Mo in Kent Report 10 Jan 2012 13:40

Oi, you, Mrs Sallie, pull your finger out girl, you know you lurve making your cards really. You are just having a quiet time at the moment, what with everything that is taking over your time ,and patience. Once the workmen have finished, and the house is back to normal, you will soon get back to it again.
You are NOT an old misery, so shut it woman.
Hmmmm I feel better for that, ha, I just told Sallie off, but I am like a coward who goes to the dentists, and knocks on the door with a handkerchief over my knuckles, so no one will hear me. lol Luv you Sallie girl, you know I don't mean it nastily.

Right now it's our Jeans turn, I haven't teased her for many a few months now.
Jean, tut tut, how can you say that our OH's are like kids, you know you love to mother Jeff.
But in my case the word mother, could quickly change to smother where Roly is concerned.
He is at the hospital at the moment picking up his hearing aid, oh crikey Jean, he's going to hear me swearing at him under my breath now, please send me suggestions of how to avoid getting into deeper doo doo than I do already.Don't say for me to keep my mouth shut, coz as you know thats an impossability where I am concerned. lol
Seriously though my love, I hope you are all feeling better now that the new year has arrived, and that things improve daily for you.

A great big HELLOOOOO to Caz, Sylvia,Marie, Joyce Huia and all our friends on this thread.
Lets hope Linda is enjoying herself, lazing in the sun.
Special healing prayers and thoughts for Ann and her daughter <3 <3 <3

Love to all. Mo xxx

Jean, thanks for the encouragement, I am sure that I will start doing them again, just got to try and get interested At the moment I don't even want to watch the Craft programmes which I normally enjoy and don't even want to buy or look at a craft magazine. Sorry I'm being an old misery.lol!!

I'll speak later.

Sallie, every card maker gets a block now and then, I make myself do just one card and that seems to set me off again.... but it will come back to you, I watch the craft sites and see whats new then see if I can copy them and use up any card stock I have sometimes it works sometimes not but the fun is in the trying...I have some A4 blank cards and I dont usually like big cards, so I see how I can cut them down, on Anns blog there are two I made out of one card, just cut it in half back of it made one card and the front the other....D had a box of soaps and talc for christmas and the front was a cut out so that made the other card, and I now have some ideas for more , it always works .... so pet you will soon be at it again....lol....do put them on the blog when you make them ....

Morning Girls,

Caz, keeping my fingers and toes crossed that your check up will go well for you tomorrow. I will be thinking about you and sending lots of positve thoughts.

Jean, I'm sure we will have the benefit once the new boiler is in.....it's a shame we have to have the mess while having it installed.lolol!!

Please could you send me some of your enthusiasm for making cards.lol!! I bought some new bits and pieces just before Christmas, ready to make birthday cards, but as yet, can't get started.

I also want to get on with doing some more family research, keep thinking to join Ancestry again, but it's the cost that's putting me off.
What with the cost of having the car done in August and now the boiler, I'm a bit wary about spending any money.lol!! Especially if it's something that we can do without.
Oh well, I'm sure it will all get sorted one day.

Well I must go and make a cuppa for the workers now, so will look in later.

Take care everyone and have a good day.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Sallie we had a new heating system a couple of years ago, it was worth it though and I am sure it will be for you too...
Mo, I was like you D always went to bed at a set time and we had no problem , unlike the noisy one next door her little boy is running about at 11 or 12 every night and then they sleep until late afternoon...while our little friend on the other side goes to bed early but always wakes up and finishes in mummys bed ,,,, big mistake I think....children need a routine , bit like our OH s well sometimes they are like kids....lol....
YC hope its good news for you when you go for a check up tomorrow, xxx
hope Marie is ok, and also all our other friends who come on here , Linda will be sunning herself by now I should think, hope she has a lovely time...

Oooh thank the lord Ann. I will keep her in my prayers whilst she is under going her RT.
You and T can now perhaps relax a little, just a little.
I know we never stop worrying about our children, but we, as parents, must hold it together for them, and stay strong, even if at times we may feel like we could crumble into dust.
Hugs for you Ann <3 <3 <3

I'll just copy this on here from the other thread in case nobody sees it there.

Daughter's main appointment was today and thankfully her case was so borderline that she has opted to go for R Therapy and tamoxafen and not chemo. She will get her RT programme tomorrow but it will probably start in two weeks time.

thank you for all your thoughts they have helped me along the way and I am sure have had some bearing on the results. <3 <3 <3

Hello Girls,

Well they have finished for the day and will be back at eight in the morning to get all the rest done, as far as Alun can see there still seems to be a lot to be done. All the pipework for the new boiler is done ready to put it on the wall and thermostats have been put on all the radiators except for the new one that will be delivered tomorrow and of course put on.

The dining room and the second bedroom look as though a bomb has hit.lol!!
I had to take some tablets earlier because I started with a migraine, thankfully it is a lot better.

Mo, Alun and I both usually tidy up after he has been doing some DIY, he usually deals with the heavy things that I can't lift or carry.

Huia, lovely photo of you with your grtgranddaughter, you must feel so proud.

Ann, thinking of your daughter and hoping that her appointment tomorrow will have a good outcome.
Sending hugs and positive thoughts to her, you and all the family.

Jean, hope all is well with you and the family today.

Caz, if you are looking in, also hope that you are having a better day.
I am thinking about you.

Sylvia, nice to hear that J&M and MJ are all okay, I'm sure MJ has grown a lot since you last seen him. Have you seen any photos of him lately?

Hope Linda and OH will have a safe journey to their holiday destination. Not sure where they are going.

Hello to any of our other friends that are looking in and hope that you are all okay.

Extra positive thoughts for Ann,s daughter. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I hope I am in time to wish Linda a lovely holiday, but I bet she has already gone, oh botherations.

Huia what a lovely photo of you and Baby. You look sooo proud, and have every right to be so.

Ahh Sylvia, I am so sorry to have missed your birthday.
Belated ((((((((((((((HUGS for you)))))))))))))))
I am glad you enjoyed your meal though.

Sallie, I hope the radiator installation is going well, and not to much chaos caused by it.

Whenever Roly does a job round the house, the clearing up is always left for me to do.
I get so frustrated,as I think he made the mess, he should clear it up, but it never happens that way.

Ann, your Daughter is in my thoughts and prayers. <3 <3 <3

Love and best wishes to all our friends. Mo xxx

Hi all

Thank you Sallie .......we did have a lovely meal!

Huia ...... what a lovely picture xxxxxx

Linda ..... I hope you have a lovely time away.

It seems to be the modern way to let kids do their own thing. I have to say that J&M always had MJ in bed early ............... but he was fed on demand, and "demand" was sometimes every hour :-0

She had MJ in the bed with her for a couple of months ................ M slept on the bed settee in the other room for all of that time.

MJ has been on what I would call a normal schedule since about last July ............... he's in bed by 7:00 pm, goes to sleep quickly, and usually takes around 6:00 or 6:30 am ............. although he will entertain himself for quite a time after that.

a quiet Sunday here!

Sallie ...... I hope installing your new radiator is a quick and smooth job!

Sallie Report 8 Jan 2012 18:26

Mo, we also have a gas fire in our living room which I like to have on, I always think that it looks far more cosy with the fire on. Call me old fashioned if you likelol!! but I, like most of us on here grew up having a coal fire, so I think it comes from then, when our house always had a coal fire in the kitchen and then every afternoon there was another one lit in what we called the middle room, it was where we had the television and we could all sit in comfort.Oh they were lovely, happy days.

Well Alun and Michael have moved what furniture that needed to be moved in the dining room and pulled the carpet ready for the morning.
It will be nice to have it all done and hope that we feel the benefit after what it's costing us. Mind it's so long since our Central Heating has worked properly, I can't imagine it being as warm as it use to be before all the poblems. That's me, always looking on the negative side, I'm afraid.lolol!!

Jennie and Michael are also having to have a new gas boiler on Thursday, like us they have had trouble for a few years with it, so it's finally packed in......mind it's a lot older than ours, so can expect it.

Hello to all our other friends on here, hope you are all alright.

Speak to you soon.
