Diane Hi,
Hope you had a good day, and are feeling better.
What do you think of that rather forward Linda? How much? Really. What do they teach them these days in those over priced Swiss Finishing Schools - No decorum obviously.

Together with the priviledge of being employed in one of the great houses of the realm, Balmoral, Sandringham, Windsor, or here, goes the prestige of the position. Renumeration is surely a minor consideration.

With regard to your enquiry. Please make yourself available at your earliest convenience. The Duchess is getting more irritable by the day. Her Grace misses companionship, and at present has only the parrot to talk to. She no longer talks to me, merely hurls abuse. Do hurry.

Tec.

then I will have to withdraw my application for the job, can't live on fresh air hun, I will await your reply
Regard's Diane.

Edited= yes Tec today has been less painful, thank's for asking

LindainHerriotCountry Report 12 Sep 2009 21:32

Just a kind smile will do Tec,

I have been trying to keep myself busy tonight so I have made Blackberry jam and bottled loads of beetroot.

Oh dear I forgot the pips in the will get under your false tetth so I should have made jelly instead!

LindainHerriotCountry Report 12 Sep 2009 21:34

Oh and all that sugar will be no good for your diabetes as well.

I have been making lots of vegetable soup and freezing that, maybe I could tempt you with that

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 12 Sep 2009 21:48

Diane.......... The conditions of employment are as follows...........

All staff have centrally heated apartments, television, telephone, internet access.
One week day off per week, and every other Sunday after church.
Use of the donkey for personal travel on days off.
Three meals per day taken below stairs.
Social gathering below stairs on Friday evenings, provided I am invited, and the Duchess is not disturbed. Alcohol provided in moderation.
Basic rate of pay starts £8-09p per hour depending on status. The maid with the hairy legs will be on basic rate.

Linda....
I would point out that it is not I who is diabetic, but the Duchess.
I am not overweight, so sweet puddings are allowed.
Also I do in fact have my own teeth thank you, and hair.

I always smile - all the time. That disturbs some people!!!

Oh apologies Tec, I just assumed that all people of your age had dentures (tee hee)

In that case, you can have anything your heart desires, as long as that doesn't include the hairy maid

Now the terms and conditions seem fine apart from the mention of church, that could be a bit of a stumbling block

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 12 Sep 2009 22:10

Linda..........
I may be senior to you in years - but I'm far from decrepid. It is true, that had I known I would live this long, I would have taken more care of myself.

If you object to entering the church, you may stand outside. However, I feel that a little Divine Guidance never did any harm.
Anyway, I never said I was going.

Tec.

Diane Report 12 Sep 2009 22:15

OK Tec I can except that, more day's off than I get now, doe's that include board and lodgeing's or do we have to pay for that, one moer thing, what our the dayly hrs.

Linda, the hrly rate is good don't you think, especially if we don't have to pay for our keep, just realised Tec said 3 meals a day, Whoopee no bill's to pay.

Not going???
But surely you have your own private pew. When else will you bestow your favours on the common village people?

Come to think of it, it is Lords of the manor bestowing favours on the females of the village which have caused so many of us problems in our research

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 12 Sep 2009 22:33

The family does have a private pew. The Duchess occupies this most Sundays. However, as she has long considered me a heathen, I am not permitted to accompany her.
I have long been a generous benefactor to the Parish.
As for bestowing favours on the women of the Parish........

Have you seen them lately? I'd rather be a monk thankyou.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 12 Sep 2009 22:37

Diane do you think from his last post that Tec is implying that all his female staff are ugly?

If so he can cook his own supper

Diane

Diane Report 12 Sep 2009 22:42

NAAAHH Linda
I think he may have been refareing to his previous employees, I hope so anyway, he know's not to upset the women on here LOL DON'T YOU TEC MATE

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 12 Sep 2009 22:45

I was obviously reffering to the village females, though it is hard to tell them from the men.

All my female staff will have been selected for their glamour, and ravishing good looks.
A pretty girl about the old house will brighten my days, and remind me of my mis-spent youth...............

Tec. Crawling again.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 12 Sep 2009 22:45

Good point Diane, what did happen to all his previous employees? Why did all the staff leave in one go, necessitating a whole new staff?
maybe we should reconsider working there, the conditions seem to good to be true

Edit Tec's response makes me even more suspicious

Diane

Diane Report 12 Sep 2009 22:53

Linda he start's any funny business and we will sort him out, I'm not worried hun I know how to handle him if there's any funny stuff,
[ YOU ONLY HAVE TO ASK MY EX ] LOL

They were fired en-bloc,
for drunken salacious conduct.

I will not tolerate debauchery under my roof.

I WILL NOT HAVE IT - DO YOU HEAR,

Jealousy is a terrible thing,

Allan Report 12 Sep 2009 22:58

And, if we are all working for the Duke and Duchess, what about our cruise?

I know that Tec will take some staff with him as he has to keep up appearances, but I fear that the maid with hairy legs will not be one of them. He couldn't stand the humiliation!!

Mad Maid of the Moors!

*takes of wellies and empties the water out of them*
