hi all
xxx

we're having some lovely sunny weather here :-)

Caz ......... glad to hear that your foot seems to be improving.

everything's good over here ................... MJ has got another cold!! He seems to have just got better from one, and then gets another. And, of course, mum and dad also catch them

take care, everyone

Caz, glad to hear that you have started walking better on your foot and that it's a lot less painful than it's been. Just take care though, you don't want it to go back to how it was.
You must feel uncomfortabe with the temperature at 78 in your flat, even with all the windows open.

Ann, yes that might be an idea to look in on the gardening thread, I'm sure there'll be someone there that can give us some advice. Is Shaun on the gardening thread? I know he is keen gardener and grows a lot of his own veg.

I'll say goodnight now, speak to you all tomorrow.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Yes it's good to see Jean back. I didn't go to the hospital this morning as I started to walk on it normally last night and I don't have much pain now, so I thought I would leave it till over the weekend and see how it is then.I have put up with it all week so another two days won't make any difference, they told me to go back in two weeks from now didn't have an appointment as such. Sylvia I could do without the snow so keep it over there, it was about 20c here today much too warm from being so cold a few days ago, 78 in the flat with all the windows open, phew.
Sally glad you are feeling better keep on taking the tablets.

Good to see Jean back, glad you had a nice break but sad about the craft shop, hope it isn't closing.

Sallie pleased that the tablets are working. You might pick up some tips on the gardening thread, there is usually somebody on there who can answer questions.

Jean, nice to see you home again......glad to hear that you and Jeff had a good week in Llandudno
A bit disappointing for you Jean, with not being able to get some of the craft stuff you were hoping to get. It sounds as though they might be closing, but you would think that they would have a notice up letting their customers know the situation.

Beautiful day here today, lovely and warm and sunny, hope it continues for a while.

I seen the doctor this earlier this afternoon, he's pleased that I am doing alright on the new tablets, so for the time being I carry on taking the same dosage. I'm still waiting to hear about an appointment
for Counselling, I know there is a six to eight week waiting list, so don't suppose I'll hear anything for a couple of weeks yet.

Caz, I'm wondering how you got on at the hospital today. Hope they were able to sort out the problem with your foot for you.

Ann thanks for letting me know about Tenerife, I thought for some reason that you were going a couple of weeks earlier.

Mo, hope you are okay. Have you started on your gardening yet?

Alun and I have decided to try and grow some tomatoes, runner beans and potatoes. It's many years since we grew any vegetables
so don't know if we'll have any luck growing them now.lol!! We'll wait and see!

Huia, if I could do half of what you can, I would be very pleased. I'm alright doing the decorating, but to make or repair anything using a drill, saw etc. I would be totally useless.

Sylvia, how is your little grandson getting on these days. It seems a long while since we've heard about him. Hope he and his mum and dad are all ok.

Hello to Linda, Joyce, and Marie.Hope you are all OK.

Well girls I must make our dinner now, so will speak to you all later.

Take care everyone.

Love, Sallie.xxx

As a teenager I helped my parents to build a house. When Phil and I had been married about a year he suggested that we buy a bit of land from a local farmer and build a house, taking our time about it, so that we did not need to get a mortgage. It took us 12 years of spare time and spare cash. We did have holidays in that time and brought up 2 children, and it was well worth the work we put in. I also helped Phil with other handyman things. As a result of all of this I know my way around the tools etc.

Caz, hope all goes well for you tomorrow, I will be thinking about you
Sending you lots of hugs and positive thoughts.

Huia, you really are good to be able to do all that carpentry, I wouldn't even know where to start, so well done to you.

Mo, how are things with you and your family? Hope your son has heard from the hospital by now and at least got an appointment with the Consultant very soon.

Sylvia, hope we don't get any of your snow coming this wayLOL!!

Linda, good to hear that all is well with you and your family and that your baby grandson is doing so well. Bless him.

Ann, how long is it before you and T go to Tenerife?

Jean if you are looking in, hope you and Jeff are enjoying your week in Llandudno and that you are having some good weather.

Joyce, how are you doing? Have you made anymore cards lately?
I've decided to have a break from making cards for a while, as I need to concentrate on doing some more family research. I joined Ancestry
this evening , it's a few years since I was last a member so hope it hasn't changed too much and will be easy to use.

We haven't heard from Marie for a while, hope she's alright.

Well ladies, I'll say bye for now, speak to you all soon.

Take care everyone.

Hi girls, I didn't go to the hospital today, I forgot the district nuurse was coming for my monthly blood pressure check, of course it is up so she will keep her eye on it.
I am going tomorrow to get my ankle looked at, please keep fingers crossed it is ok and just needs rest, although it doesn't feel that way. I am spending more time in bed with it up yet it's not feeling any better and very swollen now as is my foot. No problem with asbestos in any of the flats, thank goodness.
Right, I am off for my tea now, see you all later.

This morning I went to town to do a bit of shopping, then this afternoon I did some carpentry, making a couple of stands to go on the table for my computer and monitor. I havent finished them yet, but it shouldnt take long now. The worst part was finding bits of suitable wood in the racks where Phil put all the bits and pieces. I have sawn bits on the circular saw and drilled holes with his electric drill as the timber is so hard that the nails were bending.

I have put photos on my facebook page of the big trailer that overturned on our road yesterday, spilling lots of road metal down the bank, and holding up 3 logging trucks with trailers (all loaded with logs). Also a photo taken on our wedding day and another taken yesterday afternoon (which is my avatar). If anybody wants to see my FB page just PM me.

Hello everyone,

Thought I'd just have a quick look in to see how you all are. I had trouble getting on to GR yesterday, I tried several times to log in, but for some reason the site wouldn't let me, so gave it up as a bad job in the end.lol!!

Caz, good luck at the hospital tomorrow, hope they can get it sorted for you. Good to hear that there was no problem in your flat with asbestos.

It's very late now so will look in again tomorrow.

My goodness Sylvia, SNOW.... yuk, you can keep it, we definately dont want it.
Ah, I was right Sylv it was your OH who had all that treatment done on his gnashers.
I can't understand why they didn't do the root canal treatment, before they put the crowns in. Bless him he must have been in agony with the abcess.
And to think how much all that treatment cost him in the first place, it's disgusting.

Ann, I think I will wait to put my plants in. You will have to give me a reminder a little before you go off to Tenerife, so that I can buy them in readiness.
We don't have a greenhouse, but we do have a shed. It doesn't get very warm in there though, so I may be defeating the whole object if I get them now.
Lordy Lordy , £400 for T's teeth to be done. Is that private dental care, or NHS?

Good luck for tomorrow Caz, I will be thinking of you when you are at the hospital.
Dont take no truck from them love, get them to sort things out for you.

Night god bless all. Love Mo xxx

Going to hospital tomorrow as the man came this morning about the asbestos, we are ok as it happens. My foot is swollen even more so definitley need to have it seen to, it's hurting as well more, I think they should have x-r\yed it when they took the cast off to make sure it was ok,, I don't think they would have taken it off then.
Oh snow Sylvia, we had hailstones the other day but we can do without snow. Oh has turned up with tea, a quick fish and chips as time has run out.

See you all later.
