I'm back!

Ann ........... I was so sorry to hear your sad news.

I hope you have a safe trip north, that the funeral goes as well as such things can, and that he gets a good send-off (as we used to say in Lancashire). (((xxxx))))

Marie, thank you for your thoughts.
I am pleased that you had a good Christmas with your son and daughter.
The fires sound awful, I hope that the area gets some rain to help control them. I see you had rain that cooled things down there which was good for you.

Hopefully I shall remember to wish you a happy birthday Huia but in case I don't I hope you enjoy a lovely day on the 11th.

Hello to you all and a Happy New Year to you all.

I do hope this year is a better year for us all
Ann I am thinking of you and your family loss.

Our fires have already started
Fires have been burning in South Aust. and Victoria, many houses have been lost already in South Aust in the Adelaide Hills, and to-morrow it will be hotter and the Winds will be stronger and thunder storms with lightening is forecast.
.
Victoria has lost properties also a lot of livestock and many miles of fencing and a lot of native animals.
Friends please say some prayers for Rain in the Southern part of Australia.

On a happier note my daughter Kerryann and I spent Xmas with my Son Michael and his future wife Susan at her home on Xmas Day.
We had a very nice time while we were in Castlemaine Victoria, it ended far to quickly
.We returned home New years day, both very tired. It has taken me days to recover.
We had 35 mils of rain overnight so the weather has cooled down I had a good nights rest. :-)

Happy birthday to you Huia for the 11th <3 I wish you health and Happiness and a Wonderful Day

Love and best wishes to you all <3 <3 <3 <3 Marie. :-)

Ann, my mum used to say it was unlucky to remove the decorations, for the twelve days of christmas, so we have always stuck by this ruling, but not this year. lol

Huia, I forgot you were going to your sisters. It's nice to know that you were not alone my love.

Oooh girls, we must not forget it's our Huia's birthday on the 11th, she will be 50 and a bit more on this day.

I shall have to ring the doctors in the morning, I have had an ear ache since yesterday, and am not sure if it's my ear, or a tooth thats playing me up. If it's not an infection, I shall have to phone the dentists and get an appointment for another check up.

Bye for now girls, take care. Mo x

My son and daughterinlaw came up on the Tues before Xmas, took me to dinner. They left the next day as I had already arranged to go to my sister on North Shore on Wed. for Xmas dinner on Thurs. I came home on the Friday. I am now busy sorting out Phil's clothes, some to go to the shop if I can get the name tags off, others to go to the rag bins. I am also sorting out mine, those that are too small, for the shop, also some that I bought in our shop but decided I will never wear as I have so much. The shop reopens on the 12th, the day after my birthday.

Our tree and decs came down today Mo. I am not superstitious but I had actually not heard it was unlucky to take them down early. Only that it is unlucky to leave them up after 12th night. I have noticed that a lot of people around us have taken their decorations down. Probably because they go back to work on Monday.

A happy new year to you Huia, I hope this year is better for us all.

I know it's bad luck, but I have taken all the xmas decorations down.
It's sooo nice to get the house back to normal. We blitzed the whole house from top to bottom yesterday, and it's shining like a new pin now.
All the last crumbs from christmas day, are now in the hoover, instead of being stuck under the furniture. LOL

Well dear friends, I hope you are all now recovering from the christmas and new year celebrations.

Sylvia should soon be on her way back on the wonderful train journey from her daughters home.

I wonder if Marie threw another shrinp on the BBQ on xmas day.

Huia, did your son come over to stay with you for a few days?

I hope Sallie and our Jean are both o.k.

Ann you and your family are in my thoughts love.

Take care everyone, new year hugs from myself. Mo

Ann, pleased that you managed to have a nice Christmas was they with things as they were/are. I'm sure having Luke there must have made things a little easier for you all. They are such a joy to watch as they open their presents.

Hope that you will have a safe and good journey home tomorrow, with no weather problems to worry about. Take care.

Mo, hope that you enjoyed Christmas with all your family round you and that 'Santa ' brought you some pressies .that you wanted and more. lol!!

I bet Lilly was thrilled with what she had and and happy and excited to have all the family there.

I'm sure that you must be shattered and happy to be able to relax after catering and entertaining so many on Christmas.

Jean, hope that all is well with you and your family and that you all enjoyed your Christmas. Also hope that C could visit you yesterday.

I actually made a birthday card on Christmas Eve and for the first time in a long while
I was pleased with it,so it looks as though things are slowly improving, thank goodness

We had a lovely Christmas with the family, it was nice to be all together. Richard and Christie went home yesterday afternoon. Glad they did now, as we had snow a couple of hours later, we only had 2-3 inches, but it froze, so the roads have been very icy today and with it being the Christmas holidays we don't have any gritters out, well apart from on the motorway.

Huia, nice to see you posting on here again, hope that your computer won't give you any more trouble from now on.

Also hope that you enjoyed a peaceful Christmas.

Not sure when Sylvia is due home, but hope that her and her OH had a nice Christmas with their daughter and her family,

If you are looking in Sylvia, hope you have a safe and enjoyable journey home.

Well take care everyone.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Love and best wishes.

Hi all from a bright Lake District with lots of snow on Coniston.

Christmas day was as good as it could be given the circumstances, it was lovely to watch Luke who didn't have all his presents here but loved what he did have. The adults did very well too.

Things are not very good with SiL we are thinking maybe days rather than weeks now. One Grandson is going to stay (and one lives up here of course) if nothing happens to change our plans we shall go home yomorrow and return as soon as w are needed. It is all very sad but he is comfortable in bed st home here which is where he asked to stay. Daughter is so good at caring for him you'd think she was a
nurse. We are so proud of her

The carpet is still not dry in the bedroom wet carpet smells

Hi there, just to say I am still in the land of the living, but GR is driving me mad. The format is all wrong and when I try to get it on Google Chrome I cant. It was all wrong with another webpage, but I can get that on GC. A visit to the PC hospital is called for I think, when the new year comes. It is too tiring trying to read the pages on GR.

A week ago I was in a garden centre and suddenly the whole place was going round and round and down I went. I think it was dehydration from the heat. I did go to the doc 4 days later and after she asked me a lot of questions and took my BP (normal) she agreed it was probably dehydration. I need to take more water with my water.

Mo, I am also cooking Christmas dinner for six, but I don't have to cater for 25 in the evening, thank goodness .LOL I have catered for that many in the past, but don't think I could manage to do it now. Enjoy your day with all your family around you.

Jean, hope that you are all feeling better and that you will see C on Boxing Day.

Ann, hope everything is going along okay for you all, and that you all have a lovely Christmas together.

Sallie, I am cooking for six of us christmas dinner time, and then catering for 25 in the evening.
Thankfully I don't have to cook dinner for us all at at lunch time. LOL My dining room table would not seat us all.
We had Lilly this morning, so that mummy and daddy could do the big food shop, without having to worry about her getting fed up in the queue, and wanting the loo every five minutes.
She is sooo excited, and kept saying, " I am being a good girl nanny"....I think the threat that Santa does not leave presents for naughty children is working.
She saw some presents that are for Roly and myself, under the tree, and asked what they were, when grandad told her, her response was, "you can open them now if you want," LOL saucy little minx.
Richard is lucky not to have to work boxing day this year, our son has to go in, as yet another sale is starting, thats all they seem to be having lately, but it does help with his commision at the end of the month.
I must remember to get the meat out of the freezer tomorrow, so that I can cook it christmas eve, or we wont have any dinner at all.

Well my friends, just in case I don't get the opportunity before the big day, I would like to wish you all, A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS, AND A HEALTHY NEW YEAR.

Take care, enjoy your day, hugs to you all, Mo xxx

Hi girls,

Jean sorry to hear that you are all still struggling with coughs and colds. I don't know if it is just me, but I'm sure that coughs and colds didn't last as long years ago as they seem to now.

Hope that you will all feel a lot better over Christmas so that C and family will be able to visit you.

Ann, glad to read on Shaun's thread that you and T had arrived safely at your daughter's. I hope that you will all have a happy and peaceful Christmas. Will be thinking about you all.

Mo, hope that all is well with you and Roly. Are you having to cook the Christmas dinner for you and some of your family this year?

I expect Lilly is getting really excited now and can't wait for Santa to arrive, bless her. I can imagine all the excitement on Christmas morning at their house.

We have had a busy time last week, we were in Yorkshire last Monday and then in Abergavenny on Friday, visiting and swapping Christmas presents with Alun;s family and then with my family.

Richard and Christie are coming on Christmas Eve until Boxing Day, has he is working the day after Boxing Day. Really looking forward to seeing them both.

Huia, are you still having problems with your internet? I haven't seen you on the treads very much at all.

Marie, hope that all is well with you and your family.

Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.<3 <3 <3

Love and Best Wishes.

Take Care.
