Hi Mo, and everyone

Hope everyone is well

Only 2 more days, and we will be on the train to Montreal :-)

I'm busy trying to get my stuff together ....... I let OH sort himself out :-D

We have 1 small case and a bag between us for the 4 days on the train, and 1 case to be checked ........ with the clothes etc for Montreal and then the return home

We will have the laptop with us .................. but I have no idea what the WiFi situation will be. Certainly not on the train for most, if not all, the journey.

The weather looks as though it will be hot in Montreal

Then we're back for 3 days, before going up North for about a week

I'll try to post before we leave, but I think it will then be a case of me popping in as and when ............... so don't worry unless you haven't heard for a month :-)

take care everyone

Hi to all my friends, and very special birthday wishes to Jean,I am sure you had a lovely day <3 Love and Hugs Jean.
We are all well here, we had our first really big frost this morning the Bird Bath is still frozen , however it is a Beautiful day.

I will be doing some gardening later I am re-potting some of my larger plants and I have some lovely pansies to pot up for some color around the front door.

Sally I was very pleased to hear that your daughter wont need an operation, I am sure she was pleased to hear the news.

I am having the Cataract in my right eye removed on Wednesday 11th.June I should be able to see better after it is done, it is costing over $2,000 just for the Surgeon then there is the cost for the the Anestheist ,I have already spent a small fortune on tests re the Cataract.

Hi Huia, your Finger should heal better now you have had the stitches removed I hope all is well with your family and Phil .

My youngest Granddaughter Matilda is to be Baptized on Sunday and her two sister's are being received into the Catholic Church, I am very happy about this ,I just wish my son's and Daughter's would come back and practice their faith also .
I guess I need to pray a lot more.

Hi Sylvia,I hope you have a very nice trip.
The sprinkling of the Ashes and meeting with your daughter and family sounds lovely, also the sending of your sister-in-law off by drinking her wine sounds great.

Congratulations Mo, on your new Granddaughter and I love the name .I hope your tests go well this week
.
Hello Ann, sorry to have gotten the names of your hubby and Sallies husband mixed I do get a little confused now, now that I am 75 it is too be expected LOL

I will say goodbye to you all

Lovely day here today. Walked round for the papers after putting a load of washing on the line, including a large duvet cover (that took some lifting on.) Came back, did an hour in the garden, then came in and made two more photo cards. This afternoon we went to the range and bought T a new ironing board cover. Also bought a new small omelette pan to replace the one we lost. (I know!!! How do you lose a small frying pan?) a pack of screws and a few craft bits. came back and sat in the garden with a cup of tea. had to sit in the shade as it was too hot in the sun.
Sadly thought the forecast for tomorrow is not good at all so I was making the most of today.

Hope you have enjoyed your birthday Jean. :-D :-D <3

Hi Mo, and everyone

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEAN
xxxx

I hope that you have a lovely day

The plastic nose pad on my glasses split over the weekend ................... so I had to visit the opticians to have it replaced.

I thought I might as well take in the prescription that the optometrist gave me at the end of November last year :-)

They should be ready next week ................. but we'll be away, so they'll have to hang on to them!

take care everyone

Sallie if I want anything done to do with hearing I go directly to the hearing clinic at hospital.

Jean glad you felt like die cutting.

I hope you have a lovely birthday tomorrow.

Mo that is a really pretty name for the new baby.
Hope all went well at darts.
Huia hope the finger continues to heal now the stitches are out.

Had my hair coloured today, did the grocery shop and planted a few plants in the garden, luckily it was dry and sunny. :-)

Sallie Report 5 Jun 2014 20:40

Mo, that's nice giving the baby her second name after your mother, I'm sure that you must be thrilled. As you say, two of your granddaughter's with names of flowers. Bless them!

Hope that your team will win the dart matches tonight. You and Jean are not the only ones that might need new glasses, I am also having problems seeing things clearly from a distance with the glasses I have, so I must sort out an appointment for an eye test.

Jean, I am so pleased that you are feeling so much better that you were able to do some die cutting, even though you needed a rest after doing it.

Has J decided on which car he would like yet or would he like to keep to the same model car you have now, but of course a newer one?

I bet you are all looking forward to seeing Charlie on Saturday.....I bet he is growing in leaps and bounds now. Bless him!

I have to go to the doctors a week today, I feel that my hearing has got worse in my left ear, so need to see the doctor before I can have another hearing test, the last one I had was almost three years ago. So will have to wait and see what she says.
What between my hearing and my eye sight, don't rate this getting old very much.lol!!

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Jean. Hope you'll have a lovely day. xxx <3 :-) :-)

Hope all our other friends on here are alright.

Take care everyone.

Love, Sallie. xxx

Two grandaughters with names of flowers, well sort o, Lilly and Ava Rose.. The second name, is after my mum.

Tomorrow is opticians for me, I think I definately need news specs, I cannot for the life of me even read any wording on the T.V screen now, whereas I could not to long ago. More expense, but a neccessary need.

Right bath time for me, I have got darts tonight, thats if I can throw them. LOL

Congrats to Granny Mo.

Sallie, I had the stitches (2) out of my finger yesterday, and a new bandage, not so bulky, with a pressure bandage on it to reduce the swelling, and was shown how to exercise the finger to restore my grip.

We're away for about a week that time

OH has to have another colonoscopy on July 15th, it's only just over 3 months since he had the last one, but that's what the specialist ordered.

Mo, congratulations to both you and Roly on the birth of your new granddaughter.

Also congratulations to your son and daughter in law and to Lillie. I bet she will love her baby sister to bits and be very protective towards her.

Glad that things are okay there. Not too bad here either, thank goodness.

I think everyone has deserted this thread, it seems a long while since we have heard from our friends that usually post.

Huia, hope that your hand is improving.

Jean, hope that you are feeling a bit better each day.

Cooee girls,
Just popping in to let you know, our new grandaughter was born last night at 11.20, weighing in at 7lb 4oz.
Bless her, they have not decided on a name for her yet, so she is just Baby for now.
Up till now, Lilly has been very good with her, but time will tell, especially if she gets woken up by her crying during the night.

All is well here girls. we are looking forwards to our daughters wedding in two weeks Saturday now that baby is here.

I hope you are all well. I send you my love and best wishes, Mo xxx

Mo, pleased to know that you and Roly had a lovely holiday, pity the nice weather hadn't lasted a couple of days longer.

Let's hope that the baby will be here before Sunday so that she doesn't have to have a sweep, whatever that might be.

Have you got all your outfit sorted for your daughter's wedding yet? Hope the weather will be good for them on their special day.

Mo I hope that all will go well with the colonoscopy at the end of June and that there is nothing serious to worry about. As you said, you need to get it sorted as soon as possible, and worrying about it seems to make any symptoms worse.
Have you had a colonoscopy in the past, or is this your first one?

Jennie had another colonoscopy last week, to determine whether she needed an operation, her consultant was happy that she didn't need one, but told Jennie that the next colonoscopy she has, she will do it herself so that she can be sure that nothing has been missed.

Jean, I'm glad to hear that you are starting to feel better, hope that things will continue that way for you.

It sounds as though J is going to have a great time for his 80th birthday, I'm sure he will be thrilled with the surprises that you and D have planned for him.

As for making cards Jean, I have only done the ones that I needed to do. Although, I must say that once I started on them I really enjoyed making them and felt better for making them.

I made some for Jennie as it is her 29th birthday today......wish I was 29 again and know what I know now. Wouldn't we all I suppose. lolol!!

Well I must go now, hope everyone else is alright.

Love, Sallie. xxx

Hi everyone,
We had a lovely holiday, wonderful weather, up until Wednesday night, when we had the most horrendous storm ever.
Earlier in the day, we had decided to come home on the Thursday, rather than the Friday, as I had not been to well, but after the storm we wished we had gone on the Wednesday instead lol
The Caravan was beautiful, with all mod cons, and two loos, one each.

I had to see the specialist on Tuesday afternoon, and I have got to go in for a colonoscopy at the end of June.
The doctor has said they need to search further up, into my bowel, to see whats happening, rather than doing what my doctor requested.
Not looking forwards to it, but need to get it sorted as soon as possible.

No sign of our new grandaughter yet, she must be very comfy where she is. DIL is going to be having what they nowadays call a sweep, on sunday, in hopes that baby starts, and if not, she will have another one done on tuesday, and if that doesn't work, they will take her in and induce her.

Not long now till our daughters wedding, thats happening on the 21st of this month, so all round it's going to be a hectic month.

I hope you are all keeping well. I send you my love and best wishes, Mo xxx

Ann, the photos are brilliant, thanks for letting us see them. I can't get over the different colours of the nets in Lyme Regis, they look so bright and cheerful. Also like the photo of the bark of the tree, as Jean said, ' it would make a lovely
background for a card '.
Wish Alun and I could take photos half as well as you.

Mo, I hope that you and Roly had a good holiday, you certainly chose the right week for the weather, well for at least for the first five days or so.

Have your new grandchild arrived yet? I'm sure it's due round about now.

If I remember rightly, you also have a hospital appointment over the next couple of days. Hope it all goes well for you and that there is nothing to worry about.

Jean, hope you are feeling a bit better. I was pleased to see that you had commented on Ann's photo blog.

Have you been able to make any cards lately? I have been very slow making any, only made cards for both Jennie's and my friend's birthday which is tomorrow.

Hope all is well with J, D and the rest of the family.

Huia, read on another thread that you have badly cut and injured your hand. I hope that it is feeling a bit better, but by the sound of it, it will take a long while to get right.

Marie, lovely to hear from you. Hope that you and your family are all well.

Last week Alun and Michael did a good bit of work in our back garden, laid some new lawn down, with a path down the middle and put some shrubs and plants in. Must say, it looks really nice now, only trouble is, we have a week of rain so haven't been able to sit out and enjoy it.

Sylvia, not long now before you and OH go to Montreal, hope you get some good weather while you are there. Hope that your leg is improving and that you are finding it easier to walk.

Jennie, didn't have to have an operation, thank goodness, but I don't think that one can be ruled out sometime in the future. Hopefully it will be in the long and distant future,

Well my friends, I am going to have a hot drink and then it will be time for bed.

Will speak to you all soon.

Take care everyone.
