Snow Sylvia!!!! Please keep it there.

Mo it is still too cold to put bedding plants outside. Ours stay in the conservatory and greenhouse until we go to Tenerife and then we keep our fingers crossed for a month!!
T has had some dental treatment in the past year, we both have but this time he had a brace behind his front teeth work loose and the teeth are too unstable to have it replaced so he has to have his lower front teeth out and a denture in I think the total cost is around £400. *gulp!

Caz, sorry you couldn't make it to the hospital today, I hope you feel

well enough on Thursday. :-)

Linda, pleased to hear baby is putting on weight now. Yes the fine weather certainly makes us want to get out into the garden doesn't it?

Hi all

we had some s**w yesterday morning :-0

It was only a few flakes at our hour, but OH was in another part of the city and said they had 2-3 cm there!

AND ............ it is now officially SPRING!!!!!

Mo .... it was my OH who had all that expensive dental treatment last year ............... and he had to go back to one of the dentist's last month because he had an abcess under one of the crowns! She drilled a little hole in the crown, drained the abscess and packed it with antibiotics. He went back yesterday and she did the root canal and filled the hole in the crown. Do hope that was the last!!!

We have that same "baby's not gaining enough weight" "syndrome" over here .................. but they are now taking another look at the tables that they use, Those tables were, I think, developed in the US some years ago.

BUT we have millions of Chinese and Japanese people living here, some new immigrants, but a lot are 4th and 5th generation.

They are tiny compared to North Americans .......... yet they were being told that baby was small at birth, baby was not gaining enough weight, etc etc. And this has gone on for years.

Finally .............. someone has realised that small babies are probably natural for certain ethnic groups!

Oh Caz what a shame you didn't make to the hospital. Dont forget to keep that foot elevated love, and get to the hospital A.S.A.P.
Asbestos in your flats is not good is it. There are a lot of schools that are finding it as well.
Years ago the dangers were not known were they.
When Chatham Dockyard was open,it used to repair submarines, and so many men have suffered from asbestosis in recent years, because of it,many losing their lives through it.

Oh not more expense Ann. Our teeth are a pain coming, and a pain going, plus cost us an arm and a leg inbetween times. lol
Was it Sylvias, OH who had all the dental treatment done last year? or was it T.

Linda, have you done the inside, and outside of your house this year. It seems like it has been all go for you both.
With you and Ann talking about the bedding plants, it's making me wonder if I should get to Dobbies and buy more. But I am a bit afraid in case we get a heavy frost, and it kills them off.

It seems that a lot of new born babies suffer from the reflux these days, I know baby Lilly did.
And honestly, the health visitor frightened the life out of S, when she said that baby was not gaining enough weight quick enough.
I would like to know where the book that they learn all this is stored. No two babies are the same, but they seem to use the same guide lines for them all.

Night Night god bless everyone. Love Mo xxx

Hi All
Lovely day here too.

The decorator finished painting the outside, who would have thought that possible in March.

We too went to the garden centre Ann I got some pansies, violas, primula, and aubretia also a couple of packets of seeds. I have planted some of the pansies and primula in a trough in our porch. It is very cheering.

Baby grandson is growing. Now he has baby gaviscon for the reflux he is keeping much more milk down and gained twelve and a half ounces in one week. Having worried his Mum at the clinic by telling her he wasn't gaining enough !! Blasted figures, why does everyone have to conform.

Hope tomorrow is another nice one will get some more gardening done hopefully.

Hi Mo and Ann, I didn't get there, I felt unwell when I woke up and I can't go tomorrow as there is a man coming about asbestos or something in the flats. So it looks like Thursday when I go, I am spending the time in bed with my feet up, OH was creaming my foot last night when he said it's all a big bruise round the left side and round to the other, oh heck. I'll let you know what happens when I go, thanks for thinking about me, it helps believe me.
I also only come on here about 5ish most days then close for Emmerdale.

All I have done today is spend money, or so it seems. OH had to go to the dentist for an impression, then we did the weekly shop. After lunch we have been to the garden centre buying more plants and three lots of compost.

Caz, hope you got on OK, let us know the outcome.

Caz, how did you get on at the hospital today about your ankle? It has been playing on my mind all day, but I couldn't get on here any sooner.
If your foot is swollen, I am wondering if they will put it in another cast, they may decide against it love.
I just hope they can do something about it though, as you shouldn't have to put up with the amount of pain you have had lately.

Well girls, we have had another glorious day today. I sat in the garden for a while earlier, and watched the birds, ooh it was soo peaceful.

I am cheating today, our dinner is a M+S Cumberland pie, mmmmm lovely.
All I need to do is pop it in the oven, and heat some beans to go with it. Look out wind here I come. lol

Bye for now my friends, speak to you tomorrow. But I will pop back later to see if there is any news from Caz. Love Mo xxx

Hi Mo, your lot think you smell nice and want you to stay that way, mine just want me to put weight on.
My ankle is feeling worse so I won't be surprised if I end up with another cast on, it is also swelling up so all I can do is stay in bed with the foot raised.
Jean said she would send me a letter during the week about how it is down there, hope the weather is good for them, I will let you know when it comes.
Glorious sunshine here today but very cold with a wind.
Hubby is peeling the spuds for when tea wants to go on, love mash, in fact he does all the cooking now and turned out to be quite good.
I haven't had a cuppa since my dinner so better go and get one.

Oh my word, I am sorry girls, I missed you over on the previous page.
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Mothering Sunday.

Huia, I told you in the past, when I win the lottery, you will get your air fare, and I will pay for your passport to be renewed as well.
I do need you to sort me drawers out after all. lol

Sylvia, the phone always seems to ring when we are just getting down to looking in on here doesn't it.
And it's so annoying especially if it's taken ages to get on here, and we have to close down, or the internet closes itself down whilst we are gassing.

Ann I hope you enjoyed your lunch out. It's so nice to be spoilt isn't it, and even though our children love us, it's special to get the mothers day cards.
Well they mean an awful lot to me anyway, and no doubt everyone else.

Sallie, did you get taken out love? I bet Jennie spoilt you.

Linda, I dare say it was pretty hectic in your house last night, but enjoyable at the same time.
I bet young Sebastion is really taking on his own personality now. They grow so quickly dont they, and if you miss seeing them one week, the next week they seem to have shot up, and changed so much.

I must go now girls, the dinner is waiting for me to prepare it. Love to all Mo xxx

Sorry to have missed you yesterday Caz, but like most of us, my clan decided to pop in and out.
I had some lovely gifts, but I am sure they all think I smell, as the girls bought me smellies of some sort or another, and the boys came loaded with flowers, so either way I thought they thought I stunk. lol
Good luck at the hospital tomorrow Caz, get them to listen to you, as you are the one that is having to put up with all the pain, and not them. It's to easy for them to bypass us as it takes up their time, and thats not right is it.

It absolutely glorious here today, the sun is shining, and sitting in the garden is like sitting in a sun trap.
But, Roly is cold, so he has got the fire on, and where I am sweating so much, I keep going outside. See I told you my kids think I stink.lol
I wonder what the weather is like in Wales today, I do hope it's nice for Jean and J.

Got to go and prepare dinner now, so I will speak to you all tomorrow. Love Mo xxx

Hi all, hope you all had a good mothers day, my son came yesterday with some rose and violet creams, he is on duty today.
Mo I was just saying to OH that I will go back to hospital on Tuesday as I know the ankle is not right, My cleaners are coming tomorrow and I'd rather have that done, lol. I slipped on the kitchen floor and banged my foot into the cupboard 7 weeks ago, the cast came off last week but I can't walk on it, thing is, is that they didn't x-ray it the second time and I told them it still hurt. Yes my arthritis gets worse when it's cold and wet, at the moment my poor knees are feeling it
Well I hope Jean and Jeff get some good weather down there, they deserve it, it has been quite nice here today.
Got a cuppa waiting then have to wait for the skating coming on, I love it.

Thank you both for the Mother's Day wishes.
And wishing all other Mums a happy day today.

I went to see my Mum yesterday, she has settled in really well in her new home and was quite happy when we saw her yesterday, She loved the card we took and a bouquet of roses, they were one of my Dad's favourite flowers he grew so many over many years.
We also took her birthday card and a gift as it is on Friday and not sure if we can get back again. I did a photo of her Great Grandson in a lovely frame from M&S. She seemed pleased and I did a couple mor photos for her album too. Then as it was lunch time we left and drove to Hubby's Dad and spent the afternoon and evening with him. He was pleased for the company and we talked a lot. Trying to get him to write down about his childhood in India but he is reluctant as he says it will take a lot of his time.

Today have been getting ready for all the family to come. Hubby is cooking a BBQ tonight. Hoping the weather stays dry.
All our children, their partners and our grandson will be here so should be nice.
We saw the baby on Wednesday and he is growing a bit and trying to smile. He is very content so I enjoyed having him while his Mum went out to do some chores.

Have a nice afternoon all

Hi everyone

sorry that last post was so short and sweet ................. I was just starting it when the phone went, so I signed off as I knew the call would be a long one. :-D

Not that very much has happened! ............ wind, rain, sun, wind, and on and on ..... that seems to be the weather pattern right now!

and that means that my arthritis acts up with the atmospheric changes.

love to everyone

Mo, are you offering to pay my airfare etc? I will have to get my diary out and see when I can fit you in. Oh, and I need a new passport. I dont think I want to spend money on that at the moment.

I might not visit Phil today after all. I was asked to go to Waiuku to pick up a billboard and some posts sometime. Today would probably be the best day to do it.

Huia.

Mo in Kent Report 17 Mar 2012 19:34

Ooooh lovely, it's so good to hear from you all.
It's been so lonely here without you all.

Huia, you are such busy bee, doing all this clearing away of unwanted clothes, and tidying your drawers.
When you have finished, could you jump on a plane and just pop over and tidy mine for me please. lol
If I remember rightly, didn't you have he same symptoms after your flu jab last year?
If the uneasy feeling continues, especially with the headachy feeling, please get the doctor to check you over.
No wonder you fell asleep for three hours, instead of visiting Phil, you were probably exhausted after your exertion.

Cor luv a duck Sylvia, that was short and sweet love. Good to see that you are still around though.
I hope you are both well, and not suffering from webbed feet, and broken wings after all the wind and rain you have had.

Sallie my little love, it's great to see you back.
I am sorry that both you and Jennie, have had the rotten virus, and also that poor Jennie had to go into hospital. How is she now?
So the rotten black dog reared it's ugly head again. Did you manage to get to see the therapist yet?
My son has not been reffered to the local hospital yet, as his results have not been sent down from Scotland yet. And the reason for that is, that they forgot to ask him for his G.P's address here.
Hopefully they will have received them by Monday, as thats when he has to go and see his doctor again.

Ann, we haven't been to Yarmouth since our children were very young, so we decided we would take a trip back, to see how much it has changed.
I have to admit, we used to enjoy it, but then we stayed at the Pontins camp at Caister.
There was always things for the children to do, and they were entertained all day.
There was not much along the sea front in those days either, but we enjoyed the beach and bathing in the sea, but I dont think I would attempt that these days.
That blessed M6 seems never ending doesn't it. And travelling in the rain, with all those lorries is frightening. They seem to be all around you, spraying muck up from everywhere......scary.

Caz, I am sorry to hear that the darned FM is playing up badly for you. Do you think that our weather in this country doen't help it.
I know that my arthritus gets worse during wet and cold weather. I have had bad nights for nearly a fortnight now, my arm and knee have been giving me jip, keeping me awake.
It does sound like you need to get that ankle checked again though love. I would have thought you would have felt some relief from it by now.

I forgot that Jean and J were away this particular week. I do hope the weather cheers up a bit for them. They so deserve the beak away, after all they went through last year.

Have a lovely day tomorrow everyone, sit back and relax and be waited on hand and foot.
( snigger, snigger we know that wont be happening dont we,most of our children have left home by now. lol)
Bye for now girls. Love Mo xxx

Good to see you Caz, I think the rain is pretty general we had it off an on all the way down the M6 and M5 from the L District to here. Sorry your ankle still hurts, I hope it is just that it is taking time to heal properly. Can't remember now how long it is since you fell and broke it.

Hi girls, I don't know when I last came on but I have a lot of pain lately with FM, it flares up now and again. My ankle is still hurting and I am wondering if it hasn't healed properly yet, might have to go back and have it checked, but I hate hospitals.
Jean and Jeff went to Llandudno this morning so I hope the weather is better than it is here, it's been raining all day, we need it though as I can't remember the last time it rained. We have had high winds here Sylvia but nothing like you decribe.
I was just thinking the same as Sally about Huia, a very busy lady, but my mum always said it was best to keep going and keep busy, she was digging a lilac tree up from the front garden to the back when she was 75, she was a monkey but we couldn't stop her.
I hope your 'black dog' goes soon Sally theres nothing worse.

Hope everyone is ok and keeping well, see you all later.

Mo, hopefully you will enjoy your holiday although I have to admit I don't like caravans and I have only visited Gt Yarmouth once on a day trip and wasn't impressed, it looked scruffy to me. However, thatw as over 20 years ago so here's hoping it has had a face lift since then. And you will be with family which is lovely.

Sallie, sorry to hear about your cold, hope you feel better soon. Daughter is getting there although still in pain where the lymph nodes were removed.

Jean has gone away today I think, Hope she has a lovely time.

Huia the flu jab does cause all sorts of mild reactions in some people so hopefully that is all it was.
