Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 8 May 2015 16:55

Hello my darlins, how are we all today.
Things seem to be o.k here at the moment, (fingers crossed)
Our eldest daughter actually came to visit us yesterday, wonderful. But why does it take a dire emergency, to cease our differences, but I just thank god it has.

Jean, what wonderful news about your eyes, a six months not having to worry is great.
Enjoy your time with young Charlie, the little ones are such a blessing arn't they.
They can help cheer up a dreary day, and leave us feeling blessed with joy and laughter.
Like you, we had a postal vote for the election, plus a ballot paper for the local councillors. All done and dusted in plenty of time.

Ann, our little monkey Lilly, climbs on the baby's cot to get to the window, and can unlock it.
Unlike ours, we have a key to lock the windows, our sons house is a rented property, with no window locks, as such.
Little minxy, has tried to put the poor cat down the toilet before now, thinking he needed a wee, just because she had just been herself.
Personally, I think they shouldn't have the poor animal, as it's not fair on him, but Lilly loves him, more than her dolls, and would be really upset if he went.
I know I shouldn't laugh at her antics, but I can't help myself sometimes.

Our grandaughter, who is due a baby in November, was rushed into hospital the day before yesterday.
She had a really bad tummy bug, and could not hold onto any solids or water.
She was put on a drip over night, but fortunately she is now home, and back to normal.
Life seems to revolve around hospital visits at the moment.

Well girls, another week over, a week nearer to christmas LOL
Enjoy your weekend everyone, love and hugs to one and all, Mo xxx

Mo that is worrying about Lillie. They will have to make sure they keep the door locked, can they not lock the window as well? Our windows lock. She is a worry for them isn't she?
Good news about Roly, hope his BP stays down now.

Jean, that was good, not having to wait so long, and nothing until the next check up, good. and seeing Charlie on Saturday will be great for you.

Mo in Kent Report 6 May 2015 15:28

Hello girls,
I am pleased to say, that Roly's B.P is now down to a reasonable level. 126 yesterday, and 131 over 64 today, I just hope and pray it stays that way.

You will never believe what I am about to tell you. Our daughter in law txt me, she had a strange workman knock on her door, to tell her that a little girl was at the upstairs window, trying to throw a cat out. Oh boy, our Lilly, what a nightmare she can be.
Apparantly, when she goes up to the toilet, she wanders into her parents bedroom, and opens the window, so now it has been decided that they are going to have to put a lock on the bedroom door, to prevent her fron going in.
As I said, it will have to be up high, or she is liable to lock them in the room.
Good lord, I just dread to think what she will get up to next, will she try and throw the baby out, or even herself, perish the thought.

I do hope you are all keeping well girls.
I will say bye for now, speak to you soon. Hugs Mo xxx

Sallie, good to se you, glad you are OK.

Good evening girls,
Well Roly slept for eleven hours last night, and myself slept four a good eight.
We both certainly needed it. I slept with the bedroom door wide open, just in case he needed me, but bless him, he was soundo, till six thirty, when a bathroom visit was needed by himself, and then back to bed he went, and crashed out again.
When we did his B.P this lunch time, it was down to 146/67, much better than yesterday, but not low enough yet.
Roly is much brighter in himself, but he has to be very careful when eating, as he tends to bite his lip when has something to eat.
Slowly but surely, god willing he will improve daily.
Thank you all for your kind words, and support it's much appreciated.
Hopefully I will speak to you all tomorrow, love and hugs, Mo xxx

I am so pleased that it was not a stroke, but high blood pressure is a major problem!. I do hope this means that they will be keeping a very close eye on Roly.

Mo so pleased it was not a stroke but that wait was utterly appalling. One of the things with strokes is to have immefiate treatment surely. Hope the new mefication works. <3

JustJean Report 3 May 2015 20:10

Mo, I am glad it wasnt a stroke, but they will keep an eye on the pressure now, I hope the extra tabs work and Roly will feel much better, you must be utterly shattered , its scandalous such a long wait, what is happening to the NHS so many tales about long waiting times...so our prayers and thoughts are for a better result for Roly and try and rest , no more painting, just relax and feet up time... love and hugs to you both...

Mo in Kent Report 3 May 2015 16:37

Hello girls.
Many thanks Ann, for letting the others know about Roly.
The specialist has said it was not a stroke, but Dysarthria, caused by his very high blood pressure.
He was up to over 190 when the ambulance turned up, and just before they discharged him at lunch time, it had gone down to 144, still high, but not enough for them to keep him in.
They have given him another B.P tablet to take as well as the two he has to take daily, and god willing, we are hoping it will be down even further by tomorrow.
Oh my lord talk about scary, he had the obvious symptoms of a stroke, slurred speech, his face had dropped, and he was dribbling from the side that had dropped.
The ambulance got here within five minutes of my call, but A+E was absolutely chaotic. Six hours after our arrival, Roly was put into the Acute Medicine Unit.
He didn't see a doctor till 3.00 a.m, and saw the specialist this morning at about 9.00 a.m, totally rediculous.
Myself and one of our daughters, asked to be told the true account of what was wrong with him, but all tests ie, scans and bloods showed up negative for a stroke.
At the moment, we are both completely shattered, as neither of us have had any sleep.
So I will say bye for now, I send you all my love and best wishes. Mo xxx

At least you got some help from the garden centre Jean, saved plodding on trying to find out what was wrong. Not sure about car fumes unless it is particularly sensitive to them. However it has been a very strange winter and as I said on the garden thread, we lost a couple of plants (at least I think it was the garden thread), lost a bamboo, just dried out when we were away and a hydrangea that T transplanted from a pot. and a trailing Rosemary bush thatw as about 15 years old. Just bought a replacement Rosemary today, have to have that in my garden.

So swish new specs then? What colour did you choose? Hope the cramp is better tonight. I think I read drinking water before bed helps. (Probably because you have to get up and walk to the loo Lol!!)

JustJean Report 28 Apr 2015 16:10

Just had my eyes tested and the left one is much worse, so I have new glasses ordered...dont know what will happen at the clinic next week....

I had a bad night last night with cramps, firt lot in my fingers and then in my leg, usually the Diazepam works perfectly well, but not last night :-| :-| :-|
double dose tonight methinks.....
Its all going downhill fast .......

my entire "Daff" bush has gone brown, the garden centre chappie reckons it was in the wrong place and the fumes from the cars plus the frost and winds finally proved too much..... woe is me......
other than that everything is tickety boo

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

hope you are all o.k. take care , love Jean <3 <3

Hi Mo, and everyone

I have eye tests every year, and usually change my frames when I need a new prescription, which is about every other year.

Like Ann, I treat my glasses as part of my outfit .............. and want a change after 2 years of looking at my face with the same frames :-)

Jean ............. Ann is quite right. You have not had to ** names of stores, companies, etc for years. They finally came to their senses about it about 2005 or 2006.

they don't even mind you naming ancestry, FMP etc ........ unless you are comparing GR unfavourably with them. That's a no-no :-)

It has been cold here for the last 3 days. I had to get warmer sweaters out once again! We've also had some heavy rains ............. the garden is looking very green!!
