Hi Sallie he is called Cocky because he is, thinks he rules the house. He does talk and uses sentences in the right context, like when the district nurse gets her coat on he says* going now*, his favourite is what are you doing and where are you going if he sees me doing anything or going out of the room. I cry sometimes with laughing at the things he says, yesterday he came out with "beautiful oogy boogy boy", oh is always saying oogy boogy to him. He has a huge vocabulary, too many to put on here. he is four now but a baby when the photo was taken.

Ann, thank you for letting us know how to put our pictures on the thread. They look a lot better than what GR put at the side. As you know, we are not very good photographers, so I had to use an old photo.




Caz pleased to see that you have been able to put a picture on here.

Like you I had to use my own picture, it's me and my brother, taken in the garden of my late uncle's house in Manchester.

I love the photo of your constant companion. What's his name and does he talk? Of course that's if they actually do talk.

Hope you are feeling a bit better and more comfortable today.






Jean, well done on adding your picture off avator. I don't know how to get into that, or for that matter I don't know what avator is. lolol!!

Yea! I've done it, got my little constant companion on, had to use my own pic as I couldn't find the others like Huia has used. I'm usually useless with the computer at doing things so quite pleased with myself.

Well done Jean for adding the pic.

The boards are very addictive at present, but it is time I started to think about bed now. Not that I know why. I went to bed about 10.30 last night, yawning my head off. Up an hour later as I couldnt sleep, read a while, back to bed, up again, back again. Finally at 3.30 I gave in and took half a sleeping pill. I am trying to come off them. I now take them less often than I dont take them, if you know what I mean. The previous night I slept well without one. I had hoped to do the same last night. We will have to see how tonight goes without one.

Tomorrow at 3.30 pm I have the jab in my finger so I might not be on when you get up tomorrow morning. I just hope I feel fine enough afterwards to drive home, otherwise I will stay the night at the motel over the road from the Super Clinic.

Have fun, everybody, dont do anything I wouldnt. On the other hand dont do some of the things that I would!

My mum always said she had a perfectly good day of her own (her birthday) and she didnt want us loving her to order. I have never gone in for it either. It is such a commercial thing, getting people to buy presents.

OH came back yesterday afternoon. We immediately went out for coffee.

Then I sat in the coffee shop while OH went to do the weekly shop. We came home, put the stuff away. Then went out for a meal at our local Japanese place.

Then we slipped up to one of the malls so I could get some choccies, and OH picked up a couple of items that he couldn't get at our grocery store.

I was tired out by that time, and feeling really chesty again.

Obviously, I still have the effects of the cold and cough!

I do have a doctor's appointment on Thursday for new prescriptions, so I'll check with her then.


He had a good time on the Island, and a lovely dinner with our friends. he said they didn't stop talking for 3 hours!!


Sallie .... you asked abou MJ. He's doing well ..... although they are currently all taking it in turns to bring coughs and colds home, and then sharing with the others. No sooner have they recovered from one, than they get another one.

I do feel sorry for them ...... J has been hoarse or snuffly each time I've talked to her for the last 3 weeks!!




Today (Sunday) is Mother's Day in Canada, US, Australia, NZ, and lots of other coutnries.

J contacted OH and got him to buy me a bouquet of flowers yesterday because she had been too sick and too busy to do it :)))

Sallie, I am afraid I have no idea what gauge the engine is. My gt uncle used to have model railways under his house. I loved visiting him. He never worked for the railways as far as I know, but 3 of his brothers including my granddad did. I must hunt out some postcards I have of the Raurimu spiral, probably about 1915-1920. The Main Trunk line goes round, though a tunnel, round some more and over the top of the tunnel, to gain height. It is near Mt Ruapehu in the middle of the N. Island.

Sallie, well you mean they are on my e mail, they are not all on the blog yet because I can't do them until tomorrow as I am a bit tired right now. If theya re the wrong way I think I might be able to turn then so don't worry.


To put a photo on here. Go to your account and log in. You will see the blank 'head', near it you will see the word 'change'. Click on that, then click on 'file' this will take you into your own files, click on the file where your photos are stored on your computer ('my pictures or whatever), click on the picture you want and upload it as per instruction. When you go back on the board it should come up within a few minutes.

Like you, I don't know how to put a picture on here either. I'm afraid I'm not very computer literate....can only do certain things on it, but after that I haven't got a clue.lolol!!

I know it's very tiring hanging around in the hospital......most of the time that Jennie has an appointment they are usually pretty good for time, but the odd time, for whatever reason, her and other patients are kept hanging about for a few hours. When that happens she's really tired when she gets home.
It's good that you don't have to change into a gown to have the scan, I'm sure that having to change would only make you more tired.


I'm hoping yhat she's alright, because today her Crohn's is playing up...just hope it isn't the start of a flare up.


Yes Caz, it was nice to hear Joyce laughing a lot today. Let's hope that there are no more problems for her for a very long time, at least.



Well, like you earlier, I need a cuppa now, so I'd better put the kettle on.

Hi girls, I can't put an avator on, don't know how to, I can find my own photos but not how to transfer them. Plus I can't find the already done ones. Sallie it was a tiring day on Thursday, we were sat there most of the morning and as you know I can't sit properly with my back. The machine did break down and we were all sat there in our gowns, apart from me I have been told to dress in clothes with no zips or anything metal as it takes me ages to get undressed then dressed.
I agree with you about Joyce, she was laughing a lot this morning, she sounds a lot happier apart from her leg, I wish she could get something done about the cramp.

Need a cuppa so will be back later.

Ann, all my photos are now on your blog, although a few of them are the wrong way round. Not sure if we can turn them so that they are the right way.


Jean, glad you like the photos of my cards, I'm not too happy with some of them though. I'm on "stop" at the moment, but I'll start soon as I have a few caards to make. Lately, each time I make one, I say to myself that this will be the last card I'm going to make.

I hope you can carry on with the exercises and that your diziness and sickness will soon go.

Just had a peep at them Sallie, they are great, I am struggling with the exersises, the doc said it will go worse before it gets better, dread doing them the after effects last quite a while but needs must so I will carry on with them,.......
I am waiting for D to do my avator as I havent a clue how to do it just need to decide what pic to put on..... so watch this space...
