Too much information there Mo :-D Has Rory got a gas mask on?

Glad it is all over and just hope now that the polyp is insignificant. I bet you enjoyed your first meal

If you don't like fruit do you eat veg? Maybe now that you are not worried the pain will ease as you relax. Hope so anyway.

Mo in Kent Report 30 Jun 2014 20:15

Hello girls,
Thank goodness today is now over. After much fuss and bother in theatre, with the scope refusing to work half way through the proceedure, and them having to start all over again, they found a polyp that they removed, and have sent for biopsy.
Nothing else was wrong thank the lord.
The results of the biopsy should be back, in ten to fourteen days, but the surgeon told me not to worry about it, as he doesn't think it's anything to be overly concerned with.
They tell me the pain is being caused by my bowel not working as it should, and that I need to eat more fibre etc.
I always eat healthy, but am not overly fond of fruit, apart from Strawberries, conference pears, and grapes.
So they have suggested I have prune juice, and juices with bits in them instead.
Thank you all for being patient, and listening to my moans and groans, it has meant a lot to me having your support.
At the moment, I have an enormous amount of painful wind that I am trying to get rid of.
So my friends, I will say cheerio for now, take care, best wishes, Mo

Oh Ann, don't make me laugh, Roly cook himself something hah. He has decided, thankfully, that he will go and have a meal out, so that I don't smell the cooking, bless his little cotton socks.
He said as long as he is back by the time I have to take my first dose of opening medicine, so that just in case I need him. LOL, he would need to be a very brave man, to try and save me from falling down the loo pan....oooh the mind boggles.

Well girls, I have just eaten my last meal till monday lunch time. I had two jacket potato's with grated cheese, no skin though, tonight I shall have a few rich tea fingers before I go to bed.

Bye fo now my friends, I will speak to you Monday some time. Hugs Mo xxx

Mo. I thought I would tell you about the bacon sarnie, so that you would have a chuckle. Trouble is she didn't tell them that she had eaten anything so they started the colonoscopy, but of course they could tell on the screen that she had.
What a waste of time and money for the hospital, when another patient could have had the colonoscopy instead.

Thing is, Jennie has got use to having them, she has had 7 colonoscopies in the ten years since she was diagnosed.

Mo, hope all goes well for you on Monday, will be thinking about you and hope and pray that the results won't be anything too nasty.

Jean, hope that you feeling less tired now, but it's good that you all enjoyed yourselves and that everything went to plan.

Will chat to you all again soon

Take care.

Mo can Roly not cook anything for himself? t would do bacon and egg I think. I hadn't realised that you can have cuppa soups at least that is something. It will be memories of enemas at child birth then.

Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 26 Jun 2014 19:00

LOL Ann, what I am worried about, is how Roly is going to get on if I don't cook for him on Sunday....that will feel like taking sweets from a child, if I can't eat as well.
Perhaps he will have to get himself a take away instead. I will be filling myself up on cuppa soups, and oxo drinks, but it wont be the same without having bread to dunk in the soup.

Oh Sallie, what a stupid woman having a bacon sarnie before the proceedure.
Like Jennie, it's the moving drink is what I am dreading. Mind you, I take Movical night and morning at the moment, and I don't mind the flavour of that because it's lemon and lime flavour, I have no idea of the taste of the one I have to take at 2.00 p.m on Sunday, then again at 5.00 p.m...cor lummy I must remember to get some more books. Thank goodness the loo is right outside my bedroom door, not to far for me to run with my legs crossed. LOL It's a good job I can laugh about it.
I just hope and pray they don't find anything to drastic wrong with me, but I shall have to face it thats if and when it arises.

Oh lord, I have just realised, I have not checked my E.Mails in days, I must go and take a look.
Bye for now girls, hugs Mo xxx

Mo, it's good to hear from you, and hope that you are not feeling too bad. Jennie always says that the stuff you have to drink is worse than the Colonoscopy itself..although I don't think I would agree with her.lol!!

Jennie was telling us that one of the times she was waiting in the waiting area, a few ladies were chatting with each other, and one of them said that she had spent the night sitting on the toilet reading a book, because she was told as the others had, to stay near the toilet. Jennie said that they all laughed at her, but then she came out with the fact that as she had felt hungry about 7 am so she had had a bacon sarnie, Needless to say that they couldn't do her Colonoscopy that day.

Mo, don't worry about the photos, anytime they have a chance to send them will be fine. Get your appointment over with first.

Huia, sorry to hear that you are suffering from a very bad cold, as Mo said take paracetamol and honey and lemon to help relieve the symptoms. Hope that you will soon feel better. Take care of yourself.

Sylvia, nice to know that you and OH have arrived home safely. Although it sounds as though you didn't have much of a rest, I'm sure that you enjoyed the time there.
It was good that you had a restful train journey to Montreal and back.

Hope you have a good journey north and that you will find things more restful than the last couple of weeks.

Jean, how are you and your family today? Hope that you are all okay.

I've been to have a hearing test today, will have some new hearing aids in about two weeks, the right one will be set higher than the left one hearing aid. So it looks as though that my right ear is still worse than my left, although over the last month or so I felt as though my left ear had got worse.

Ann, hope everything is okay with you and T today.

Marie, hope that you and your family are okay, too.

Will speak to you all again soon.

Take care everyone.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Hello girls,
Well tomorrow I start my special diet, ready for my proceedure on Monday.
I have to be there by 8.20 a.m, so god willing, I hope to be home by lunch time.
Not allowed any food what so ever on Sunday, oooh I can hear my belly complaing already.
I am not looking forwards to taking the medication, to clear me out....sorry not a nice subject.

Sylvia, it sounds like you had a pretty hectic time in Montreal, but no doubt it was enjoyable.
I hope you get more of a chance to relax when you go up north love.
I hope your weather is being kind to you over there, as it has been to us here. We did have a drop of rain last night, but not enough to even wet the earth in the garden.

Oh Huia, I am sorry to hear you have got a stinking rotten cold my love. Staying home, and cosseting yourself is the bast way.
Probably one of your customers, came into the shop with it, and passed it on to you.
Take care of yourself please, have plenty of paracetamol, and lots of honey and lemon drinks.

Thank you Sallie, for your kind words. Lilly thoroughly enjoyed herself at the wedding.
When, and I mean, when, one of the family drop in, I will ask them to send some photo's to you as well.
Everyone is now back at work, so I am not sure when I will see them. You know what it's like, being at work, the weekends are the time to catch up with all the jobs, you are unable to do during the working week.

Take care my friends, hugs to you all, Mo xxx

Hi Mo, and everyone

we got home early yesterday(ie, Monday) from our trip to Montreal and back.

The meeting was great fun, but very tiring! The sessions started at 8 am, and things went on until 8 or 9 pm. Staying in a hotel 15 minutes walk (or 5 minute taxi ride) away meant getting up very early in order to get into the restaurant with plenty of time to allow for breakfast to be ordered, delivered and eaten

The train proved to be a great rest :-)

Now back for a couple of days before leaving to drive north for about a week.

It's good to see that you have all had good weather.

I haven;t read back, so I hope that I haven't missed anything important :-)

take care everyone

Jean. sorry I haven't replied to you sooner. Pleased that J and S had a great night at the cricket. It was good that C and E were better so that they could join you all for J's birthday celebration meal.

It's nice that C now knows you all so that you had lots of smiles off him. Had to chuckle when you said that he winked back at J.lol!!

Sylvia, thinking about both you and OH and hoping that you are enjoying your holiday in Montreal. Take care.

Ann, pleased to know that you had a good holiday with your daughter and son-in-law.

Huia, where are you? It's a long while since we have heard from you, I hope that all is alright with you and your family.

Marie, also hope that you and your family are all okay.

Mo, will be thinking about you when you have your colonoscopy.....which I'm sure is sometime this week. Good luck.

I have an appointment for a hearing test tomorrow afternoon, shall be glad to get things sorted. Not sure if I have lost some hearing in my left ear or it maybe the hearing aid or a bit of both. Anyway I shall hopefully know tomorrow.

I'm off to bed now, goodnight to you all.

Take care.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Mo, so pleased to know that the wedding went well and that you and Roly enjoyed the day...even if poor Roly nearly melted away in his penguin suit.

It was a shame that one of your daughter's was away on holiday in Turkey, but it sounds as though she kept up to date by phoning you.

I'm sure Lilly had a lovely day with her cousins and seeing her auntie dressed like a princess.

Like Jean, I would love to see the photographs too, if you are able to send them.

Mo not sure which day you have to go for your Colonoscopy, but hoping that all will go well and will be thinking about you..

Love and best wishes. Sallie, xxx

Hello girls,
What a wonderful day it was yesterday, but oh so hot. Poor Roly was wearing his penguin suit, and was sweating buckets, despite the fact that the air conditioning was working.
Our daughter looked stunning, and our Lilly called her Princess Kim, because in her little eyes she looked like a fairy tale princess.
The food was excellent, the only draw back was the long drawn out period between the wedding breakfast, and the evening reception. The meal had finished by about 5.30, and the evening party started at 8.00, such a long time for little ones to have to sit still, and wait for things to start again.
It was so lovely to have most of our family together for the occasion, one of our daughters is on holiday in Turkey, and was unable to come, but she was phoning us to see how things were progressing, she felt so guilty about not being able to come.
Jean, I have been sent some photo's via face book, but need to get one of the family to show me how to send them on to you, but I promise I wll try and get it done as soon as I can.
I hope you are all well, and not melting in this heat. Take care dear friends, Mo xxx
