Hello ladies, nice to see you are still alive and kicking. I was getting a bit worried and lonesome here.

Only 3 other people turned up from the photographic club. I was disappointed as I had hoped to get to know them all and see how they operate in the field. I did take some photos, but nothing special.

I was busy last week with our Hospice shop as we have a half price sale, so I went in most days to help. This is our last week in that shop and it is still half price but I am having a day off today. Not sure if I will go in tomorrow. If things get very busy the boss can ring me if I am not on the internet, but she can expect to wait 45 mins for me to arrive, as I would have to change out of my scruffy house clothes and lock up and drive in to town. I must hunt out some more plastic bags as we keep running out of the supermarket size ones, also larger ones as some people buy heaps of clothes.

Dont go Sallie, we need you and your input love. Yep I know I am being a selfish little moo, but we have been friends for so many years now, and for selfish reasons I dont want you to go. SO PURLEEZE STAY, and post when you feel up to it.

Sooo our Jean, I am absent for a few days, and you go on holiday, now come on pray tell me, do I need to change me deodorant or what. lol
Oh I did miss you when you lapsed your membership that time, just knowing you were there was a god send love, and I am so grateful for your friendship, and help you have given me over the last few years.
You are always there for us all, allowing us to bend your ears when needed, so thank you my dear friend.

I agree with you Ann, this site is well worth the money, getting all the support from others at times when it's needed, and for what it costs it's good value. I find I can speak about my problems, knowing that I am not going to have to face anyone the next day, if I should so choose.
And yes at times, on other threads, it can become a bit volatile, but we are all very amiable on here, thank the lord.

Huia, did you take photo's at the botanic gardens? If you did, will I find them on F.B, if so I will have to check them out. I hope the rain held off for you to enjoy the gardens.
How was Phil when you visited him on friday love.
Have you been buying much at the hospice shop lately?

Nothing has changed here I'm afraid to say, but you know me, shrug it off and carry on as normal as possible. Paint a smile on my face, and grin like a cheshire cat at all who I meet, whilst covering the heartbreak inside. Hey ho thats life isn't it.

I hope that Caz is bearing up. Sending her.....

Sallie, you can't leave, you will miss us surely? I consider it well worth the money for the friends I have on here and the support they give.
Weather here in this part of Dorset has not been too bad, the weekend was glorious and yesterday and today, although very windy, have been dry and bright with some sunny spells when it is quite warm.
Jean goes away this coming weekend. :-)

My membership on here finishes on Saturday, so not sure whether to renew or not. I don't seem to come on GR very these days so wondering if it will be worth it.

Where is everybody? It has been a couple of days since I posted. On Friday I visited Phil in the morning then returned to Papakura to have lunch and helped in the Hospice shop in the afternoon. Yesterday I just messed around at home. Today the photography club I joined at the beginning of the month is having an outing to the Botanic Gardens at Manurewa after lunch so I will be going too. I just hope it isnt too wet or windy. Yesterday was a shocker. It is drizzling here at present.

I picked up the other gt gran and we went to Hamilton. M is standing up, briefly, and sort of walking while holding on to things, but it shouldnt be long now. His grandmother walked at 11 months and his mother at 9 months. He is now 8 and a bit months old. I am a bit tired after my big day out. It takes about 90 mins to drive there. There was a bit of a frost this morning and a beautiful sunny day, although the clouds were starting to arrive this afternoon. Not sure what it will be like tomorrow.

Hello girls, just popping in to let you know that I am still around.

Big hugs for your gt grandson Huia,I bet you will see a big difference in him.

I hope you are all well, and coping with the big change in our weather here in the U.K.
No doubt our Sylvia, Huia and Marie are all starting to get better weather now, lucky things.

No change here I'm afraid, still feeling like I have been hit with a sledge hammer. Most of the family are starting to meld together, but the eldest is still holding a big grudge, and it's very upsetting.

Take care everyone, love and hugs to you all. Mo xxx

Hi everyone,

Mo, it's nice to see you post, even though your ' heart ' isn't in it at the moment. I understand and I know it isn't easy. Yes as you said, we are fine pair at the moment......if only ' the black dog ' would move out it would make things a little bit easier.

To me there always seems to be problems with families, when we get over one another one starts.lol!! Richard and Christie split up two weeks ago but Richard didn't tell us until Monday night. They would have been together four years at the end of October. So now I'm worrying about him, if he's upset or hurt about anything he doesn't show it and just trys to carry on as normal. I use to be the same when I was younger, but have had to change from doing that.

I hope that Lilly is a lot better and that the doctors now have at least some idea of what her problem was.

Jean, hope everything is going along ok with you and your family.

Sorry to hear that Caz still can't get on here, let's hope that they will soon be able to find out what the problem is. Would you please give her my love and best wishes when you next speak to her.

It's nice that P has been able to take her out a couple of times, I'm sure it must have helped to break up the days for Caz.

Huia, hope you are able to find some time soon so that you can visit your grt grandson.

Good luck with your head shave! I must have missed your post telling us about it as I didn't realise until now that you were doing it.

Hope things are going along alright with Phil and that sometimes he is still able to respond even a small bit, when you visit him.

Hello, to Sylvia, Ann, Lorraine, Joyce, Linda, Jude and Liz. Hope you are all OK. Sorry if I have missed anyone, my memory isn't as good as it use to be.lol!!

Speak to you all soon.

Take care.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Hi there everybody.

I have been keeping very busy, going out most days last week and my son came up at the weekend. I was in the shop yesterday afternoon and it was very busy as we have a half price sale on this week so I might go in again this afternoon.

One of the marketing women from the Hospice came into the shop yesterday to meet me and talk a little about my head shave. It wont be happening until late next month. They are setting up a new website, Angels for Hospice (will let you know later how to see it) for people who are fund-raising, and I will have my own page. All I need now is wings and a halo! The website was thought of before I made my offer, so it isnt because of me.

I also want to find time this week or next to visit Hamilton to see my gt grandson again. He could be walking soon.

Better get moving, lots to do.

Huia.

Hello my good friends,
Jean thank you so much for the booklet,it's much appreciated I can assure you.
Things are still not right in the family, and both Roly and myself have been very depressed over the situation, BUT, life has to go on, and so shall we regardless what family members think.

Is there any news on Caz please. I have been worried about her. I know she has not been able to get on here, but was worried how she is health wise.

Good to hear from you Sallie. We make a fine pair at the moment, the old black dog has a lot to answer for.
Still onwards and upwards my friend.

I hope you are all well. Sending you all my love. Mo xxx

Hello everyone,

It's very quiet on here, hope that you are all alright. Sorry I haven't been on for a few days, I'm afraid it's the usual problem but I've also managed to make Christmas cards. Card making seems to be the only thing I seem to be able to concentrate on for short periods at the moment.

Mo, really miss you on here, I hope that you are managing to to get things sorted out betwwen you and your family, especially your daughter. I am thinking about you.

Jean, thanks for the information about both Mo and Caz. I hope that thinks will get sorted for both of them.

I'm glad that you have managed to make all the Christmas cards you need to make. Have you decided yet if you are going to stop making any more cards?

I have managed to make forty Christmas cards over the last few weeks......at the moment I can only concentration to make them for short periods of time, I'm not sure that I will be able to keep that up though.lol!! Just hope things will get better.

Hope things are alright with both Jeff and Debra.

Ann, sorry I didn't realise that you and T had been away for a couple of days. Although I haven't posted on GR for a few days, I had noticed that you hadn't been on for a few days. I thought you were at your grandson's wedding.
I'm glad that you both enjoyed yourselves. It's a long while since we were in Bristol, the last time Alun and I went there was two years ago to my cousin's funeral. We use to go fairly often at one time with having family living there......never seem to have the time now, which is a shame.

Lorraine, sounds like a good idea, putting names like mum, sister etc., into the bracelets......I'm sure that quite a few people will buy them for Christmas pressies.

I hope you are feeling a lot better now and that all is well in your family.

Sylvia, thanks for the information about the cabin, it looks really lovely on the photograph. Let's hope that you will be able to sell it before too long.

Hope all goes well with OH's cataract operation on October. As you say he won't be able to drive for a few days, if you are like me, it's at times like these that wish I could drive too.lol!!

Huia, I haven't seen you on here for a while, I hope that you are alright.

Linda, I've been wondering where you were, I read your post on the Friendly thread, it sounds as though you have been really busy.

I'm sure that you are looking forward to having your cousin from Canada stay with you in October. It will be nice to have the family all together.

Marie, we haven't heard from you for a while, I hope everything is OK with you and your family.

Joyce, Jude and Liz, I know the three of you don't come on here often, so hope that you are all well. I hope I haven't missed anyone out.

Caz, sending you love and positive thoughts, hope that you are responding to the treatment and that you will soon feel a lot better.

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Mo, really hope that things will get sorted for you very soon, so sending you love and lots of positive thoughts too.

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I must go now, so will speak to you all soon.

Take care everyone.
