Unless the weather is very weird we only get snow on the Stirling Ranges, naer Albany and it doesn't hang around, usually gone within the day

I'm happy to report that our fire is out. There have been about 3 burning in our district in the last couple of days. Please, please Allan - send us some rain! Pur-leaaaase!

Just as I thought Alison - you are a cheeky girl:-)) You're giving our Allan a a bit of competition as our resident comedian. Glad the fire has been put out - a bit scary I should imagine.

Diane - it was lovely to see you.

The AGM went very well and I am still El Presidente. There was no other nominations so I was elected unopposed. That doesn't mean nobody else thought they could do as good a job as me - it means nobody wants the job:-)) The person who we thought we would have problems with is still on the committee but we have two new committee members who are have quite strong personalities so she won't be able to stir the pot too much. I wouldn't mind her speaking her mind if I valued her opinion but I usually don't. I know that sounds awful but she is the most "self-serving" person I have ever met and will try to sway any vote if it benefits her.

Berona - Tec has put this image of Dame Edna in my mind now:-))

Linda - if you're looking in we are all thinking of you. I hope you are managing to get some rest.

You're right - every committee benefits from "new blood" combined with more experienced members. If we lost our secretary we would all give up - she does a tremendous amount of work. So here we go - onward and upward as they say.

The weather here is shaping up to a glorious day. I've just been outside to water the garden and the sun felt lovely and warm on my face. It's wonderful to see the garden come to life although everything is still a little dusty.
