Mo in Kent Report 5 Aug 2012 18:43

Hello my little lovelies, how are we all today.

Marie, thank you for the E.mails, they have cheered me up no end.
I am sorry to hear about your S.I.L, but feel sure she will be fit and well again after her chemo.
No doubt she is feeling very sore at the moment, but with time she will start her recouperation and be back to her usual self. As Sylvia has done thank the lord.
How are the family and grandchildren doing now?
And I have to ask you, hows the garden and are the veggies growing now after the disaster earlier in the year.?

Jean, have a wee break from your crafting, but knowing how much you do enjoy it, and how good you are at it, as Ann has said, during the winter months you may end up feeling bored, and knowing how much cards cost now, will be tempted to resume doing it.

Oh good grief Lorraine, I bet it was painful the cyst bursting like that.
I had to laugh at you thinking that Roly was a bunny rabbit, more like Roland rat if you ask me. lol ;-) He has been called that so many times it's unreal.

Thank you all for thinking of Roly. Bless him, the medication now seems to be through his system, and he is feeling loads better.
I just cant believe that the pharmacy gave him three different generic tablets, instead of one brand for his postrate, in his last repeat prescription, no wonder it upset his system. There were three types in one box, all mixed and muddled.
We asked for it to be put on his history on the pharmacy computer, that he is unable to take certain brands.
But believe you me, next time he gets his meds, I will check all the tablets, before I leave the shop, and will refuse to leave till we get the correct one.
I can't be having him being so unwell, it makes it hard work for me playing nurse. lol

Caz, I hope you are being able to get some rest lovely lady.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Thinking of you Caz, and keeping our chain of love and thoughts going, prayers are being said for you Caz, stay strong.

Well girls, my next great grandchild is due in February. Naughty girl didn't even tell her mum she was going for a scan, but put it on Face Book instead.
How hurtful is that for her mum.

I must go now, time for tea. Take care everyone, love to you all. Mo xxx

Wow Ann great minds and all that, I had posted on the scrapbook thread before looking on here and more or less decided to do just that....lol... its not the family saying anything its just how I feel at the moment, its mostly my age and my lifestyle, wish I was like you I loved walking but alas the legs wont do it for long, also the holidays have had to be reassesed since Jeffs hospital visit.... changes things, so we must compromise and do what he and I will be comfortable with....I really appreciate all the good advice you give me and will put it to good use...
love Jean xx

love as always to everyone else and hope Jennie is feeling better <3 <3 <3 <3

AnninGlos Report 5 Aug 2012 09:56

Jean, like other big decisions in life your is worth sitting on for a while. Pack your stuff up by all means and have some days out, leave it a month or so but don't get rid of it (didn't you do that once before then have to start over?) You may find, after the end of the summer (such as it is) and with the onset of darker days, that you need something to do. If at the end of a couple of months you still feel the same, then get rid of it. or maybe stop making cards and do a couple od scrap book pages every so often using all the photos you have stashed away somewhere. Giving up completely sounds a very 'gut reaction' from you so maybe the family have suggested it in which case, only you can decide. Just want to be sure that you are sure.

Marie, lovly to hear from you but I am so sorry to hear about your SiL, I am sure that after the chemo she will recoer and feel better. Meanwhile I snd her my thoughts and prayers <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

And <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Caz.

Marie, its lovely hearing from you, hope you are well and also your family,
I am sad to hear about your s.i.l but once the chemo takes effect I feeel sure she will be fine, this cancer that touches so many peoples lives is a curse on our world... but more and more people are coming through in a positive way, so sending love and prayers for your s.i.l. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I was looking at some of the pics you sent me a long time ago of your grandchildren , I bet they are all grown up now, what age are they now?
now my dear friend what about you, what are you up to these days,
Jeff and I are plodding along ,He is well although he still thinks he should be doing what he did at 30years of age....lol.... I am dropping to bits overweight, dodgy eyes, cant walk far, the mind is very willing but the body is certainly weak or should it be the other way round.....lol...never mind we keep going along ..... thanks for adding to our lovely Caz,s chain of love she will be touched by it....take care Marie look forward to hear more of your news. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I am thinking of giving up crafting , I spend far too much time and money doing it, also it would be nice to have our little conservatory back as it should be, and used for relaxing....but the thoughts of clearing all the craft stuff out is making me quake. I have so much, not sure how to thin it all out, and off load quite a lot... Ann has suggested I keep some stock and try cut right back on the time I spend in there, its a good idea , but I am so involved with it all I dont think that would work....I just want to spend more time with Jeff and maybe do more trips out, our lifestyle has changed somewhat since we had such a scare, now we both feel every day is a bonus and blessing....so my friends any ideas will be gratefully recieved.....lol.......
love to one and all take care and keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
for my lovely Caz extra love and prayers <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

sorry to hear that Roly is poorly. I am strange, when T has stomach bugs ets it alwys puts me off eating as well. I hope Roly is better soon.

Sorry Ann, I missed your posting by seconds. Have you got anything exciting planned for the weekend?

I have got one poorly bunny here at home. Roly has had a bad belly for a couple of days now, and when I do my dinner soon, I shall have to eat it in the dining room, as I feel so guilty eating in front of him . Bless his little cotton socks.

I can't believe that a few weeks back we went shopping for a suit for T and went into the M&S outlet shop in Glos and immediately found a suit in dark grey like he wanted that fits him, all in about 30 minutes!!!!

Joyce, I wish we still had C+A's over here. It would make things far easier having everything under one roof.
If we want to buy certain things we go to Matalan, but for trousers for Roly, he has to buy them from a certain catalogue, and then I still have to shorten them for him.
We both suffer from ducks disease now, and scrape our BTM's on the kerbs when we step off them. lol ;-)
But just think Joyce, now he has got the new gear, he wont need to buy them again for a while. That will save on your legs for you honey.
I have still got to shorten my dress for the wedding. My neighbour is going to pop in next week and pin it up for me. It's not the sort of thing you can do whilst wearing it is it. Otherwise it will end up all wonky donkey knowing my luck.
Trying to buy the cotton was funny as well, getting the right shade was a nightmare, but as it's going to be right at the bottom of the dress, it wont show to much fortunately.
I must remember to send my letter to Sheila tomorrow, I am getting so forgetful lately.

Hi Jeni, good to see you on here lovey, you know you are welcome to chat to us at any time.

Lorraine how did your op go? Were they able to sort anything out for you.

Jean you cheeky little imp, I don't need a tot or two, I need a bottle or two to get me through. lol
And a woman of my tender age ahem 25, has got broad shoulders, and can take the strain, even though it doesn't seem like it.
The trouble is, these broad shoulders are starting to make me stoop even more these days, I can spot a five pence piece a mile away.

Jude thanks for letting us know that Puss was home safetly. Hows the new Mum to be coping? is she suffering from morning sickness at all. I certainly don't envy her that, and I was always grateful when it passed.

Sallie, S managed to get a couple of dresses last night. The only trouble is, that the one for my ten year old grandaughter, I don't think will fit her, as she bought one for the age of an 8 year old.
She said that the body size is correct, but the length may be wrong, and will probably be about two inches above her knees.
Knowing Courtney, she will complain that it's to short, and that will put the cat amongst the pigeons, as S has been pulling her hair out over these darned dresses.

Ann, how did it go at the dentists today? Were your legs strong enough to carry you inside, and do you need any treatment done.

Caz my love, what can I say to you, except, stay strong and beat the bu**er, coz we all want you to do it. ( Selfish I know, but I feel so strongly about this damned Cancer)

Joyce, I was soo pleased that Roly could still fit into his suit for our son's wedding at the end of the month.
He had only worn it once, and that was at our 40th wedding blessing, back in2004.
I got him a new shirt and tie, and thats him sorted thank goodness.
I dread to think what would have happened if we had had to get him a new suit as well.
He's a fuuny size now, and we would never have been able to get one off the peg as we once could.
Like all of us, he has shrunk so much that his inside leg is now only a twenty six and a half, and I have to shorten all his trousers for them to fit him properly.

Well girls, I will say goodnight god bless. Take care everyone. Love Mo xxx

You are not alone ith not being able to stay on for long Caz, and they are aware, see the locked post at the top. Hopefully they are going to come up with a solution.
Did you get a card from me? I dn't trust the post these days, so many things go astray. No wonder, a couple of days ago we had a letter addressed to somebody in the next rad, completely different name and number. I chased after postie and he just said 'Oh ta for that'. Quite unconcerned, no apology.

Hi girls and welcome to the thread Jean, I do take one day at a time, we never know whats round the next corner do we.
I went to the cancer clinic yesterday and she wants me to go back on chemo, the tablets, as she said it is showing signs of being re-activated, my platelets are very low. I can't remember what else she said because she talked a lot. I am seeing her again next week but have to go for a blood test just before, hope my platelets don't drop any lower.
Ann, the brave one here is you, going to the dentist is something I hate and would never go if I could get away with it.
Does anyone else get jumpy legs, I have had them three days and nights now solid, I am so tired as I can't sleep for them and am wandering between kitchen and bedroom drinking tea, which is where I am going soon, cup of tea and a couple of rich tea biscuits.
What do you think of the new setup on here, I find it very difficult to read so are not on for long.
Going for a drink.
