Caz, good to see you up and being pushed around. It is so frustrating for you I'm sure. you'll have to stop polishing that floor!!!! Comfort food to me is shepherds (or cottage) pie. Lazy food, doesn't need much chewing. I suppose fish, mash and white sauce is the same. :-D

YorkshireCaz Report 31 Jan 2012 18:15

Hi girls, thought I would have a look at the threads while I am up for a while, can't be doing with staying in bed. Well what a thing to do hey? Slipped on the kitchen floor on Wed night, it hurt all night so I asked hubby to take me to hospital early the next morning, got x-rayed nearly straight away then the day is a blur after that. I have a zimmer but it is a big one and the flat is only small, so oh is pushing me about on my wheeled office chair. My jerky foot is worse now the pot is on and driving me mad. Going for my comfort food now, mash and fish with white sauce, only thing I ever want when I'm down.
Thanks for all your good wished.
Hope everyone else is ok.

Love Carole xx

LindainBerkshire1736004 Report 31 Jan 2012 07:56

Hi Dutch
Found this on Wikipedia for you :

Nipissing is a township in central Ontario, Canada, on Lake Nipissing in Parry Sound District. Nipissing was surveyed between 1874 and 1881, and was incorporated in 1888. Among the first settlers in the area were the Chapman and Beatty families. Nipissing village annexed Gurd Township in 1970. The township also contains a community named Nipissing, which is located on the South River near Chapman's Landing, on the South Bay of Lake Nipissing.

The township includes the communities of Alsace, Christian Valley, Commanda, Hotham, Nipissing and Wade's Landing.

Hope it helps

I just put Nipissing in Google, there was more info too

Sallie D is doing fine we were a bit worried when the snow came , she left work at 4.45 and finally arrived home at 10.20 the M 62 was closed because of and accident and snow all of 2inches....doh ...the traffic crawled for ages , she came off and tried to come home another way, but a van had skidded on the ice and blocked that road so she had to detour over the moors to Oldham and came that way she said there was no sign of snow over there....very tired and ready for bed... but she is fine now... thanks for asking....I see the gritters are out tonight so hopefully all will be well....just off to have some tea love Jean xx

Hello Girls,

Jean, will be thinking about Jeff tomorrow, hope all goes well at the hospital for him. How is Debra getting on lately? I hope all is going well for her.
You are a busy bee making all those cards....you put me to shame.lol!! Take care.

Sister-in-law rang me last night to tell me that my brother is in hospital. He has Cellulitis in his elbow so had to go in so that he can have the antibiotics intravenously. Not sure what Cellulitis is exactly, just hope that he will be OK, which I'm sure he will be...sister-in-law although concerned didn't sound unduly worried.

Speak to you all soon.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Sallie Report 28 Jan 2012 17:50

Mo, I hope that it won't be too long before you have your scan and that they will get it sorted for you. I would have thought that the doctor would have given you something stronger than Paracetamol for the pain. I take Ibuprofen which usually works for me, as I can't take anything with Codeine in it.

Joyce sore subject with Alun....... Manchester United losing to Liverpool .....he's not a happy bunny at all.lol!!!

Did you try that spare plate that you had with the Cuttlebug? I know the unmarked plate I had with mine was deffinitely a C plate and it works fine.

Caz if you are looking in, I hope that your ankle is a bit less painful today. I also hope that it won't be too long before you are able to have your next scan.

Ann, lovely bright sunny day here too but it's very cold here. Alun and I went into Derby this afternoon and it was quite busy there. We usually go in early on a Saturday morning when it is much quieter, but we had to stop in this morning to wait for a parcel to be delivered ....which it was, I'm glad to say.

Sylvia, hope your cold is getting better and not causing you any problems.

Linda, over the last day or two I have started taking an interest in card making again..... between yesterday and today I've bought bought some more stash, so just have to make a start now.lol!!

As Mo have already said, the time seems to have flown since you told us that your daughter was expcting her first baby.....I'm sure that you are all getting excited and looking forward to seeing your first grandchild.

Marie, hope you are feeling a lot better than you have been for a while.

Sorry to hear that you had lost so many of your garden plants and vegetables with all the rain you have had recently.

Huia, hope you are getting along alright. Are you still working in the Hospice Shop?

Jean, also hope that you, Jeff and Debra are all okay.

Well everyone I must go as our dinner is nearly ready so will speak soon.

Take care.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Joyce what is your problem with the cuttlebug? Actually you need the C plate before you can use it really. You should have a book with it which tells you the order in whcih to put the plates and paper/card to be cut. If you don't let us know and we can put the order on here.

glad Jan's party went OK.

Extremeley cold out although sunny. Been in to town on the bus and had lunch in Wetherspoons which was crowded with Glos Rugby supporters as they are at home to Cardiff today. Took 3 bags of books and bits to charity shops so that is more stuff gone.

Hope you can get your pain sorted Mo. Why don't they give you Cocodimal (sp) which is stronger than paracetamol.
Carpet was 2.3 M X 4M

Mo in Kent Report 28 Jan 2012 14:02

Ha ha Ann, how could you not go to The Range, it was to good an opportunity to miss wasn't it.
£76.00 was not bad a price for the carpet. How big a piece was it?
I did wonder about T and his golf. Mind you, I certainly don't blame him for not wanting to venture out on the course in really bad weather.

I had to go to the doctors yesterday teatime. I was in so much pain in my bowel. I have to have an emergency scan sometime this week.
I dare say they will come to the same conclusion, it's scar tissue to the bowel. But I just wish they could give me something to relieve the pain, other than Paracetamol.

Enough of my problems, I hope you are all well, and enjoying your weekend.
It's not a very nice day here again today, rather chilly willy outside, so I shall stay inside the house for the day methinks.
Take care my friends, love to you all, Mo xxx

Marie good to see you on here but sorry to hear about your poor garden. And here we think Australia always gets lovely summers.

Mo T decided he wouldn't play golf today, he is not so keen these days in going out in all weathers, I remember when he used to play in the snow even (with a red ball) :-D :-D.
Instead we went out to buy a carpet for his 'office', it is only small so we managed to get an end of roll which only cost £76. We then went to Dunelm and the Range, where I just managed to find some craft bits to buy. :-D

Mo in Kent Report 27 Jan 2012 14:04

I am really LOL, we don't hear fro Marie for a while, then she manages to send us four on the trot saying the same thing. pmsl here.

It's good to hear from you Marie. What a shame that all your hard work in the garden has been washed away, with the downpours.
What a pity that the vegetables that were planted in the higher houses, didn't end up in your garden. You could have had some extra veggies for free.
The weather all over the world is so unpredictable at the moment.
Today we have got brilliant sunshine, but oh boy is it cold. There is absolutely no warmth in the sun at all.
It's good to hear that you are still doing the singing tuition classes. It helps to take your mind of off other problems doesn't it.

Good grief Linda, I can't believe the baby is due within the next month,it only seems a couple of months ago that you told us about your becoming a grandmother soon.
Do they know what they are having yet, or are they waiting for the lovely surprise when baby shows it's little face.
I bet you will spoil it no matter what they have.
And I can imagine them having enough knitten woollen things to last till little one is at least a year old.

Ann I have got everything crossed for you love. God willing the cream will sort the problem out for you.
When is it you go away to Tenerife? I know it is going to be in the near future. If you don't want to put it on here, you could p.m me.
Has T been able to get out for his game of golf lately? It would probably be very cold out on the course. But then golfers don't mind the weather do they, not like lickle ol me, I like my warmth and home comforts, and tea on tap whenever I want it.

Thanks for letting us know about Caz, Jean. The poor girl certainly has been through the mill lately. Give her my love when you next speak to her.
How are you and Jeff doing honey. Not to long now for your holiday either is it. Have you started your packing yet lol.
We are going up to Great Yarmouth in May, and taking our son, OH and baby Lilly with us.
I just hope that baby is in a better routine by then. I don't fancy being woken up in the early hours by a screaming little one.

Has anyone heard how Jan's birthday party went. Surely Jean,Sallie or Caz would have heard from her by now. Lets hope it went well for them all.

Huia, hows Phil keeping these days. I bet you are still working hard at the Hospice shop.
I hope you have not had more visits from the dreaded rodents.
Have you seen anything of your family lately?

Well my lovely friends, I must go now, got the doctors soon, so I will speak to you tomorrow.
Love and best wishes Mo xxx
