Huia Report 16 Mar 2011 06:12

I went to the Super Clinic today to see a dermatology specialist as I have been itchy for a long time. She decided it was scabies. I dont know if I knocked it out last time I had it and caught it again, or if I failed to kick it into touch last time. But at least I might knock it out this time, and I will have to stop holding Phil's hand when I visit him.

When I picked up my prescription I went down to my daughter's place and got her to apply it to my back. She did the upper part. I did the rest of my body (all except face and scalp) when I got home. I rang a neighbour to see if she would be available in a week to do my back again, but she is going to be away, so I rang the nurse at my doc's rooms and she says she will do it. If only I had gone back to my doc much earlier last year, although it was about 14 weeks from the time she referred me to the super clinic until they finally saw me. In the meantime I have scratched myself just about raw and am covered in spots and scabs. Not a purty sight.

Huia.

Hi all
xxx

Hope all goes well for Jean, and for Caz

Things have been gloomy here ................. rain, grey, wind, etc etc.

I was at physio today, and told him that I'd been using rather a lot of my Tylenol+codeine. So he checked out my spine ......... said he couldn't find anything to suggest that I might have hurt it, but "deterioration does continue to happen, you know". So he's suggested it might be time for me to go back to the doc and ask for a review of my medication, with the intent of getting stronger painkillers.

bummer!

Mo in Kent Report 15 Mar 2011 18:12

Thanks Caz, we won last night mate, 4-2 and 2-1, next week will be a bad one for us, it's against Trophy Hunting team, who are very strong. Who wants another piece of plastic, not me thanks, I've got enough as it is. In fact I threw a load away not so long ago.
But I am not that good a player any longer, as we all know, arthritus does a lot of bad to our joints, and the arm is not was it was. lol

What a flaming nuisance them changing your appointments like that.
The hospital appointment, is that for the results of your treatment. If it is, I will be thinking of you love, with my fingers crossed.
I do hope Joyce is o.k, only not hearing from her since Saturday, is a long time in Joyce's world.
I just hope that her family have been in contact with her, to keep her updated on what occuring at home in Liverpool, as long as they give her good news, and not bad ,so that she starts to worry about them, bless her.

Cooee Ann, up there in the Lake District.
I hope you are both enjoying yourselves, even though the weather may not be the best.
If it's any consolation, most of the country has been having the same weather as you today.
Just be happy you didn't decide to go up to Scotland, as they have got snow again.
It sounds like you will be extra busy when you get home, buying all the crafting bits up there.

I wonder if Sallie will be popping in to see us. I am sure she said they were going to Richards for a few days.

Bye for now girls. Love Mo xxx

Just a quick one from the Lake District. Jean, good luck with your appointment tomorrow, hope they can help you. Spent £70 in Papaer Warehouse today, so lots of goodies to play with.
Caz, what a nuisance having all those appointments changed. Hope Joyce is OK.

It has been mist, drizzle and rain today but right now there is a brilliant sunset, the only time we have seen the sun all day.

Hi girls, I might be too late but good luck for tonight Mo, go get em girl. I'm a bit cheesed off just now, we had a dentist appointment this morning, they rang me at 8-30 to say the dentist is off with a tummy bug so can we go on Friday morning. That's ok, then I have a hospital appointment tomorrow for 10 oclock they rung at 4-30 to say can go at 12 oclock, what is it with all these time changes, OH is off this week and we have things planned, rant over. I haven't heard from Joyce since Saturday which is unusual, I hope she is all right, she will be ringing tomorrow teatime. Will be thinking of Jean tomorrow and hope the consultant can help her, it's not nice this vertigo.

Have a lovely time at Richard's Sallie.
Have you been having problems with your old provider then, to make you change.
I will await your new E.Mail addy.

Sylvia, it's not long now till our clocks change as well, we go forward one hour, so there will be 8 hours difference again, well I think thats right.

I am really creamed crackered, we have been at our daughters house today, painting the hall and stairs.
Why oh why, has she gone from a dark green, to a cream colour, it has taken us three coats to cover the darn dark paint.
Only one more floor to do, thats where they had the loft conversion done.

I am just happy that ours is now done and out of the way. The whole ground floor is looking lovely, I am really pleased with it.

I must go now, I have got to get ready for darts. Wish me luck girls.

I hope everyone is o.k. Love to you all. Mo xxx

Hi Girls,

Sorry I haven't been on for a few days, we've been out quite a bit and and of course I've been very busy making birthday cards.

We are going to Richard's this evening, as it's his 29th birthday tomorrow, so we are going to treat him and Christie to a day out----but I don't know where he's decided to go yet.

I hope everyone is alright and I hope the doctors at the hospital will be able to find out what is causing Jean's vertigo. Good luck Jean, I'll be thinking about you on Wednesday.

I hope that I'll be able to speak to you all in the week. if not I'll be in touch next weekend.

Take care everyone, speak to you all soon.

Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Sylvia, I do hope your OH is feeling a little better now.
How awful that the celebration's were spoilt by the sad news.
Sometimes I think that smaller babies, have more fight and determination, than bigger babies. And thank the lord that your old boss, was blessed with the strength, to live to quite a good age, considering his
struggle in early life.

I dont know about you girls, but I am having trouble, trying to come to terms with Japans problems.
It would appear that three of the nuclear power stations, are now showing problems.
How on earth is the country going to cope.
May god give them all the strength, to get through this time.

Well girls, all our decorating is now finished. We have done the lounge, dining room, and kitchen.
We thought we would be able to get some rest, but no, tomorrow we are starting our daughters hall, stairs and landings.
They had a loft conversion done a couple of years ago, so we have an extra floor to paint.
I suppose that will teach us to be so generous with our time.

Take care of yourselves, speak to you all again soon.
Love Mo xxx

Hi all
xxx

went to the Celebration of Life for the husband of a woman G that I used to work with from about 1983 to 1991.

He was 83 .............. and had had a very full life, especially for someone whose mother was told he wouldn't survive more than a few days!!

He weighed just over 2 lbs, and his twin died very soon after birth ............ but a combination of a determined grandmother and mother kept J alive!

Just before going to this, we got a phone call to tell us that one of my ex-bosses (and of G) had died on Thursday. HIS funeral will be next Friday.

Ex-boss's wife was at the Celebration this afternoon, and I had a long chat with her. B's death was not that unexpected ................. he was 3 months younger than me, but had lung problems and congestive heart failure.

OH ate something that disagreed with him for lunch ...... possibly some of the Cinnamon Honey that we found at the back of the kitchen cupboard last week. Age undetermined!

We had to leave the after-Celebration-of-Life tea early ........ he's been sick, and is now curled up in bed.

Yes Mo Jean is very bad with it and it is frightening her now, it must be awful for her, I'm hoping the consultant can do something on Wednesday. Joyce is being treated badly I think by her granddaughters, I know I shouldn't say that but her granddaughter knows how Joyce worries about her grandchildren, especially being out of the country. She must know Joyce wants to know how it went with Chloe so why keep her phone switched off, if it is to stop Joyce from worrying it's not working as she is whittling about it.
We are having chinese as well tonight, lovely.

Hello Caz.
Thanks for keeping us updated about Jean and Joyce.
I can't believe how badly this flamin vertigo has been for our Jean, bless her. She has had to put up with this for months on end now, without any relief from it. It must be driving the poor girl up the wall.
You are always in my thoughts Jean, but I am holding you closer to my heart than ever before now.
I hope and pray that the consultant can sort you out as soon as is possible
((((((((((((BIG GENTLE HUGS FOR OUR JEAN))))))))))))))

Why oh why, can't Joyce's family understand how much she worries about them, and keep her updated on whats going on.
I believe it's better to know, than to be kept in the dark. At least that way, you can accustomise yourself, and accept things for what they are.
We all know that our Joyce takes on others worries, she has such a big heart, and that is the way she is made, bless her cotton socks.

You look after yourself as well Caz, and try not to overdo things honey.

I am off to get some dinner now. Chinese tonight, yummy. Speak to you later. Love Mo xxx

Hi girls Jean is not very well at the moment, she has vertigo as you know but it is getting worse and last night the room was spinning round all night, she never got any sleep. She is seeing a consultant on Wednesday so if we all send her our positive thoughts she will know we are thinking of her.
I was speaking to Dutch this morning and she said she still can't get in touch with her granddaughter to hear how little Chloe is, obviously she is worried and can do without this.

Yes Ann, it really upset me to watch the news, but I had to do so.
I wasn't even aware that it had happened till about 10.00a.m this morning.
Like everyone else in the world, I was so shocked.

I had not heard about the trains Sylvia. My god they would not have stood a chance if they were caught in the waves.

don't worry, I'm safe, Vancouver is well out of danger from the tsunami

but the outer coast is still under the tsunami advisory

just heard the death toll is now around 1,000 ........... at least

There are 4 trains missing in the area hit by the tsunami. Hopefully, they have just lost contact with the control centre.
