Many years ago I was started on the quest of the ilderton family tree by ken ilderton in canada,now years later i have given up.I am now only interested in my family from my father,his children etc.etc.I believe the problem is due to my father being a love child which caused great problems between two brothers edward and george and of course the ilderton family at large. The answer to this problem was that my father was basically given away to a sunderland family,his ilderton name only restored at the age 15yrs.I have tried to find information regarding his mother ethel maud but i think a wall has been built so that shameful episode of my fathers birth has been removed from memory.So on this sad note I have decided as i have mentioned earlier not to pursue further delving into this tree. |
