Nice to see you on here again Jean (Jeniwren). Hope you get moving with the crochet more quickly than I have so far, too caught up with making cards, but that is no excuse is it?

Well, yesterday we got to the hospital early for my 4.35 appointment, have to go early because we go by bus and there are several lots of road works with traffic lights. Strange to be going out at that time of night rather than going home! And, of course, the bus was full of school children going home too so quite noisy.

Anyway, as usual the appointments were running late so I didn't go in until 5.05pm. And then it seems he had only been given 5 minute follow up appointments so he was feeling the pressure a bit. He is very nice and very kind and refuses to be rushed but apologises for keeping you waiting. (actually he thanked me for my patience!).

So, this time no cutting out of the little so and sos, next time he has told me he is going to scrape (sounds lovely doesn't it?) two of them on my back, and do a small biopsy ( a puncture hole apparently -had it done before) on my thigh. He thinks two of them on my thigh (there are 3) are dormant but I don't agree so he will be watching them. He wants another appointment for me before we go away end April. But that is in the hands of the booking office so who knows?

Anyway, as I'd had nothing done we walked on into town. (saw the starlings going to roost, a wonderful sight), and had a curry in Wetherspoons. Usually quite quiet in there at that time (about 5.30) but there were a group of 20+ year old males in there making a heck of a noise, obviously well oiled by the time we got there. staff were watching them but they are all so young, I wonder how they cope if there is trouble. we were home by 6.45.

While walking into town we saw a car clamped, in a two hour rodside parking slot, with the young girl driver taking stuff out of the glove compartment. The clamp had DVLA on it. Never seen that before in town sow e were left wondering why it was clamped and didn't just have a ticket. Thought maybe no insurance when the number was checked.

Anyway dry here so far and OH has gone to golf so better get myself some breakfast. :-) :-)

Hello, does anyone have any good news to share? just been watching the news, it all seems doom and gloom.
I must be mad, have decided I would like to learn to crochet, I knit and sew but have never mastered crochet, so am going to buy a book on 'how to crochet' and have a go.......it could involve some very bad language lol.
Jean, how is Charlie, have you had your cuddles yet?
Am going to have a cuppa now then it will be time to go shopping.
Take care and stay safe........and be good.
Jean xx :-D :-D :-D

Mo, as I live in the country with plenty of scrub and bush around the professional exterminators would have a difficult job to get rid of all the rats. It would require constant laying of rat poison in bait stations, such as Phil and I were helping to do in the bush around one of the dams. Even then, I doubt if all the rats have gone. More would probably move in from surrounding areas.

I am going to town today (didnt go yesterday) to visit Phil and do some shopping.

Oh for goodness sake Huia, not again.
I believe I have said it before, you make them there rats to welcome, they get bed, fed,and are quite comfortable in your home.
I bet you were shocked when you saw it though love, especially as you thought they had gone and deserted you, but they left their fleas to give you a reminder that they would be coming back to visit again.
Sorry my love, you know I am only teasing you, BUT, I do feel for you my love, as it's been a never ending battle for you hasn't it.
Poor puss will be walking round with it's tongue hanging out, wearing a placard saying "PLEASE FEED ME,NOT THE RATS" they get enough as it is. :-( :-( :-( Bless you Huia, you have really tried haven't you. I think it's time you got the professionals in, to EXTERMINATE the blighters.

Cooo, it's really windy outside today, I nearly got blown away up town today.
It was funny to see a stand with sales people ,trying to get customers to swap providers for their gas and electric, get nearly blown down. The satff were last seen trying to catch it, as it flew down the shopping precinct lol

Bye for now, be back later. Love Mo xxx

I have just seen a rat in the foyer by the cat's dish of biscuits. Not wonder they have been going down. I just thought she was very hungry and I was going to go to town to get more, if the shops are open (Waitangi Day). I have set another rat trap in the foyer. It must have come in through the front door which is open at present. I wish I could get rid of all rats or find a way to feed the cat without attracting the rats. I wont be able to leave her food out overnight or when I am out. :-|

Hi Jeni, you will have to excuse our Jean, she has a tendancy to post things twice, just as Marie did earlier. But then it's being amongst us mad ones that does it, doesn't it girls.
Please please pop back often and chat with us, and before you know it, you could be as crazy as the rest of us. ;-) ;-) ;-) it's great being here in the mad house.

Oooh Jean, you can cuddle up to little man tonight, if you are good that is lol
If it does snow, don't forget to put yer gloves on tomorrow, when you build that snowman.
Have you got your carrot for the nose, and coal for the eyes. Or do you use stones for the eyes ooop north love.
Iv'e got my witches broomstick if you need it, (instead of twigs for arms I mean) it does come in handy for when I have my funny half hours :-D :-D :-D

Well my lovelies, I will say cheers for now me dears, speak to you tomorrow, god willing. Love Mo xxx

CONGRATULATIONS, Jean and J,on the birth of baby Charlie.
There was no way I could get on here yesterday, to see if there was any news of baby's birth, and I was sweating and swearing when I didn't know what the outcome had been.
He was a very good weight Jean, compared to young Zoey at 6lb 3oz.
Roly took our grandaughter, and the baby to register her birth today. Dont laugh, the registrar thought that Roly was the daddy at first, but my grandaughter soon put her straight. :-) :-) :-)
J.L didn't want the fathers name on the cert, as she doesn't want him to have anything to do with little one.
This, as we all know, could cause problems for future generations, but the father is a nasty piece of work, and has caused J.L many bruises in the past.

Sorry to hear that snow has hit many of you again....but at the moment, we have got lovely clear blue skies, and the sun is shining, even though it is still cold outside.
I just hope and pray we dont get up in the morning to a carpet of the white stuff outside.

Jean, I hope the doctor can sort you out as soon as possible, we can't have you spending all night ruining your eyes on here love.
It's bad enough being woken by having to spend the inevitable penny, but restless legs syndrome is a real nightmare for any sufferers.

Marie, many thanks for the photo's of the flooding. What a nightmare for everyone involved.
I love the photo of your mum in your avatar, she looks very much like a lady enjoying a day the races. Very elegant, it shows how much you are like her.

Must go now girls, take care. Love Mo xxx

Thank you Marie,I am just making a special card for the little man,.... I am going to the doctors later today , I took the tablets he gave me last time, but I seem to have had a reaction to them last night, according to the leaflet inside the box, a rash on my chest , my right leg swelled up from the knee down and I had terrible sweats during the night so much so I had to lie on top if the bed, and its not very warm here...I still have the rash but the swelling is a lot better, I will see about your tip.anything that will help calm the pain down....well i hope to go to the docs, but it is snowing again quite heavily now....if it keeps coming I wont be going.....take care hope the dentist isnt to costly,

Hello to you all,
Just in time to wish Mo &Jean congratulations on the birth of their gt grandchildren :-D

Jean I have been suffering from leg cramps and I was told to buy some Magnesium Powder I got it at the Supermarket and I take it at night before I go to bed, It helps to relax the muscles in the legs.I took it for several weeks and it definitely worked.

There has been no word from my son Sean or Nancy so she will probably go full time which is the 14th. Saint Valentines Day.

We are having some very pleasant weather, we had some nice soaking rain last week and it has been cooler since, however the forecast is for warmer weather in the coming days , the rain filled our tanks so I am happy as I can now water the garden without feeling Guilty :-(

I am off to the dentist tomorrow as I need a crown put on one of my teeth it
is a long drawn out affair I will have to go back on the 27th of February for more work on it.and it is costly.

I am feeling tired to-night as I did a good deal to-day including an hour at the Gym.
.
I will say good night to you all
<3 Love and hugs to you all :-) <3 The profile photo is of my Mother Eliza Zackeresen Nee Hayward aged 24

Congratulations Jean on the arrival of great grandson Charlie, and congrats too to D and the baby's parents. Hope all are well.

Sorry that your legs are playing up, were you maybe sitting too long yesterday or have you eaten, drank anything different to affect them? I hope you can get it sorted. Usually swelling goes down when you are in bed so it needs looking into. <3
