Sallie Report 23 Jun 2015 21:25

Hello girls,

Received a phone call from my brother just after lunch time, letting me know that one of our cousins died earlier this morning. She had been in and out of hospital over a few months, as she was suffering from emphysema and cancer. It is a blessing, no more suffering for her now. She lived in the next street to us and although she was seven years older than me, we got on well, she use to give me some of her makeup and liked to
make my face up and do my hair for me too.

Mo, Roly goes into hospital the day after my birthday, I will be thinking about him and hope that the operation will be a success.

I feel sorry for your granddaughter, having to move again because of her ex making life difficult for her. I wonder how he manages to keep finding out where she lives.

Jean, hope you all enjoyed your meal this evening. Where do you buy the chicken sausages from? I didn't realise that you could get them, I will have to see if any shops sell them here. Jennie, Michael and myself might like them, but Alun doesn't like chicken very much at all nor anything made with it.

Jean and Mo, I didn't want to bore you, telling you the news about my meeting with Tom yesterday, but I wanted to keep you updated. Thank you both for your lovely replies.

Hello to Ann, Sylvia, Huia and Marie, hope you are all okay.

Take care everyone.

Love, Sallie. xxx <3

Hello dear friends,
Ann, I am sorry, but I didn't realise that you were going on your cruise. A cruise is something I have always wanted to do, but it doesn't look like we will ever get the chance now, unless we get very lucky and win the lottery.
At least you have had the experience of it now, even though you would not want to go again.
You and T probably took advantage of the over 21 sundeck, and I don't blame you, a holiday is for relaxing, not having to listen to young ones screaming their heads off with excitement.

Jean, Roly goes in for his operation on the 10th of July. He has to go for his pre op assessment on the 29th of this month, when they need to made aware that they have increased his B.P medications.
We spoke to Lilly on the phone last night, and she told us she was being a good girl...mummy was in the background saying oh no you haven't, so who knows,I have got to the point of being afraid to ask. lol
Ummm you naughty girl, finishing all those chocs up, and not sending us some down the cyber hatch.

Sallie, we are very proud of your advancement in your therapy. Good on you my love, keep up the good work, but know that we are here for you, should you need someone to talk to, as well as Tom.

Well, our grandaughter is on the move again. Her ex has found out where she is living, and is making her life hell.
Roly had to go and wire her new cooker in today. Every time she moves, she has to buy herself a new cooker, I have no idea why as there is never anything wrong with the older one. (I haven't looked, but perhaps she hasn't cleaned it LOL) It's becoming as expensive hobby.

Well me dears, I will say bye for now, take care, hugs Mo xxx

Hello girls,

Ann, I missed your posts lasy week and wondered where you were. I knew you and T were going an a cruise, but thought that it was later on in the year .Anyway, it's nice to see you home and that you had a reasonably good holiday.

Mo, hope all is well with you, Roly and your family.Thinking about Lilly and hoping that she is okay and that she will get an appointment for an assessment, through very soon.

Jean, hope all is well with you, J and D. Have you made anymore cards today?

Sylvia, hope that you and OH are both okay. Also hope that OH's face has healed by now.

I had an appointment with Tom (therapist) this morning, he was so pleased to hear about all that's happened since over the last few weeks or so. and how much better I am. I have been discharged, but I have a review with him in eight weeks time, and if I am still okay, then I will have another review with him three months after that. Not sure how long that will go on for, but if at anytime between each review I have a relapse,I can ring him and he will see me within a few days.
It's a new thing that they have brought in just recently for the people they see, that
suffer with relapses of severe depression over many years.

I think it is time for a nice cup of tea now, so will chat to you all later.

Take care everyone.

Hello, we are home, wonder if you missed me?

I am jet lagged, just got in from a flight from Miami so not sure which way is up. We have been on a 6 day cruise round the Western caribbean, we called at three Islands, although we opted to stay on the ship and enjoy the peace while the majority of the 4000 is passengers went ashore. We visited, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel (a small Island off the coast of Mexico) The weather was good, 83 to 90 degrees all week day and night.
I didn't particularly want to go on the cruise which was won by our son and given to us. It was an experience and I am glad we went. But I am not sure I would repeat the experience. It was a big ship and so very clean everywhere, all day every day they were cleaning, the food was ok not fantastice but good. I am pretty certain we were the only British on board, most of the passengers were American or Mexican. And, although we thought we had found out when American school holidays were, there were a lot of children on board, from tiny to teenagers. Luckily there was one sunbathing deck only open to over 21s. :-) :-)

Mo, I hope that somebody can find out what the problem is with Lily soon for all the family's sakes. <3 <3

Oh Mo, I hope and pray that Lilly will get help very soon. As you said, some of it might be naughtiness, but I think that Lilly really has got a problem, bless her. I'm just wondering would it be worth your daughter-in-law getting in touch with the health visitor to let her know about ' Lilly's latest escapade '. She needs to tell her how worried they are about Lilly and that they feel as though they are coming to the end of their tether.

Although she probably has done all that before, but maybe the more she lets them know the situation, the more chance there is of seeing someone sooner.

Thinking of you all, and sending my love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx<3

I do hope the assessment will be done soon.

Mo in Kent Report 17 Jun 2015 18:15

Oh girls, I don't believe it, Lilly has had another escapade.
Somehow she got hold of the Shake and Vac, and covered the floor with it, and put the rest in the washing machine.
She asked Ava to watch her, and then swung on the bedroon curtains, and pulled them, and the curtain pole down.
She went into the bathroom, and put a new, and whole toilet roll down the pan.
Then went into the bedroom, and wet all over the carpet, on purpose
Whilst I know that some of it could be just naughtiness, but all of this happening within a very short time, in one morning, must be so frustrating for her Mum and Dad.
Fortunately, our son was at home, and was able to control her after a while, but should our daughter in law have been on her own, I should have imagined her pulling her hair out.

Thank you for letting me get my frustrations out on here, I just wish to god there was something I could do for her, before she does herself or our Ava some damage.

Bye for now my friends, hugs Mo xxx

Mo in Kent Report 16 Jun 2015 18:20

Oh thank you Sallie, I will give both of them special hugs when I see them tomorrow, and say it comes from you dear friend.
Lilly is supposed to have her swimming lesson in the morning, but our son has to have his cat scan done first thing, if he is not out in time for our daughter in law to go to work, we are looking after the little ones. But we will still go over and see them later if we are not needed very early.
I would love to be able to go and watch her, but rules and regulations wont allow me to.
I remember when we were on holiday, we tried to take a photograph of Lilly in the pool, but from nowhere appeared a security guard, and told us no photography in the pool area. They dont allow it now because of the nasty paedophiles (sp) We only wanted a family photo for the album, but they were not to know that, and protection of the children is most important.

Well girls, I hope you are all receiving the suns rays wherever you live. It has been a really glorious day yet again today, long may it last.
Take care everyone, hugs to you all. Mo xxx

Sallie Report 15 Jun 2015 22:49

Oh Mo, I also hope and pray that whatever the problem Lilly has, that they will soon make a diagnosis and will be able to help her, love her. As you said, she is a handful for her mum and dad, and also a worry for you all.

Yes, no matter how difficult and hard work our children and grandchildren can be at times, we can't help loving them to bits. I know I would feel exactly the same way as you do. Our love for our children is unconditional isn' it , Mo?

It was good that the health visitor came to the house for Ava's twelve month check up and was able to watch Lilly's behaviour and then chase up an appointment for her.

Will be thinking about you all and especially about Lilly, love her. I feel sure that whatever she does, it isn't that she is just being naughty, it is something she can't help doing.

Speak to you soon.

Take care.

Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 15 Jun 2015 18:32

Sallie, Lilly has got to have a behavioural assessment done. The health visitor came for Ava's 12 month check up, and noticed how Lilly was behaving, and asked had she been assessed yet, following the doctor and nursery's reports, when she was told that no nothing had progressed, she told them that she would chase it up.
Well last week, a lady turned up and stayed a while, studying her behaviour, and is reffering her to what they call a texture specialist....don't ask me why as I have no idea. But she recognised that there is a problem, but did not say what she thought it was.
So now they are waiting for a further appointment.
Bless her, she is a handful for her parents, but I love her to bits.
I shouldn't have laughed when I was told of her mischief, ie, hanging out of the bedroom window, dangling the cat out. Putting the cat in the washing machine and fridge, putting the cat into the guinea pig cage, with one of the pigs, whilst she let the other one run around the kitchen floor.
She bangs her head on the wall and floor, and doesn't feel a thing.
I just hope and pray they can find a solution for her.

I hope everyone is well, take care all, love Mo xxx

Mo, you and Roly are doing well with getting the decorating done. If you are looking for any more decorating to do once you have finished the kitchen, there is plenty to do here.LOL!!!

As with Alun, it will be lovely when Roly's operation will be over and done with..

How is Lily getting on lately, hope that she is a lot calmer than she has been. Also hope that Ava is coming along okay....not sure how old she is now.

Jean, like Mo you are a busy, busy bee too, only making lots of Christmas cards instead. You and Mo put me to shame. LOL!!

Had a few things going on here over the last couple weeks, although it was nothing to worry about, I haven't been able to settle to make many cards.

Sylvia, hope that OH's face is better than it was a few days ago and that he has been able to a follow up appointment with the Dermatologist.
.

I hope that all our other friends on here are okay

Love to you all. Sallie.xxx. <3

Mo in Kent Report 13 Jun 2015 19:17

Hooray, the decorating is finished, next comes the kitchen, maybe sometime this coming week....thats a big maybe. lol
Sallie, Roly is having a knee replacement done on his right leg, and injections and filling done on his left leg.
So he is going to be in private hospital for four days, with his own room and all the fascilities he could wish for.
We didn't want to chance him going into the local hospital ( the Medway ), as it's had very bad results and has been on T.V quite often over it's poor results.
Poor Roly will be on crutches for about six weeks, or so they say.

Well it's time for me to relax, and recover from all this decorating.
Have a good weekend all. Love Mo xxx

Sallie

Sallie Report 12 Jun 2015 22:02

Mo, you are a busy, busy bee. Both our bedroom and lounge need decorating, but don't know when it will get done. lol!!

I'm sorry I didn't realise that Roly has to have an operation next month, I hope that it isn't for anything too serious. I hope that it all goes well for him and that he will make a good and quick recovery.

Hope that your wrist and thumb are feeling better, so that you can carry on with the decorating......it will be nice when it is done out of the way.

Sylvia, like you, I would have thought that the new dermatologist would have given your OH a follow-up appointment so that he can check how OH has responded to the cream. Let's hope that it has done what it is suppose to do, and that OH will be fine.

Jean, where are you? I hope that you are all okay there. Have you managed to get your hair done yet? Hope so, so that you can go out for your Chinese meal.

Ann, yes I know that there are lots of hotels near Cardiff Castle, but because there were two bands, the Manics and One Direction playing in Cardiff on Friday night, all the hotels they tried were fully booked. Never mind at least they managed to stay the night before and see the concert on Friday, although they didn't get home until 3.30 a.m., they were both shattered.

We went to Derby this morning, needed to get my hair done there. We didn't think to be there very long, but ended up having lunch there. Still, I enjoyed the few hours there, as we haven't been there for a good few weeks.

Hope you all have a good weekend, whatever you have planned.

Take care.

Will ' speak' to you all soon.

Love, Sallie. xxx
