Hi all
xx

Keeping my fingers crossed for Joyce's granddaughter and her baby.

Marie ................ it sounds as though you do have this same cold and cough. It's the worse one I've ahd for years! I haven't had more than 2 or 3 hourse sleep, in total, since last Tuesday! Mainly because I can't lie down, and I can't sleep sitting up!

Keeping my fingers crossed for thee and me

Oh ...... I was 71 in January!

Caz ............. I did learn my lesson about how to treat myself when I had a cold back in the 1990s. Like most people, I'd go in to work even if I felt rotten. Then one of my workmates (and very close friend) came down with HIV. He was in pretty good shape, but had to take care of further infections. So, the rest of us started to stay home when we got a cold etc. Not only did that keep him safe ........... but our colds got better faster when we took more care of them!

The government?

Majority Conservative (after 2 sessions of minority kept them under control). Dreading what might happen over the next 4 years.

I put a message on here last night but it's vanished, wonder if I forgot to submit it, most likely. I haven't heard anything more from Joyce but will be speaking to her tomorrow. I feel like the baby on here, I am only 67, but in my head I am 29, my body thinks it is 101, lol.
I hope Sylvia and Marie get rid of their cold soon, it's years since I had one, I was told after I got MRSI not to go near anyone with a cold, it's worked so far.
I must get away to my bed now before I fall asleep sat here.

Love Caz xx

Marie and Sylvia,
I hope that you will soon be feeling better. Lots of these cold/cough viruses around in all countries at the same time which is strange given our seasons are different. Although given that there is so much international travel I suppose it is not so strange.

Dutch hope the new little one arrives soon.

Jean will be thinking of you tomorrow of course.

In fact, I have just cancelled out of a trip over ot the Ilsand to see our friends. OH has to go over there for a meeting on Wednesday until Friday, I was going to go with him, and ahve lunch with one friend, dinner with others.

But I just don't feel up to it. I'm still coughing like mad, and have a runny nose as well.

I have been out the house this afternoon for the first time since last Tuesday ..... we had to go and vote in the Federal Election .... the 3rd one since 2006.

I wonder what kind of govenment we will end up with this time?

Hi there everyone.
Tess, I am so pleased to hear that you have been having a better time of it,
I hope and pray that it continues that way for you love.
I really don't blame you for not being on here, when you have so much else going on in your life at the moment, you go girl keep it up.
Good days are a long time coming arn't they, so make the most of them.

Linda, for goodness sake, do you ever get any rest. lol You are such a worker, and I am a shirker I'm afraid.
I have done one load of washing this evening, and intend to do the next load in the morning.
Judging by the wind today, extra pegs are going to be needed.

We went and saw our lovely Lilly today. She has settled down now, thank goodness, and is back to her smiley self again.
We have got two friends in hospital at the moment. Fortunately they are in the same hospital, so we can visit them both on the same day.
One has just got over pneumonia, and the other has got to have a triple by-pass operation, when they can get him a bed in St Thomas's hospital.
They did an angiogramme on B last Thursday, and found out his complications, but are not going to book him a bed until after he has undergone a stress test tomorrow.
Now if they know he has got to have the by-pass, why have they not already rung and booked his bed, thats what I want to know. Still thats the NHS lately, money saving I suppose, but his life is at risk, and what price is the cost of a life.

I hope Sylvia is feeling better today. And that all our friends who are under the weather feel better soon.

Nigh Night god bless you all. Love Mo xxx

Plenty of washing done and hung out to blow in the strong breeze over the last few days. So much nicer than drying indoors eh?

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 1 May 2011 23:25

Hi everyone, I am fine. Actually because I have been feeling better than I have in a long while, I have been rather busy!
Managed to do some housework, met schoolfriends for lunch, been to a concert. Went to a ladies night forr a talk. Had my hair done. Ben for an Indian Head Massage x 2 (third one due on wednesday.)
Been to the library x 3.
Celebrated my brothers birthday by going for a meal. Mowed the lawn in the back garden (A new lawn and an even newer lawn mower).

All this and much more over a period of four weeks.

This means that I have had very little time or energy left to come on the computer. So for a change, I haven't been here much because I am well, not because i am below par.

I hope that everyone that is under the weather at the moment soon gets better.

I hope to spend some time on here tomorrow. The trouble is, if I feel really well, I might do some ironing, or go for a walk!

Tess

Yes, back to the grind. Although being in the apartment for a month we did still do washing and ironing and some of the dreaded h*******k.

Sylvia, (((((((((((BIG HUGS FOR YOU))))))))))) get well soon honey. It's so unlike you to be this unwell.
What you need is a cuddle with MJ, but wear a mask when you do it, you don't want little man catching it.

Oooh Linda, I forgot about your retirement. No more glitter and glue to have to clear up, will make life more easier for you love.
You can concentrate on your garden now that weather is good. The decorating can wait till the winter time, when you are unable to get outside.
And as Sallie has said, time flies by when you retire, and you wonder how you managed to fit everything in, that you had been doing whilst working.

Cooee Ann, how does it feel to back home again. It's back into the old routine again isn't it, washing, ironing, cooking and that awful swear word Hou*w*rk.
At least you have good weather to get the clothes dry.
I bet you have already planned your next holiday.
Don't forget poor T being out in the garden cutting that grass, he will need extra cups of tea to give him succour to finish the job.

I was so pleased to read that Daff is now back online, and sounding more like her old self. She has gone through so much, and deserves all the love and respect she gets from friends on here.

Lets hope the sunshines for everyone tomorrow, and that the wind starts to drop soon.
It must be the tail end of America's tornado's.

Bye for now everyone. Take care, love to you all. Mo xxx
