Hi girls,

Mo, sorry to hear that you are poorly, I hope that the antibiotics and spray off the doctor will soon clear it for you.

Hope that you will feel a lot better for Ava's Christening on Sunday.

Jean. thank you for your pretty card, I love the flowers on it.

We have been invited to Alun's nephew's wedding at the end of July, it is in North Berwick in Scotland. Alun's sister has a house there, so they decided that they would like to get married in the small village church there.

Sylvia, yes ' I hope that Alun will hear from the hospital soon too, so that whatever the problem is can hopefully get sorted.

Hope that you and OH are okay and that the snow has cleared where your daughter lives.

Ann, glad you received my card, I was worried that I hadn't posted them in time.

Eliizabeth, I haven't seen you on the boards for a while, hope that you and your family
are alright.

Huia and Marie hope that all is well with you and your families.

Will say bye for now, chat to you all soon.

Take care everyone.

Love, Sallie. xxx

Guess what, I have got myself a new coat, yippeeee.
Trust me to want one, when the seasons are changing, and the summer wear is coming into the shops.
How lucky am I, we went into M+S,as per usual Ann,...nothing. Second shop was Evans, and yes there it was, in the sale at £25.00, a real bargain. There was only one size 14 left, and I quickly snatched it of the rail, as some other ladies were looking at it as well.
Roly was well and truly gob smacked, he has NEVER in 51 years, known me to buy something so quickly, without having to trail trough every shop in town LOL.

Thank you for the lovely easter cards girls.

Tomorrow, we shall venture out to the supermarket, as I forgot to buy the hot cross buns, silly me. Have got fish, but forgot the buns, the usual good friday food in our house.

Been a good soul today, have rid the garden of so many weeds, that it thinks it's it birthday.
Still more needs doing, but that can wait till tomorrow, providing it's another nice day of course.

Bye for now my friends, take care, love and hugs, Mo xxx

Oh lord Ann, I didn't get to go and look for a coat today. I had to phone the doctors first thing this morning, very sore throat and tongue, not able to swallow properly.
I have got Oral thrush, goodness knows where that has come from, but I did have a dose of it last June.
Now I am on more anti-biotics, and an oral spray,,,oooh I am so fed up with myself, I just wish that if the weather changes for the better, so will all these blessed germs and things.
A very fed up Mo just popping in to say hello and bye for now. xxx

Mo good idea not to buy new for the christening? But a new coat will be nice?

Mo in Kent Report 31 Mar 2015 18:56

Sallie,I am sorry to hear that Alun needs to see a specialist. But he will be in the best hands possible, and they do miracles these days, as I found out following my brothers triple bypass.
Years ago, there was not the treatment and care that there is these days. I feel sure that if my dad, had been offered the treatment now, back in 1977, he would have had many more years of life.
Hopefully the anti-biotics will hep with Aluns cough, especially if he is coughing up mucus.
Normally if we have just a tickly cough, our GP wont give us anti b's, but if its productive he will.

Not going to bother to buy myself a new outfit Sallie, but will have a look for a coat tomorrow.
I shall wear the outfit I bought for new years eve, and dress it down instead of up.

It does seem strange it still being light at 7.00 p.m, and not having to put the table lamps on.
I will say bye for now girls, take care. Mo xxx

Huia Report 31 Mar 2015 07:12

Sallie, I had an annoying scratchy cough which doc and I decided was possibly caused by reflux from my hiatus hernia irritating the throat. She adjusted my medication and added another tablet (shake, rattle and roll). Now I rarely get the cough. Does Alun suffer from heartburn?

Sallie

Sallie Report 30 Mar 2015 23:39

Hello girls.

Mo, thanks for asking about Alun, the Echocardiogram showed that there is a moderate to severe leakage of the mitral valve, so the doctor is going to refer him to a Heart Specialist. There is about a two month waiting list for an appointment, so it's another waiting game, which is pretty usual all over the country,. for everyone these days.

Alun also told the doctor about the cough, that he still has, so as he has had it since
the end of December, so after asking several questions, the doctor gave him a prescription for antibiotics.

I bet you are looking forward to the Christening on Sunday, hope it all goes well and that it will be a dry, bright and sunny day.

I know you were going to look for something to wear for it.......hope you managed to find what you wanted.

Huia, lovely to hear from you. I don't go on Facebook, so hope that you will still
come on here when you are able to.

Ann, thank you for your Easter card, it arrived this morning. I'm posting mine tomorrow, hope everyone will get them. Really late making them this year.

Jean, Sylvia and Marie, hope that you are all okay.

Will chat to you again tomorrow.

Take care .

Sallie, I hope things went o.k for Alun at the doctors today.

Huia, I will try and take a look at your F.B page love.

A big hello to all, I hope you are well.

It's our little ones christening this Sunday. We have bought her a little cross and chain, the same as we did Lilly, her big sister.
Lets hope that she doesn't cry during the ceremony, as she is teething again, and is a bit grumpy at the moment.

Hugs to all, Mo xxx

Since I have trouble posting on here I have started a FB community page, Hunua Hills - In and Around. It covers a large area so I can include a lot of my dad's old photos. If you are on FB it is http://www.facebook.com/HunuaHills They are not all old photos, some are fairly recent, or will be.

Now to see if this will post.

Hi girls,

Just having a quick look in, hope that you are all enjoying a peaceful weekend.

Mo and Jean, thanks for your thoughts for Alun, he isn't too worried abut the results, as he says, worrying isn't going to change anything.....what will be, will be.

Stayed in this morning and got some housework done, then we went to the Range this afternoon and then called back in Morrisons. I was glad to get home, it was very noisy in the Range, with children screaming and running about.

Jean, I don't .blame you for not bothering to have the two biopsies done, if you are not having any symptoms and feel alright, I would think there is nothing too much to worry about.

I must go and make our dinner now, so speak to you later.

Love, Sallie. xxx <3 <3

I know how you feel Sallie, but trust in the Lord, for me its the only way I can come to terms with what is going on, one thing I have decided to do is cancell the oral biopsy its just the same as before and at my age I refuse to live my life spending what few years I may have left going to and fro to clinics, when I get the other date for the other biopsy I shall cancel that too so there :-P :-P :-P :-P time I started to live a little so stuff it all.... :-D :-D :-D :-D we have a choice and I have made mine...

Glad you liked the cards but my hand shook when I took two ,so please excuse them....
definitley a senior moment....I now have a tote bag with pockets all round it and several inside, now all the stuff I use to glue ,cut , sccissors craft knives etc;, and stick stuff to my cards are close at hand ,should have got one ages ago , it would have saved me getting up to get something I needed, also I am in the middle of putting a unit together the will hold some of my liquid pealrs and glitter glues, all neat and tidy.... ;-) ;-) ;-) I have just made two mans cards for a 70 year old for a friend... Its quite hard to come up with ideas for mens cards. so I will have a look around to see if I can find anything.

Holding you and Alun close in my heart and prayers for a good outcome.. <3 <3 <3

love and hugs to everyone Love Jean xxx <3 <3 <3

Hi Mo, I'm sure you are right, the doctor would have wanted to see him straight away if it was really bad. I keep telling myself that, but now and again the negative thoughts keep coming back. Part of my problem is that I find it difficult to look on the positive side of things just in case it all goes pear shaped. LOL! I have been like that since my father died in 1981

Did you enjoy your night out at darts last night? Hope that your hand is a bit better than it's been lately.

Jean, got your pics last night, your cards are lovely as usual, Thanks for sending them to me.

Hope D is feeling less tired today, so that you and J have been able to hear all about her holiday.

Have a nice weekend everyone and take care of yourselves.

Love, Salie. xxx
