Dear Mo

Hello

What a shock for Lily, Ohhhh!
The poor thing. Hope she's okay.

Went out this afternoon to a big sale for charity.

Now, I was told sternly by family folk not to buy any more books, DVD's etc.

What happened?!

I staggered back home with many books on research and history!

Well, can always find a bit of room........! :-S

The festivities of Halloween and Bonfire Night seem to have merged
at a couple of the displays here. Not too noisy, thank goodness.

Take gentle care
With best wishes
Elizabeth,
xx

Well girls, I survived my visit with our lovely Lilly and Ava, I arrived home exhausted, but a happy bunny.
Apparantly, when my D.I.L took Lilly trick or treating, she had a brilliant time, till they knocked on one house, that was all decked out in halloween decorations, and the man who answered the door, was dressed up as Frankenstein, Lilly screamed so loud with fright, and wet herself at the same time, bless her so would I have done at a shock like that. LOL
Little one showed me all the treats she had been given, and I was so surprised at all the different treats that had been supplied by the householders. My buying lollies was so insignificent by comparison, still never mind.

I don't envy anyone with pets tonight, the poor creatures must be petrified. There's so many fireworks going off, they must have cost a fortune.
I was watching a beautiful display from our bedroom window earlier, why go out in the cold when they can be seen from inside the house.

Hello there Elizabeth.

No Ann, I haven't got the blog addy.

Well girls, have you had many trick or treaters around your ways.?
Fortunately, we only had one family knocking, there was a mum, aunty ,and five children, so the bag of lollies we bought are now being eaten by us...LOL
The Swizzels lollies are nothing like I remember them being ,when my children were young, but they wont go to waste thats for sure, especially the way Roly is noshing into them.

I don't know, men and their toys. Roly decided he wanted a new Sat Nav, so decided to update to a Tom Tom rather than our old Garmin.
What a joke, it has kept him happy for hours, trying to sort out how to set it up.
Anyone would think he had never had one before.

Tomorrow I am taking Lilly out for a few hours, whilst our son and D.I.L have their new carpet laid, though the lounge, and up the stairs.
The fitters are apparantly arriving at 7.00 a.m, huh, they must be joking if they think I am going over to their house for that time in the morning, I shall still be fast asleep at that hour.
Since the clocks chsnged, I haven't been waking up till later, I suppose my body is still not accustomed to the change, but then even if I am awake at that time, I am like a zombie till at least 9.00.
Wish me luck, as Lilly will probably still be hyper from going out trick or treating with her mum at 4.30 this afternoon.

I hope you are all keeping well, and I send my best wishes to you all. Mo

Thanks Sylvia and Ann, guess what, I forgot to post the darned things yet again, so maybe I will leave it till next week anyway. I don't want to be the first one that people receive LOL

Today I have had my flu jab. My appointment was at 3.30, we arrived at 3.10, and we arrived home at 3.20 LOL hows that for treatment.

Isn't it awful how early it gets dark here in the U.K now, here we are at 4.30 ish, and we have had to put the table lamps on.

I think that, unless you specify surface mail it always goes air mail and that is why it gets there too soon. I am grateful to receive any cards whenever they get here :-)

Mo

I say this every year ....................

don't worry about being late with your Christmas mailings!

Most of them come airmail anyway

and it really is not welcome to get Christmas cards at the end of October :-(

You should check with your people in the various countries to see when they received your card last year :-)

I think you are well in time to send them air mail MO.

Thank you Ann, I had better get my skates on and post the cards as soon as possible, or they wont get there till the new year at this rate.
It looks like the ones for Australia and New Zealand are a bit late as it is, but hey ho never mind, they will arrive some time, and friends will know we have not forgotten them completely.

We have got a glorious day today, the sun is shining, but it is a wee bit chilly.

Oh darn it Ann, I have just looked on F.B, I shall have a look at the photo's tomorrow.
Will there be a party for your grandsons 18th birthday ?
One of my grandsons was 21 on the 17th of this month, he didn't want to go out with his friends to celebrate till the weekend, so went up to London with his parents and sister for the day. Sensible boy, waiting till the Saturday night to go out.

Well done on your shopping trip today Sallie, starting the present buying can be a chore, but when you start, it's surprising how things start to roll, and it's over and done with before you realise it.
I actually bought some christmas cards on Friday, and sat and wrote the ones out for overseas, still got to get them posted though...time to apply for a second mortgage I think. lol

Ann, I have to ask you again this year, whats the last posting dates for Australia, and New Zealnd please. I always forget don't I.

Well I will say nighty night, time for bed, I will get used to these time changes soon I dare say, I look at the clock and think....oops it's really 11.15 not 10.15, and my eyes want to close.

Mo glad the scan went ok, hope the time soon passes until you get the result and that it solves your problem.

Sallie well done on getting your Christmas presents, that must be a good start for you. I have most of mine as the older grandchildren mostly get money by request. Have to deliver son's presents early as we are going to see them early November for grandson's 18th birthday.

Any of my facebook friends, photos of Grandson's wedding are on there. I will now go and put some on the blog. :-)

Sallie Report 25 Oct 2014 21:53

Hi Mo, pleased that all went well with the scan, cross our fingers now that the results will show nothing serious to worry about.

We went to Derby this morning and then to the Range in Nottingham this afternoon, went to get some Christmas wrapping paper, bags and tags.I also got five Christmas presents.....so really pleased with myself, it's the most I have been able to do for quite a while.

We haven';t got anything planned for tomorrow, I hope to try and make a few Christmas cards.

Enjoy yourselves at the club, it's good that both you and Roly enjoy playing darts. I can't even throw a dart straight,it has always hit the board and fallen to the floor.
You wouldn't want me in your team Mo.LOL

I'm going to make a cuppa now so will speak to you soon,

Love, Sallie.xxx

Mo in Kent Report 25 Oct 2014 21:05

Hi there Sallie,
I couldn't believe that I nearly over slept this morning. I woke up at ten to eight, and my appointment was for nine fifteen.
Remembering that I couldn't have nothing to eat was easy, but trying to get two litres of water down in that short a time was a joke., remembering we had a thirty minute drive to the hospital.
When I was taken in for the scan, she told me I would have to wait for a further fifteen minutes, for the water to reach the parts it needed to get to, or she would need to do an internal scan....huh, no way, so I waited.
Now I have to wait ten to fourteen days for the results. Apparantly the cyst has not grown, but she wouldn't tell me anything about the bowel, so now it's a question of being patient and waiting.
Thank you for thinking of me love.
How is your weekend going? Have you and Alun got anything planned for tomorrow.
We will be doing our usual, going up the club for a few games of darts, nothing exciting, but it gets us out together for at least one day a week.
Roly has already changed the times on our clocks, and it's confusing me, him doing it this early. I must remember it's later than the clocks say. Why oh why must we keep changing the blessed time twice a year, my body clock just seems to start to readjust, and things change again. LOL

Hello there Elizabeth, I do hope you and your family are enjoying your weekend together. Sending you my very best wishes Elizabeth.

Well it's nearly time for Casualty, so I will say cheerio for now.
