There can be so many places that you can get an infection and not notice it, and can be difficult to pinpoint. Hope she gets some results soon. Maybe an injection site went wrong.

Evening SM Daff, Mr Daff and troops,

Late on duty again..... I'll be on report!

So sorry Daff isn't home, but hope the doctors are sorting out the source of the infection, and she will be back with us soon.

Off to press my uniform before the next parade.

Elisabeth xx

MrDaff Report 2 Oct 2010 22:43

Not a good day - Winnie will be gone by now to see if 24-48hrs of antibiotics will sort out the infection without the line being in.
This afternoon was a constant 5 1/2 hours + 5 professionals taking 16 attempts to insert a cannula in a hand, arm, or foot - the last attempt being successful....... very painful and distressing. And that before the removal of Winnie..and temp still high. In addition, a 'driver' line was insterted in the stomach to administer anti-sickness drugs regularly over a 24hr period.

Still no food, and little to drink - but still trying to joke about things.
Day by day.

G'night all,

R
