Hi Jean, you need to try and walk or you could get a DVT if you sit too much. It sounds like patience is the clue, the antiBs will take time to work. I hope that you will soon start to get some energy back. Are you making sure you eat OK? Sending you a ((((((hug)))))).

Been to Evesham Country park today, T's leg is playing up and it rained first thing so he didn't play golf, so then he is bored and we have to 'do something'. We stopped at Blooms in Cheltenham for coffee then drove to Evesham, had a little walk into the country park and picked some blackberries, then into the garden centre for Seniors lunch, chicken and mushroom fricasee followed by sticky toffee pudding (me) and apple crumble (T). Spent son's £20 worth of birthday vouchers on, amongst other things, a photo frame for Luke's photo, a scented diffuser for the bathroom and a pair of legging type trousers, black for Tenerife evenings. T bought another solar light for the garden. then went into the little knitting/crafty shop and they had Christmas peel offs half price, then into leading labels and bought a T shirt and T a shirt. Came home via Tewkesbury, a nice ride in the sunshine. Once the rain stopped about 11 it has been lovely here today, so a good day out. <3

Hi everyone,we went to the docs and he said the infection is clearing very well, I took J in with me as I had a problem walking even with my stick ..... it seems antibiotics can sap your energy , didnt have much before...... so I now have to try and get out more and walk a bit each day, I have to have some blood tests in a few weeks time , but he did say even though you finish the biotics it takes a week or so for your system to build up again, so we shall have to be patient..... still havent sorted storage for my smalll stash of craft stuff, just cant be bothered at the moment , but dont give up hope... :-D :-D

Hi Sallie, he will scrape (ugh) the one on my thigh in October after our holiday. So it was just a chat today, in and out in 10 minutes.

I wish we had an independent craft shop here.

Sallie Report 15 Aug 2013 16:10

Hi girls, just having a quick look in to see if we have heard from Jean, hope all went well for her at the doctors this morning......hope that the doc has given her some different antibiotics. Will look in again later on.

Ann, also hope all goes well for you at the hospital today. If some of the rodent ulcers have to be removed let's hope that it will be after your holiday.

You are wecome Ann, we went to Derby this morning and bought yet another die.
She has so many makes of dies and embossing folders there, it is difficult to keep away from there.lol!!!

Mo, also hope that the results of your blood test are good. Just hope that it won't be too long before you have your hospital appointment through, the sooner the better so that it will be sorted one way or another for you. It's awful waiting and wondering.

As Ann said, we'll have you card making yet. Trouble is, once you start you become addicted to it.lol!!!

I'll look in later to see how you all got on at your different appointments.

Love, Sallie

Good luck Ann, fingers crossed for you love, whatever way they decide to treat them there rodent ulcers,(nasty little blighters), they seem to plague the life out of you dont they.
Will speak to you later, in the hopes that you are not in to much pain.

I forgot, Our Jean is due back at the doctors today, I wonder how she got on. Lets hope the doc sorts her out pretty darn quick, she doesn't deserve to be unwell yet again, bless her lickle cotton socks, she is soooo lovely.

AnninGlos Report 15 Aug 2013 15:11

Just about to go to the hospital for a follow up appointment for the rodent ulcers. Don't look forward to it as I never know what he will do, will he cut or will he not cut?? Not that it is really painful but it is the inconvenience of the stitches and having to have them removed after 10 days. This time it is a bit too close to our holiday for comfort.

Thanks for the info Sallie.

Mo we'll have you card making one day!! :-D

Mo in Kent Report 14 Aug 2013 22:16

No problem Ann, listening to the things yourself, Sallie and Jean talk about, re your card making is fascinating to me, what with big shots, dies etc, the mind boggles.

Good to hear from you our Sallie, it's nice to know you have been a busy bee, just like Huia has been recently.
I am supposed to see the specialist again, before the end of September Sallie, so fingers crossed all will be well.
Thank the lord, I am not in any pain with it. It's daft, but I get a pain from the ovary mid way through the month, just as if I am ovulating, even though that all finished 15 years ago. You never know, perhaps I am going in reverse, and will go back to the dreaded monthlies. LOL ;-) ;-) ;-) (Oh crumbs thats something I would not look forward to.)

Got to see the nurse tomorrow, for the results of my blood tests, to check my cholesterol etc. It's all go isn't it.
Got to get ready for bed now, so I will say goodnight god bless. Love to all, Mo xxx

Hi Ann, only just seen your post, been busy making a couple of special Christmas cards.

Glad you liked your card, I used the Marianne Craftable die, there's a number on the package which is CR1239, I've also got the oval one which is nice too. I bought mine from one of the craft shops in Derby, but you can get them online from Crafts U Love.

Hope everyone else is okay, try and get on here a bit earlier tomorrow.

Take care everyone.

Sallie I was wondering where you were. Yes 53 years on the 27th love him, limp and all :-D

Your card was very pretty, can you tell me what die you used to cut the circular aperture with the lacy surround, I had not seen that one. Daughter has some of the Stephanie Weightman dies and they do look good. I bought the peacock to try. I have got lazy about cutting dies lately because the Big shot is not set up permanently. But will have to have a day at it. Still have problems sticking them I use tacky glue with a fairly fine hole but it does dry up quickly. These saort of queries should be on the craft thread, sorry everyone but Sallie might miss it if it was.

Sallie

Sallie Report 13 Aug 2013 23:42

Ann, a belated Happy Birthday to you, hope you've enjoyed your day. Pleased that you received our card ok.
Sorry that T is having probs with the muscle in his leg, hope it improves very soon.

I've been looking at the Stephanie Weightman dies in Hobbycraft, but I have spent quite a bit on some Marianne dies lately so I will have to wait for one of those dies.

Jean, sorry to know that you are still feeling poorly. Maybe you need a different antibiotic, I know some don't work as well as others. I can't take Erythromycin, the few times I have been prescribed it, I actually got a lot worse, not better.
Anyway hope your doctor will prescribe you something different and that you will soon get well.
Just read that you have a doctors appointment on Thursday morning, so will be thinking about you.

Mo, do you know how long you will have to wait before you see the specialist? Crossing my fingers and hoping that the cyst will have got a lot smaller or gone completely.

I haven't been on for a little while, what with having visitors, Alun being at home on holiday and making cards, the time has just gone by so quickly.

Sylvia, a belated Happy 46th Anniversary to you and OH. Hope you will both enjoy your trip to visit sister-in-law and that you will both enjoy your train journey home.
As you know, Alun and I also celebrate our 46th Wedding Anniversary on the 28th of the month. I just wonder where on earth all the years have gone as they seem to have flown by.
I'm sure that Ann and T celebrate their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on the 27th, the day before ours.
Also sending your OH Happy 75th Birthday wishes.

Marie lovely to hear from you. Sorry that you have been so poorly, hope that you are now on the road to recovery. Also hope that you will soon be able to move and that it all goes well.

Huia, you really are a very busy bee, as you said, it gets you out of the house. It's nice to meet and chat to people.

Well girls I had better get ready for bed, didn't realise that it was this late.

Goodnight everyone and take care.

Love, Sallie.xxx.

Oh how funny is this, Marie doesn't always have time to post, but gosh when she does, she goes overboard. I can't believe how many times it posted between 04.17 and 12.38 today LOL. What ya like Marie ((((((((HUGS))))))))
Sorry to hear you have been unwell Marie, but then you have had a lot of worry recently, and that probably caught up with you, and made your resistance so low.
How wonderful that your grandaughter has offered you the use of her unit. It takes a lot of worry off your shoulders Marie.
Does it have a nice garden that you can tend? knowing how much you enjoy your gardening, it would be a nice asset for you.
It's such good news about your daughter, and taking painkillers has got to be better than having an op.
I know how you feel, having a child of 50, our eldest daughter will be 49 this year, and like you, I can still see the baby that she started out as, at seven and a half pounds, she was heavy enough for me thanks very much, that bought tears to my eyes believe me. lol

Just in case I don't get to talk to you before you go gadding about Sylvia, have a wonderful time my love.
Many congratulations on your Anniversary, and a happy birthday to your hubby. Enjoy the meal out as well. Take care of yourself my love.

Huia, don't go overdoing things at the shop. I hope they have some good bargains when you do go in, but just remember, you are trying to get rid of stuff, not fill the cupboards up again. ;-) ;-) ;-) All the clearing up will still be there waiting for you love, just go with the flow, and do as you want, you have no one to answer to, except yourself do you, and you know just how far you can go.

Well our birthday girl. What a shame T is in so much pain, and was unable to enjoy looking round the wild garden with you.
At least you were able to buy exactly what you wanted out of your birthday money. It's such a shame when family buy things that we dont want or need, isn't it.
Your meal sounded scrummy, it's just what I fancy right now, but have got to put up with bacon, eggs, and scrambled eggs, as that's what Roly wants for tea tonight.

Jean my lickle love, get yersen back to that doctor as soon as possible. We can't have you still feeling poorly. It's not like you to go back to bed so early, so you definately are unwell my lovely friend. Special (((((((((HUGS )))))))) just for you.

Oh yes I forgot to tell you, I went for my scan yesterday, re the cyst, and have now got to wait for an appointment with the specialist to find out the results.
When I asked if it had grown, the woman said, " I am not allowed to tell you, you have to answer Miss Watson when you see her " helpful not.
Today has been really overcast, but still warm. At least it's cooler at bed time thank goodness.
Right my lovelies, I will say cheerio for now, take care, love to all, Mo xxx

AnninGlos Report 13 Aug 2013 16:03

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, especially Marie with all hers :-D :-D :-D :-D

Thank you Mo, Jean and Sallie for your lovely cards.

I have had a good day so far. Went to Webbs big garden centre at Wychebold near Droitwich, had coffe and a shared Danish. then I went into Hobbycraft which has a shop in Webbs and spent birthday money on lots of craft bits and pieces, the two biggest spends being a new Stephanie Weightman die and a new 12x12 scrap book.

We also bought a few bits we needed in the garden centre. The weather wasn't very good and OH has a muscle in his leg which is playing up so I went to walk around the wild part of the garden centre on my own - usually there are all wild flowers but it is the wrong time of the year for those but it is a pleasant area and part of it is laid out with plants that can be bought in the garden centre. I took a few flower photos. OH sat in the car. When it came on to rain I gave up and we went to the nearby Harvester for lunch. I had the usual salad starter then scampiand crackerjack prawn combo, chips and peas and a large glass of red wine. OH had the salad then fish, chips and mushy peas and a coke. By the time we got home the sun was shining, think it might have been shining all day!!

Hello to you all,
Happy Birthday Ann, I hope you have a lovely day.
It is the 13th here to-day and my 1st Son Michael's Birthday today he is 50 yrs, and it just seems like yesterday that he was a skinny 8 lb 3 ozs baby in my arm's, how time flies.

Have a nice trip Sylvia with your husband and Happy Birthday to him also.

I have been Ill for the past 3 weeks with a very bad chest cold as well as Sinus I am feeling much better to-day we will see how I am later this evening as that seems to be my worst time.
I have also had aching teeth from the sinus also 2 cold sores and an ulcer in the roof of my mouth it has made for a rather miserable time.
I have good news about my daughter she went to Sydney to the specialist and he did the scans and it showed that the broken Tibia and also the Ligament were healing very well which is such good news as she does not need an operation .She is now putting her weight on the bad leg and hobbling around .
She has to take pain killers as the knee is paining a good deal.

Our weather has been bad, rain and high winds it blew down several tree's in Bathurst but many more in Sydney and Melbourne.

No news when Brian and Kathleen may be putting the house on the market ..
My granddaughter Sarah has offered to rent her Unit to me when I have to move
I may take her up on the offer it is only about 5 years old and is very nice, it has 3 bedrooms and a double garage I would be able to use part of the garage for all my gardening tools.

Good luck with your tooth Mo I have a dental appointment on the 09th of September it is my 6 month check up., I also have a capped tooth that cost me a fair bit of money I do hope all is well with it,I don't have any tooth ache ,only what i experienced with the Sinus.

Hi Jean, I hope you are over your earache by now I hope you are all having some nice sunny weather over there we could do with a bit more of the Sun part rather than the heavy frosts we have been waking up too

.I almost forgot you Huia,
How was the concert I am sure you would have enjoyed it.
My small group of singers are coming along nicely and were invited to sing in a choirs concert a few weeks back, they sung very well and I was extremely pleased with them they have improved so well in the past 6 months.

The concert was hosted by a group called ARTS out WEST and is sponsored by the University and I think the Local Council they are hoping it will become and annual event with choirs from around the district.

Must go
Love and Hugs
Marie
