Tec, it surprised me to see names of my classmates of 1946!!! However, they weren't part of my 'group' at school, so I haven't bothered to get in touch. The real friends from those days continued to be friends after we left school.

Good night. Sleep well. Hope each new day brings the Duchess back to better health.

lol Allan, you are supposed to wear the right clothing ! thick gloves ( as opposed to brainy ones ) are usually a good idea !

Sorry Allan, it was you who I meant to address re finding classmates from 1946. I know where to look for the real friends from those days - I don't need FR to find them - but it is nice to learn what became of them all - to see what paths their lives took.

Nite Uzzi!

Well, it is shaping up for a really nice day In Western Oz...

All this, and a long weekend!

We may even crank up the barbie (queue that is, not the doll...just in case anyone gets hold of the wrong end of the stick).

Bye to all

Oh dear! Commisserations to St.Kilda fans - but getting to the Grand Final is an achievement in itself.

Berona,
Like you I joined Farmtown because I kept on reading about it on one of the Threads!

Berona

Berona Report 26 Sep 2009 10:41

Glad you enjoyed the game, Carole. It's only a matter of who was the best on the day, you still get to watch the two best teams of the season playing a good game.....And there's always next season!

Pat - I read so much about Farmtown on this board, that I joined to see if I could understand what they are talking about....Still don't know!

Linda - my thoughts are with you. I would pm but if you are not using the computer, there is not much point.....Let us know when you are ready to write and remember we are thinking of you.

Diane - hope everything is OK with you. Same thing to you - join us again when you feel you can. We will be waiting for you.

Good Morning/Evening Everyone,

Hope you are all well, bright eyed, and bushy tailed.

Well the good news is - that I won the lottery.
The bad news is - that I only won £10.....$20

So, what part of the cruiser can I get for that?
Guess we will all have to wait a little longer for our cruise.

Two young ladies from Aus did the draw - called themselves
"The Veronicas"
Apparently they are big in Australia?
I've never heard of them - maybe I should get out more.

Good evening Tec and all others - Good morning Downunders.

Tec. Good to know your luck is coming in. My advice to you is to invest your winnings - and if you keep winning at that rate, it shouldn't be more than about fifty years before we can get the cruiser. Don't buy a part of it - it could go rusty by the time you can get the rest of it.

Where's Allan? Still out on his walk?

p.s. Yes, the Veronicas are popular with the young ones. Not my cup of tea, but it's a long time since I was a teenager!

GoodMorning Berona,

I don't have fifty years! - I'll be happy to get through the next 50 minutes

Your first up this morning - do you think they've all run away without us?

Tec

Good morning, Berona, good evening Tec,

Yep...just back in from my walk. A beautiful clear sky but a bit on the chilly side. Yesterday was fantastic, nice and mild.

Commiserations to all St Kilda fans. I didn't watch the match but there is always next season.

Berona, I saw on last night's news that there had been further dust storms, but not as bad as the original. I hope that you weren't affected.

If Linda and diane do pop in even if they don't post, my thoughts are with you

Regards

Allan

I'm ok Allan, just adding details to my tree, I say I'm just going to do an hour, then five go by, since the parish records have come online for London, I have got so much information to add to my tree, I find new info daily, it's marvelous, only not much else is being done:))

Hope you are well?

Hello Lynda, nice of you to pop in. Not sure about being the Upsidedownies, though. We tend to think we are the one who are rightsideuppers - but trust the Brits to think they are on top!

Tec - I doubt that any of us has fifty years - so you'd better buy a few more tickets - see if you can speed up the process!

It's cold and windy here right now. Top of only 18 expected - but the sun is shining - so best to find shelter from the wind to-day. No, we don't seem to have got much dust as yet, although I've had only one door open and that has a flyscreen door fitted, but I do seem to need to give the furniture an extra dusting. I don't know how it seeps through. Last Wednesday, my car was locked in the garage all day and I still had to wash the windscreen to be able to see out of it. It seeped in over the top of the rolladoor.
Perhaps the wind at the moment will bring more dust.
