Hello from Hampshire, Nice to see the family again, eldest Grandson has just called round with his fiancee, youngest is here with his girlfriend,

Jean glad you had a good holiday although a nuisance about the vertigo. Hope the new medication helps with it. I will pm you the addy for the blog. You will not be able to add photos yourself, or comments, I am stillworking on that. If you e mail me the photos I will add them for you when I get home on Sunday.

Hello to everyone else.

Hi Jean, pleased you had good journey home, nothing worse than travelling on the motorway in the pouring rain, it terrifies me. It's a shame that you suffered from vertigo, which spoiled what would have otherwise been a lovely week. So, you'll have to save your all your money now, so that you can buy lots of stash in October. Hope that J and D are both alright.

Alun and I went to Derby early this morning, we were there by ten to nine, so it was nice and quiet to start with, much easier to get what we wanted.

I'm going to try and get some cards done this afternoon, while Alun goes to help the other members of the model railway club to prepare for their show tomorrow. So with him being out all day tomorrow, I hope I can settle down to making cards.

Speak to you all soon.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Hello ladies.

I was not a regular in the charity shop. I was on the list of relievers for stepping in if somebody else couldnt do their usual shift. I havent been called on for ages, so now I have a regular shift myself. I hope I can cope with once a week. It is hard work being on your feet for 4 hours. It is not quite so bad if I can walk around, but I find just standing is very tiring.

Hi Ladies,

Mo, hope you'll have nice meal out tonight and that you'll all enjoy yourselves, especially your granddaughter. Please wish her a very Happy 16th Birthday, from me.

I bet you felt very proud taking Lily out in her buggy the other day. And I'm sure that all the people you worked with made a big fuss of her, no wonder you couldn't get away. Sending her lots of hugs and kisses.xxxxx

You also did well with your Christmas present buying, you certainly got a bargain getting nine pressies for under twenty pounds....I think I'll have to go to Kent to do my Christmas shopping.LOL!!

Caz, lovely to see you posting and pleased to know that you are able to make a couple of cards, albeit slowly.....but you know the saying " slowly but surely ".
I have a bit of a block on at the moment, I have four mens birthday cards to make and haven't got a clue what to do for them.
Thanks for letting us know about Jean. That vertigo has to follow her everywhere.LOL! As you said, at least she's had a few better days since having the tablets off the doctor.

Joyce, you know you can come on here and have a moan or even scream your head off, we're all here for you. Although I agree with both Caz and Mo
that you have to stop worrying too much about others and that both you and Jan need a good holiday together away from all the stress and worry.

I hope that both you and Jan will be able to see the doctor on Monday, if not, as soon as possible after.

I also think that it would be a good idea to go back to the lady that you were seeing before your daughter died. I'm sure that she would be able to help you a lot. But Joyce tell her everything, even if it's something that you think isn't important......she needs to know even the small things, to be able to help you. You'll probably wonder when she asks you about a certain thing, what it's got to do with your situation as it is now. But when you are at home on your own, it will suddenly hit you why she asked what she did.
Then comes the most difficult part, coming to terms about what maybe
causing the problems and coming to terms with it and doimg something about it. Joyce I know you can do it, because if I can and have , you cetainly can.
All the worry and stress isn't helping with the cramp that you are suffering so badly from. Take care.

Ann, I hope you and T will have a good couple of days away.

Liz, it's nice to hear from you. We are all here for you when you want to talk.
It's awful that you still haven't seen the baby, surely OH could have taken you to visit them, by now.

It's such a shame that your son is unhappy in his job, I hope that he will be able to get another one very soon. Not only will he be happier, but it would put your mind at rest too.

Sylvia, pleased that the colon test you had was negative, that's such a relief to know.
I thought that MJ must be coming up to his first birthday, as you say the time just goes so quickly.
He must be almost walking by now, if not already. Bless him.
Sending him lots of hugs and kisses.xxxxxx

Huia, like Mo I thought that you were still working in the Charity shop. It will be nice to go back there, to have company of the people you work with and of course, the customers.

Lovely to hear that Phil was talking to you, and could remember about the greyhounds. That little red fluffy dog did some good, by you taking it for Phil. I wonder if sometimes you took something in, that it would spark a bit of his memory. It would be lovely for you, if it did. Take care.

Marie, I know you are probably still busy in the garden, but just wanted you to know that I'm thinking about you and your family. Happy gardening. Take care.

Well I'm going to cook our dinner now, so speak to you all soon.

Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Hello my lovely friends.
Liz, you know you are always welcome to come here, and scream your head of, about him indoors, any time you want to.
We are here to help and give you support in any way that we can.
It's good to hear you are still seeing the councellor, she obviously is helping you.
I don't blame you for not wanting to go with Mr Misery to his son's place. You know that not only will you have to put up with his snorting all night, but that you would be left out in the cold by the lot of them.
It is such a shame you have not been able to see the baby yet though.
Will your son sit his driving test again soon, so that he doesn't lose the skill. It's probably nerves that are his major downfall, as we all know what pressure you are inder whilst taking the test.

Huia, for some unknown reason, I was under the impression you were still working at the hospice shop.
How nice that Phil was more conversant at your last visit, and that he had some memory of working with the greyhounds.

Joyce you are a narna, you can yell and moan as much as you like on here.
Thats what friends are for, to listen, and help as much as is possible, even though you may be miles away from us, you are close to our hearts.
Both Caz and Jean know you better than any one of us,and Caz would strangle you, if you didn't tell her what was on your mind.
If you have to, scream and shout at your doctor, to get some kind of help with your problems.
You and Jan, just can't keep suffering as you do, as Caz has already said, you both need a good holiday, away from all the cares and woes, just the two of you, enjoying each others company.

Caz, thank you for the news on Jean. I just knew that something would crop up, and put a damper on their holiday. It seems to happen every time they manage to go away.
But at least she can enjoy the last days of her holiday now.
Take it easy doing your cards, and get as much rest as you can.

Bye for now girls, i'll be back before I go out for my grandaughters birthday meal tonight.

I forgot to say I had a letter from Jean, she is having a nice holiday and the weather is warm with not much rain at all. She says she took something on holiday she didn't want, lol, her vertigo, it is worse at night for some reason and the room goes round, must be awful. She ended up going to see a doctor who gave her some tablets so she is feeling better now it's nearly time to come home.

Huia how lovely that Phil was awake and talking and also took an interest in the fluffy dog. Joyce why did you think I wouldn't see your problems on here, it's no good saying you haven't told me because I know all about it. You tell me when we talk on the phone, and I know you better than you know yourself seemingly, we will talk about it tomorrow when I ring. Did the man come with the post and did he put it up or does Jan have to do it. I hope Jan gets over his flu soon, he sounds run down in fact you both could do with a good holiday but I know that's out of the question.
Good to see you back on here Liz, wish I could get you away from there so you could get back on your feet.
Got two cards to make and it takes me ages with my hands as they are so better go and start them.
Hello to everyone else I haven't mentioned.

Liz, it is so lovely to see you posting on here. I hope you can get to grips with your problems soon. I do so wish I had that magic wand. But oi aint no fairy! More like a heffalump.

I went to town today, called in at the hospice shop and have now signed up to work there every Mon afternoon (except next Mon. when I have an appointment). I saw a beautiful red fluffy dog with one yellow ear and a yellow patch on one eye and on his tail. I bought it and took it when I went to visit Phil. He had just finished lunch and he seemed to like it. He was actually talking to me. I asked him what sort of dog it was. I said it wasnt the right shape to be a red setter, but he seemed to think it might be. I mentioned the greyhounds he used to work with at Wembley and he seemed to remember that. I left when he fell asleep, but it was good to have a bit of reaction from him, even if it was for only half an hour at most.

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 25 Feb 2011 03:18

Hi all, so sorry I haven't been posting, haven't felt very cheerful at all and just can't seem to find enthusiasm for much! I have just read through lots of pages to see what's been happening to you all. I have been thinking about you.
Glad you are in a different part of NZ Huia, I did double check in my atlas to be sure you wouldn't be affected. How sad for all those affected by the earthquake. Also been sad for all the people in Egypt and Libya etc. We don't realise how lucky we are really altho I am very fed up with all the cuts DC has been making, soon it won't be safe to go out with fewer police around and other things cut right back.

O.h. has been on nights this week which feels odd, and I hate him being in bed when I am lol I try to get to bed and to sleep before he comes in so I don't hear him snoring. Next week he is back to late shift and then he has a week off, not from choice but because his company have changed the rules on holidays and making people take a week off in spring. I am not a happy bunny with the thought of him being around all week but he is going to stay with his son for the Sat and Sunday at the end of the week off. The son has a new job which he starts soon, so he won't have to travel so far every day. He would come out smelling of roses if he fell in a muck heap, that one! He only started looking for a change about two months ago. My poor lad can't find a new job cos most jobs want him to be able to drive and he failed his test again before Christmas. I spent some time with him last evening and he is so depressed and hard up, he hates the job he has at the mo.
I still haven't seen the baby, I asked about us going over for an afternoon but o.h. put obstacles in the way, and I don't want to go and stay overnight as I wouldn't get any sleep if I had to go to bed the same time as o.h. as he snores so much I can't nod off. I prefer to have a short weekend on my own here!
Apparently baby is now weighing just over a stone, and she is 17 weeks old, she is going to be a big girl I think. Lots of her aunts and her grandmother on her Mummy's side are big built altho her Mummy is slim.

My counselling is going ok, she is really good and caring and I am getting to the bottom of lots of things from my childhood which is where I think a lot of my problems come from.

My son has a neighbour who hoards and the housing assoc. who own her flat got worried about her and all the stuff there so have started sending someone round once a week to help her clear things out. My son says as soon as they go, she goes downstairs and brings lots of things back in. This hoarding ocd is such a difficult problem to crack.

Anyway my lovely friends, do take care and know I am thinking about you. I hope our Jean has had a good week's holiday.

love and hugs

Lizxxx

Good evening all.
Ann, we also have had a lovely sunny day. Infact I was able to put the washing out on the line, and I got it dried. Now thats thats a first for me this year.
Have a lovely time when you are away. Are you going to family.?
It's not long now till your holiday is it.

I managed to pull some weeds up from the back garden today as well.
Blessed chickweed is real nuisance in our garden, as soon as I get rid of it, it comes back.

Tomorrow, we are starting painting the lounge and dining room. A little bit of sun,and everything begins to look dirty.
We bought our paint yesterday at B+Q's,as it was pensioners day, and we got our discount, a saving of £6.00. It doesn't sound a lot, but every penny counts, doesn't it.

It's good news that the colon cancer test was negative Sylvia.
You have an arctic front coming in, and we have had a really glorious day today. But we wont hold our breath, as it's bound to change back to wet or cold weather, in a the blink of an eye.

Tomorrow night, we are out for a meal, for our grandaughters 16th birthday
It's going to be a bit spooky, we are going to be thirteen for dinner, wasn't that the name of a film.

Well the sun has shone here all day today, it has been a beautiful spring day. We walked round for the papers and for a coffee in the garden centre, which is sadly to close in April and a new Tesco will eventually be built there.
T then spent an hour or so cleaning the cars inside and out (that's his spring cleaning, while I dusted through indoors. He then spent another hour out in the garden cutting back and weeding.
We will be away for a couple of days but I will have my lap top with me.

Caz, I'm sorry that they couldn't tell you anything today. It's so maddening that the nurse gave you your last blood test too soon. You'd think she would have known that it was too early to give you a blood test, she couldn't have read your notes correctly.

Oh Huia, I wish I could have spoken to you before now, I feel such a fool.
Stanmore Bay does look lovely, and I am envious of my friends. They moved out there about two years ago, to join their son and D.I.L.
My friends husband likes his game of golf, and I believe he plays somewhere local to them. You would probably know where it is.
Have you had any more of your little visitors. I do hope not love.
