit drafty around the nether regions.

Sue, when we were in the goldfields we often had thunderstorms but without the rain. We would watch the magical fireworks without getting wet.

Tec, you don't seem to have done much stirring in my absence

After 3 years my suitcase is finally unpacked!

Yes, I thought it expedient to behave, I know when it's prudent to keep a low profile, though I have to say, the girls have been very kind to me, no one took advantage of me - quite disappointing really.

Hi, Tec

Diane, some shows from childhood (Wooden Tops, Muffin the Mule, Andy Pandy) but I watched Trumpton when I was working at the Fish Docks in Grimsby.

I would start work at about 5.30 am and finish at lunch time then hoem to watch Trumpton or bagpuss depending on the day, supposedly with my son who was aged 3 at the time, but I secretly enjoyed the programmes!

Sue, the work trips were to Councils, not for them. I'll still do contract Health work but just concentrate on those Councils closer to home.

Having said that I have been invited to provide a quote for the City of Kalgoorlie, they are after someone for 4 straight weeks: Air fares from Perth, full accommodation with meals and use of a Council vehicle, but I am alread committed (No comments, please!!) to Dardanup until late November

Apolgies, Tec, I never answered your question.

The trip was good, weather a bit cooler then here but some magnificent scenery. The Canola crop is in full bloom and the paddocks seemed to be covered in yellow snow and stretched to the horizon.

I also take it for granted that I can travel for over 300 kms, one way and nary a traffic light to be seen!

Not sorry to leave the B & B though..it was a bit like Fawlty Towers on speed!!

No I haven't seen the night garden, so can't comment. But the childrens tv I have watched is in my opinion rubbish. I know times move on, but todays kids programmes seem so manic, fast and noisy.

Allan, Heard of it, but where is Kalgoorlie? Queensland?
