Good Morning Sue, and Carole,

Sue thank you for the help with the time zones, I was very confused, as was I think, Allan, and he lives there. What hope me.

Carole, I am so pleased the puppy is ok, I meant to ask. My dog means the world to me, and is my constant companion.

Good evening/morning all

Carole, is your dog a Springer? :0)) Seriously I hope that the pup has not come to any harm

Tec, my wife always makes out a shopping list....and then proceeds to purchase anything except what is on the list. OH's reason the list is for things we need..other purchases are things we want! Women!! (let me know when it is safe to come back on this thread)

Linda and Alison, please both take care of yourselves.

Tec, once on our travels here in Aus. I wanted to go into a craft shop. Not exactly great fun for OH and there weren't any shops of interest for him so he sat on a bench outside. When I mentioned it to the lady who ran the shop she took me into another room that had a TV complete with remote control, newspapers and magazines and a coffee machine. All designed to keep disinterested OH's happy. I went out and called my hubby and told him. His comment is not for this thread:-)) However what he was saying was that he wouldn't be sent to a play-room while I shopped:-)) He too sat talking with some local characters including an elderly Aboriginal man who was apparently fascinating.

Allan,
I suppose we are getting into hot water here again - oh well.
When a guy goes into a store, he knows what he wants - goes in, finds it, pays for it - job done - five minutes.

Sue, I think it's a brilliant idea, as I'm sure your OH would if he had been left out in the street, freezing, wet, fed up, suicidal, as often as I have,

Good morning Carole and Sue

Good evening Tec

I'm disappointed that my comments regarding shopping did not lead to shouts of righteous indignation...i must be loosing my touch!

I don't even have the choice of staying outside the shop. When I do shopping by myself I only purchase the items on the list, and still get into strife

*Note to self...Must try harder*

Carole, I am pleased about that...most women just grimace!

You fellows on here do tend to leave yourself open to being bashed severely around the head and shoulders. A shame really. You are all great - in your place:-)))

Hello all. Your posts have been bringing a smile to my face - and nudging at memories too.

Allan, I can't complain about your comments. Your OH and I have something in common. I cannot go shopping without a list - and always come home with twice as many items as there are listed! The items on the list are those which I don't dare go home without - the others are always necessary (?) but were forgotten. That's what I tell myself, anyway.

Tec - you have brought back memories of sitting in the waiting room at the doctor's surgery and listening to people unfolding the full history of their entire family on some unsuspecting stranger (very often me). It made me realise that I haven't known this to happen for quite a lot of years now...These days, there are still people in waiting rooms, but they sit there in silence - nobody speaks to anyody. I wonder why this is?
