Hi Everyone,

Nice to see Allan and Tec are in trouble again!! I'll have you know that shopping is an art - and don't tell me you guys don't get carried away in the hardware shop!! *sticks tongue out*

Hi to "them two what is cheeky", SueMaid, Carole and Colin! I'm wondering if Berona is battling her computer again and trying to get on here!

It's just gone 8.00 here and I have scans today. My 12 year old has been in (he's the food police today) and made sure I have finished my coffee and reminded me that I can't have anything but water now until my scans at midday!

Is there any news on Jean? I couldn't find anything.

Hooroo

Hi Berona,

You popped up while I was typing. How did you get on at the doctor with your forms?

Allan

Allan Report 1 Oct 2009 23:18

Hi Alison

I have Colin's problem..I'm such a slow typer that six posts appear while I' typing a reply to an earlier one.

I think you are fortunate to have a caring son who is willing to make sure that you do the right thing. I hope all goes well later in the day

Regards

Hi Tec, Allan, SueMaid and anyone else who's here

Linda, hope you are feeling a little better hun

Carolee, your PAW dog, hope he's ok now

Tec, Allan, you really do like walking on thin ice LOL

SueMaid, why do the men keep trying to wind us up? they must realise they will alway's come off worse LOL

To all my friend's on here I'm feeling more positive than I have been of late, though problem has not been resolved, I'v decided to stop allowing it to get me down.

Good Morning Alison,

Good luck with the scan, hope they don't keep you too long today.

Good Morning Berona,

Everyone talks to me, anywhere. Is it my face?

Tec.

Hi Diane, *giggles at really bad paw joke!*

Glad you're feeling a bit better about things.

Stay beautiful!!!!!!!

Hopefully Tec, it will be quick. I have to drink a fair bit of water and hold my bladder for 1/2 an hour before the scan. Hello? Do they not realise I am female and I've had children? At least I don't have to have that revolting contrast anymore, just plain water. Yaaaay.

Good evening Diane. it's nice to 'see' you again

Thin Ice indeed...we should be so lucky in WA

I don't think that Tec and I wind up anyone on this thread...but of course there may be some sensitive souls who misconstrue our banter!!

Hello, Berona and Alison.

Berona that's quite true about people not talking anymore. I interviewed a couple of new volunteers last week and as I explained the Code of Confidentiality to them they both remarked that people tend not to chat to anyone anymore because everyone is too busy respecting people's privacy. At a recent seminar we had a guest speaker who is a psychologist specialising in helping people cope with life-threatening diseases. He is a wonderful man and very well respected. He asked us to conduct an experiment when we are out and about for our own interest. Simply it is to smile at everyone who you meet in the street, shops, elevator etc. and see what their response is. So I did. I was met with return smiles, stony stares and suspicious looks. Not enough smiles, I'm afraid. We are concerned with invading people's "personal space". That's why children are abused in their homes and elderly people lie dead for days and weeks on end before they are discovered. Sorry - it's a personal bugbear of mine.

Hello Diane,
Good to see you here, and to know you are feeling a bit better,
The girls like to have something to bash now and then,
it might as well be Allan and I, and occassionally Colin.

Another slow typer:-)) Hello, Diane - it's good to see you. I'm glad you're feeling more positive and I do hope the problem is able to be resolved in the future.

Alison good luck with your scans. Don't wet yourself will you - very undignified.

It's good to see all the ladies posting on here. I notice that Colin is also becoming more frequent with his posts. Is this in support of the wayward ones? Whatever the reason - good to see it.

Yes, Alison, I am mobile for another year. What a hassle! My licence was renewed for five years without asking, but I've had the run-around getting the doctor and eye specialist to say I'm fit to drive so the licence won't be taken away from me - but only until next year, when I go through the tests again. I certainly won't be doing it for five more years.
Your son sounds like he looks after you. Does he still worry about you like he did before?
