Well... I got on a horse yesterday, I did learn how to go and wow, but I was shaking so much with nerves, I thought the horse was going take off!!!!

Sue... I hope your grandson gets better soon, its awful when little ones are not well as you feel so helpless, give him lots a Nanny lovin!!!

Hello, Carole. I was thinking about you on the horse. Is it an experience to be repeated or is that the first and last time.

My grandson isn't feeling great but like all kids they pick up pretty quickly. Trouble is I'm not feeling great now. I have a sore throat and pounding headache and not much energy. I had to speak to a group of volunteers but I only stayed afterwards for a quick cuppa and then left. I've had a doze and feel a little better. Spring is worse than winter for nasty bugs.

Hi Carole, I was thinking of you too. My first and last attempt was when I was given a 'leg up' one side and kept going - coming down head first on the other side!....Any stiff joints to-day?

I'm not lying low, it's just that I can't keep up with all the repartee (is that the word?). A few pages back, when I was reading about Allan's hair or two, it crossed my mind that we must come across as a cross between The Goons and Alice in Through the Looking Glass.
Both had that totally of the wall, wonderful insanity. Love it.

Bit late to say but Linda, I am thinking of you. At least the hospital let's you visit whenever you want. At this time in your life and in your Mum's I think it's great that rules can be ignored. Don't forget to take care of yourself, too. Colin.
