Hi, Sallie and ladies, hope all is well in your part of the world, we are in the process of clearing the lounge so a builder can rebuild a wall just under the window, we had thought it was damp , but he believes it is crumbling bricks the house are quite old, I dread all the dust and mess, years ago I wouldnt have give it a thought but now I just want to run away....lol.we also have to have a dividing wall between us and next door rebuilt as its now quite dangerous, and if it goes over it would hit our car... so you can bet the man who is doing next door will come at the same time as our man.....doh....

Sallie my mind works overtime with ideas, I dream of them and see a new way of doing them in almost everything....lol.... sad isnt it but it has been a lifesaver for me over the years , like you I find I can get lost in crafting, and any depression I have expierienced over the years ,(some times almost suicidal) has saved my sanity....
so keep crafting.... I have sent some more pics to Ann, but with having all the problems with this site I dont know if they arrived, we will have to keep looking at the blog...
now I must go and pack away my ornaments and cover furniture before the builder comes early tomorrow,
take care folks, Have a good time in Blackpool Mo and Roly ....
love Jean xxx

Hi Girls,

I'm still having trouble with this site, it's taken me 35 mins to get on this thread.....I don't know what GR are doing, I thought that they sorted it all out.lol!!!

Mo, so glad you had a great birthday with all your family around you. Also glad you received my card on time and thank you for the compliment.

Hope you have a lovely holiday in Blackpool and that the weather will stay dry. Have a good journey, I expect you will need a couple of stops on the way, with it being such a long way. You and Roly take care, stay safe and enjoy yourselves.

Sylvia, nice to hear from you and hope that you are improving a bit each day. Take care.

Huia, hope you have been able to get your hearing aids sorted out by now.

I'm finding with mine that the batteries don't seem to be lasting as long as they should. A couple of times lately they seem to have only lasted a couple of days. Maybe they were a bad batch of batteries......I must ring them up tomorrow to order more and I think I might mention the problem it to them. Not that they will be able to do anything about it, but at least they will be aware that there is a problem.

Jean, nice to hear from you, hope you and the family are all well.

I've had a look at your cards on Ann's blog, some nice cards. How do you get to think of so many ideas with doing so many cards at a time?

Ive been to the Range with Jennie and Michael this afternoon, I wasn't going to buy anything today, but still managed to spend £8.lol!!

Jennie bought a few Christmas presents for the children in Michael's family, there are eight of them altogether, so it comes quite expensive
for them.

Tess, hope you've caught the mouse. You are much braver than me, I'm terrified of them.lol!! I know I've been told that they won't hurt me and that they are more frightened of me because I can hurt them., but it doesn't make any difference.

Hope all goes well with the plastering tomorrow and that it will all soon be finished.

Ann I have some more cards to put on your blog, so if it's okay with you, we'll put them on tomorrow evening.

Had a look at your blog, you have some very nice cards on there.

I'm trying to get the desk calendar done for my brother as soon as I've done a bit more of it I'll get Alun to put a few phots of it on your blog. The trouble is, I have so much to do that I don't know what to do first.lol!!

Well girls, I'll say bye for now, speak to you soon.

Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Hello girls,
Many thanks for the birthday wishes.
I have had a lovely day, surrounded by the family.
My poor kettle didn't know what had hit it, it was constantly in use, I am surprised it didn't burn itself out.

Tomorrow I must do the packing, and like everbody, I have the fear off forgetting something, but if I do we will have buy it when we get there.

Thank you once again,Jean, Sallie and Joyce for the beautiful cards. My family were so impressed with them, and said how clever you all are.

Keep up the good work Sylvia, slowly but surely you are getting there love.

Tess, it was mainly rats bothering me last summer. If they follow the mice, you are welcome to them.

Mo, if I win the seat or get in on the party vote, I will still keep this home, but would need a flat in Wellington for when parliament is sitting.

No, I cant see me getting in unless a thunderbolt from up above strikes the voting public and puts some sense into them!

Huia.

Huia does that mean you are now keeping your fingers crossed that people don't vore for you :-D :-D :-D

My aids have a special setting for the phone but I am not sure if the phone I have in this room is compatible with it.

Tess, those Mice from New Zealand, are very good at digging their way over here arn't they. I've heard of little mice with clogs on, but these ones were wearing pith helmets, and carrying torches to find their way to your house. lol ;-)
Like Ann, I had to giggle at the mice doing two laps of the bathroom, with you looking on.

Before I go any further, I must say a big thank you to, Jean, Sallie and Joyce, for the lovely birthday cards. You are all so clever at what you do girls, they are even better than the shop bought ones, with a lot of love and thought going into them. Thank you all.

Well done Huia, on becoming eleventh on the party list for the election.
Would you have to move to Wellington, if you got voted in at the elections.
Uhhhmmm just think girls, Huia could become our first politition on here, you know one of the people we in this country moan about constantly, but she would be the one person that we would change our minds over coz we like her.

I wonder how our Sylvia is as we have not heard from her since the 17th of the month. I do hope you are o.k Sylvia.

Must go and start some dinner now, so I will love you and leave you, sending you all my very best wishes. Love Mo xxx

Am rather tired, should be boxing up all my clutter items, (I've got loads) before the plasterers arrive at 8.00 on Monday.

Don't tell Huia, but one of her mouses seems to have burrowed through the globe all the way to my house ... Argh!!

I am now hiding from it, as it doesn't seem to want to hide from me.
It did two laps of the bathroom while I watched.
Had to use the downstairs loo instead.

I shall have to load up a mouse trap once I decide where to put it.

Other than that I'm quite well.

Huia Report 20 Oct 2011 09:47

Ann, the phone I have has a t-coil I think it is called. It is supposed to be compatible with hearing aids, in fact I took it in to the hearing aid place to check that it was suitable. I had a lot of magnets to put on the earpiece, but all they did was catch my hairs. I also have to switch the hearing aids to the special setting for telephone, but it is just not as good as taking the aid out and pressing the handpiece as hard as I can on the ear - not good if it is a long call, as I get a sore ear. Most frustrating.

I have just seen a press release from our party. I am 11th on the party list for the election! If the party gets 20% of the party vote, that means I could be going to Wellington as an MP. Not very likely though, unless the voters have suddenly woken up and decide to vote for us. But then, we could get the protest vote!

Huia who doesnt really want to go to Wellington.
