Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 12 Apr 2012 18:59

Oh No! I have done it again, I have missed Florence.
Welcome Florence, nice to see you, please pop back sometimes and see us. Everyone is welcome to join us in our chit chats.
I know what you mean about getting on to longer threads though, it's a real pain in the BTM.

Mummo, you are NOT nosey, you know we love to hear from you,and know how things are going for you all.
It's great that your daughter has moved nearer to you.Close family ties mean so much don't they. Luckily for me, my five all live local to us, but we don't live in each others pockets, just the knowledge that they are only a phone call away. makes a lot of difference.

Ann, roly's teeth are both upper and lower teeth. He has about four on each plate.
I have never known anyone take as long to eat a meal as him. I could dish the meal up at 5 p.m and he would still be eating it at 6 p.m, stone cold on his plate, he still munches through it.
I do admire T sticking to his guns, or should that be gums lol and tolerating the discomfort.

Puss, Jean has not renewed her membership on here this time. She is having a break, and doing other things.
But we do miss her terribly, she was the main reason I started this thread originally, as her thread had been whooshed for no known reason.
Puss if the idea of seeing my O.H's teeth flying through the air, you should be here when he takes his time eating his meal, I feel like picking up the plate and throwing it at him. Talk about meals on wheels, it's more like flying plates and not flying saucers. He will be wearing the meal soon, if he continues to take so long. " Patience Mo" as mother used to say.

Well my friends I have to go now, and get myself sorted out for darts.

Oooh I forgot to say hello to Sallie, Caz, Joyce, Marie, Joyce and numerous other friends, sorry about that.
Byeee Love Mo xxx

Mummo, don't just read it girl, post on it. what has happened about your tooth?

Mo, He seems to be coping better today, he has kept them in all the time during the daytime, he is a bit too proud to be seen outside without them. His gums are still sore. Are Roly's just back teeth or right across? There is no way I was having teeth in a glass I hate the things, I have got him some plastic tumblers, if he doesn't want to use those he has an old china mug, none of these are see through. I have spent 50 years not making him look at me with my small denture not in and I expect the same from him. (unless they are hurting of course). :-D

Oooooh I just dont believe it, I have just written a loooong post, and lost the damned thing.

Firstly, welcome to Susan with numbers and Mau, it's good to see you, come back and have a chat with us whenever you feel like it, you will be most welcome.
What a shame we never had a visit from the men as well girls, it's not as if we would bite them is it, weeell not a lot. Only at halloween of course.

It's good to hear you are still in one piece Huia. I hope the meeting with the staff about Phil's progress or regression went o.k. and that you found him well.

Sallie, I know I am strange, but I quite like the smell of deep heat, and not a lot of people can admit to that. lol

Ann, has T managed with his teeth today? If he has, can you send him round here to have word with Roly to encourage him to persist with his, as they are sitting in the glass on the bathroom window ledge staring at me.

Puss, bless your mum, it will take time for her to adjust to the loss of her husband, mind you it will affect all of you as well.
Is your mattress a memory foam one. My OH has got an electric adjustable bed, with a memory foam topper on it.
There are times when I am tempted to creep in his room, push the button, and ping him out of bed, lol :-D, no I wouldn't do that, ( titter titter)

I am just going to have a look at the threads now, so hopefully I will be back later, but if I'm not, you will know that I am at darts.
Bye for now, love Mo xxx

Ann i sent some pics of my bracelets
Salli . i kind of on a even keel, i got very low last november and had snough of the pain, then moving to smaller then staying put, it just got too much plus i was trying to look after my mum, who is very well and only 63 but isnt coping with the death of my s dad, doc alterd some tablets of mine, so only very rarely do i feel low, and if i do its only lack of sleep, so im very lucky.

Huia Report 11 Apr 2012 22:40

Hello all. Just popping in to let Mo know that I am still in one piece. I will be visiting Phil after lunch, and then having a meeting with the people there who will tell me how Phil is! Well, they give me a doc's report and that sort of thing. It happens every 6 months I think.

Huia.

Sallie

Sallie Report 11 Apr 2012 21:48

Mo, yes Alun has been rubbing some deep heat onto my back for me and I must say it certainly helps with the pain.
I know quite a few people that have had the same virus and have taken a long time to feel really better again.

Ann, hope T will get use to his new teeth soon. Years ago one of my uncles could wear his teeth all day but would always take them out to eat his food.lol!! How on earth he managed to do that, I don't know.

Puss, thanks for letting us know about your scan. Try not to worry about the results as I'm sure that they will be OK.

Well girls I'll say goodnight now , speak to you all again tomorrow.

Love, Sallie.xxx

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 11 Apr 2012 21:18

Puss, fingers crossed for good results then.

Mo T is having a bit of trouble getting used to the teeth, He had a bit ground off yesterday and they seem much better today. His gums are sore of course so it won't be comfortable until they heal, but he is persevering.
