Split personality, Allan. You're the hairy fairy on here but to the people on the other thread, you're Spiderman.

Allan Report 14 Sep 2009 12:43

Good Evening Berona

I'm in two minds about the split personality!

Well, I'm confused - Spiderman?

Berona, my grand-daughter is fine but her big brother isn't very well now. It had to happen.

Allan am I right in thinking that we discussed the mushrooms ages ago? I seem to remember you mentioning the magic mushrooms:-)

I'm off to bed - see you later:-)

A bald hairy legged maid in green wellies and Paddingtons hat...........

What a picture that conjures up.

Allan, For goodness sake, shave your legs, and knit a wig.

Hi all below and above
I have only come on to say hi, the situation with my daughter is a bad as it can get, I ended up looseing it with her I'm ashamed to say so I am very disappointed with myself, I will be back when I feel able to come back, but until then have fun on this thread and enjoy the friendship that you all have on here, speak to you all again soon

Hello Diane,
I am so sorry that things are so difficult between you and your daughter at the moment. Don't beat yourself up because you "lost it" with her. We are all human, and we all have a breaking point in certain circumstances.
You work hard, your health could be better, and doubtless you are tired. Patience can wear a bit thin when you are stressed. However bleak things seem just now, time will heal the rift, and when tempers have cooled, and things have resolved themselves, you and your daughter will be able to talk and smile again.
Don't stay away from the thread, you are among friends here. We might all be a bit crazy, but crazy does help in this mad world.
Come back soon.

Best wishes,
Tec.

Diane, I agree with everything Tec has said. Be kind to yourself and please come back soon. We're here to support you if you need us.

I hope that you can sort things out soon Diane.

Just to let you know that mum has now been moved into a side room and they are now letting things run their course. She is still perfectly lucid and has been chatting away about all the places she would have liked to go on holiday to and planning an imaginary cruise for when she gets out. She is very peaceful and was settling down to sleep for the night. Any thing could happen at any time of course, but at this stage it would serve no purpose for me to sit with her through the night. I will go in the morning and stay all day, normal visiting hours are now suspended for us. I will see how she is tomorrow night and just take things as they come. She is not in pain and is not distressed and mercifully is being well looked after on this ward,so that is good.

Thank you for everyone for being so supportive, no one can say how long she has left, it could be over fairly quickly or it could be days yet,so I will look in when I can manage to come home.

Linda, our thoughts are with you. It's a blessing that your mum is comfortable and being well looked after. Take care of yourself.

Diane, I too can only agree with Tec. Don't be a stranger

Linda, if this is to be your mum's last illness, at least she is not in pain and is being well cared for. My thoughts are with you and your family as always

Tec,

As I'm an upside downer shouldn't I be knitting my legs and shaving the wig?

I shall first have to experiment on the cat

'here pussy, pussy, pussy'

Put that poor moggie down, anyway you would look ridiculous with hair that colour.

Good morning Sue, good evening Tec,

I thought that smokey-grey hair would set of the green welllies nicely.

As you can tell, I'm a bit of a fashion guru!

Ah well back to slopping out the kitchen

Tecwyn Report 14 Sep 2009 22:29

Is that smokey grey hairy legs,?
or......smokey grey hairy head?

Don't you have a ginger cat?

Sue,
How are the grand children today, or is it too early to know?

Tec.

SueMaid Report 14 Sep 2009 22:32

Thanks for asking, Tec. Our grandson will be with us today as his mum is working for awhile. He normally goes to childcare but he isn't well enough. He's no trouble which is good because OH is painting window sills at the moment in preparation for new blinds.

Tec,

I'm going the whole hog....must be the swine flu. I always knew that one day pigs would fly!

As for the moggies, two were ginger but in the interests of scientific research, I wondered if their personalities were linked to the colour of their fur.

So I dyed them both, one ash blond and one smokey-grey...and yes their personalities did change....

.......we haven't seen them for a week!

lol
