Hi girls hope you are all ok. I am better than yesterday, my legs hurt though and I can hardly walk on them, bl***y cancer. It was a lovely day this morning then the rain came this afternoon, oh it came down in stair rods, it's stopped now and everything smells nice and fresh.
Sally it's lovely to see you writing again and knowing you are feeling better.
Yes it was very kind of the dentist, Darwood Hussain to bring us home, but he is like that, a very nice man.
We are going to have a take out curry for tea, really looking forward to it, come to think of it I haven't had anything to eat today just forgot I suppose.. Hope you get your laptop back soon Jean then we can natter every day as per usual, I have missed it.
Well, I suppose I had better look at the threads and see what I'm missing.

Hello girls,

Marie, lovely to see you posting and glad to hear that you and your family are all OK.

I'm afraid I'm not very interested in the Olympics or any sport at all.....I'm a right misery as far as any kind of sport is concerned.lol!!
I'm sure Alun will watch most of it though.

Over the last 9 to 10 days I have started to feel a bit better, I am having to make myself do things each day, but it's very slow going.

I see the therapist again on Wednesday after a five week break, she thought that there was too much pressure on me and that I needed a break.....I must say that she was right, the break has helped and quite a few things have come to mind that I had pushed to the very back of my mind years ago. I shall have to wait and see what she says and thinks about it all on Wednesday. I feel a bit apprehensive about going back.

Caz, I'm pleased to hear that you are feeling better after the anibiotics. Sorry that you didn't feel well enough to be able to have your impression at the dentist....it was very kind of the dentist to drive you home in his car.

Linda, sounds as though you and OH had a lovely day out with your daughter and grandson.
Weather hasn't been too bad here today, but yesterday was awful, it rained all day until about 6 o-clock, a few roads around the town were flooded.....don't normally get that here.

Mo, we went to Derby this morning, we were there a lot longer than we usually are. I had my hair done, did a bit of food shopping and then Alun bought me a ring for my birthday. I don't normally bother much about jewellery but fancied this ring, so Alun made me have it, I think he's trying to make me feel a bit better.Bless him.lol!!

Ann, hope the weather is a bit better for you there today. I thought that they had given a bad day for us here, but so far it's OK...probably
get it all later on today.

Huia, I haven't seen you about for a few days, hope you are alright.

Jude, how you today. I see from Shaun's thread that you were going to watch the tennis.....hope you enjoyed it.

Joyce, if you are looking in, hope you are feeling a bit better and that the gout has at least improved.

Sylvia, hope you and OH are both OK. I know that your daughter and her family are coming to stay with you very soon, if they haven't already arrived. Enjoy having them stay with you.

Jean, hope your laptop will be fixed very soon....miss seeing you on here.

Well, I must go now, need to do a couple of things.

Take care everyone.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Going by the news tonight they seemed to think Fairford would still go ahead but I am sure there will be little or no flying. Such a shame as they raise a lot of money for charity. Although I think amny of the tickets are bought in advance.

LindainBerkshire1736004 Report 6 Jul 2012 21:28

Good evening ladies
Well it was raining this morning when I got up and rained all day til about 6 when Andy Murray won his match. I had done 2 machine loads of washing as yesterday started with rain but was a lovely day, we went to an NT property at Basildon Park near Pangbourne in Berkshire. Well it was lovely and we ate a picnic overlooking the Thames(in the distance) with our daughter and Grandson.
But today was a disaster, I have wet washing all over the place and I did tumble dry the towels. Maybe tomorrow will be better??
Caz I am pleased to see you adding and that you lost weight and the specialist gave you good news and the dentist was kind too.
Our weekend has been rained out I fear the staem traction engine rally near High Wycombe is definately cancelled, the Fairford Air Tatoo will be too wet I fear and Silverstone looks bad for those already paid up for entry. Good old English Summer.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend despite the forecast

Well it started raining at 11.30 this morning and has not stopped since, our patio is rivalling the water feature.

We actually went out and bought IPads this morning as they will be lighter to carry around with us on holiday.

No plans for tomorrow as the forecast is dire.

Can, glad you got the dentist trip sorted and how kind of him to run you home.

Mo, lucky you to have had good weather this afternoon, I have a load of washing needing doing, goodness knows when it will get done. we don't have a tumble drier.

Hi Mo, I never usually need any work doing on my own teeth but I have a plate with a few on and for some reason it has got loose. I needed to have another impression doing, but, with not feeling well I didn't think I could sit there for half an hour with a mouthful of gunge while the impression set. I needed my plate relining.
Well at least it has stopped raining for the time being but is getting a bit foggy.
I don't change the bed, my OH does, I cant stand to do it, then he goes down to the laundy room to wash them, he's a good un.
I will be speaking to Dutch tomorrow, a nice long chat, she gave me a quick ring last night and sounds ok.
It's nice to se Jude back, hope you are ok Jude.
Time for a cuppa so see you all later.

Caz, wonderful news at the clinic, I'm so pleased for you. Also pleased to hear that you are feeling much better, a bit of good news really makes us feel better.

Jude, great to see you post on here again, I've really missed you on here and Shaun's thread.

Mo, 22 again, I wish! lol!! Still it's a nice thought though to be able to do now, what I was able to do at 22.....but I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that.lol!!

I love your idea of telling Roly that the new clothes you bought were from the charity shop.lolol!!

Ann, sorry that you have problems with your back, hope it will soon get better.

Lorraine, like Jude, I'm wondering who the young man is that's staying the weekend. Sorry, we're a nosy lot, aren't we? lol!! Anyway, enjoy your weekend.

Joyce's voice is back to normal, so she was able to talk as usual.lol!! She said she is feeling a lot better except for still suffering from gout, which is very painful.

Well, goodnight everyone, speak to you all soon.

Take care.

Cooee Caz, here I am,better late than never.
I am sooo pleased for you my love, this is such good news. I will have everything crossed for you at your next appointment.
Blimey seven kilo's is a lot to lose honey, I bet you look at yourself in the morror, and say who the flippin eck is that staring back at me.
Not a nice way to lose weight though, but now you are a skinny minnie, you will need nice new clothes to wear. ( shush dont tell him indoors, it will frighten the life out of him)
I am dead crafty, I buy things when I go out alone, and hide them in my wardrobe.
When I wear them, I tell Roly I have bought them from the charity shop, and he thinks about how much money I have saved him. lol ;-)
I hope your eye test goes well tomorrow. And I am really pleased you are feeling better as well.

Ann, what the devil have you been up to, to do your back in like that. I do hope you and T have not been misbehaving lol.
It's so easily done though isn't it, you sometimes only have to get up awkwardly from a chair to put it out.
Get T to give you a good rub down with some linament. You might pong a bit, but it could help.

Sallie, the steroid injections will definately help Jennie's knee. I bet it hurt when they drained the fluid off though.
It's so much better that she can just ring the hospital for an urgent appointment, rather than having to go through the whole rigamarole of seeing the doctor first and getting a referal.
Are you doing anything special for your birthday on Monday.....Oooops I am not supposed to know that, even though you have just spoken about it.
Still a spring chicken arn't you sweetie, 22 next birthday girls, that what our Sallie is.

Lorraine, you are going to be a busy lady this weekend. What with your daughter coming home, plus the little lady and her brother hopefully.
Will you be out selling your bracelets on Sunday again?

Going to get ready for bed now girls. So I will say goodnight god bless. Love Mo xxx

Oh heck, I have spent ages writing a long piece and have just lost it, it just vanished, never mind I will do it again tomorrow. I am due for my eyes testingearly tomorrow morning, with having the mini stroke and losing some sight in left eye I have to have it done regularly and it's one of those things I just don't like.
Oh is doing supper and it's nearly ready so will see you all tomorrow. No Mo I wonder where she is, unless she is away and I missed it.

No, much as I would like to lose weight I don't want to do it by being ill. I hope you can go back to feeling well and eating again. I shall certainly have a hot soak later on. Thanks for the sympathy.

YorkshireCaz

YorkshireCaz Report 4 Jul 2012 16:31

Oh Ann I sympathyse with you with your back, there's nothing worse and it makes you feel miserable when it goes on. A nice hot soak in the bath will help it, trouble for us is we only have a shower in here, I do miss my bath though.
Hope your back gets better soon.
The weight loss was with being poorly so don't want to lose any that way again, lol.

Caz, well done, those are fantastic results, no wonder you are feeling upbeat, surprising how different these things make us feel. and Well done for losing the weight.

today I am sympathising with your back pain as I seem to have strained mine. Some years ago I had a really bad back but for a couple of years have had no problem with it. I don't know what I did to mine yesterday but was in agony with it yesterday evening and had a job getting to sleep last night. It was a bit better tis morning but has stiffened up again now. Trying not to spend too much time on here so visiting for a few minutes at a time.

Glad your kidney is ok too, let's hope that has kicked it into touch. :-)
