Nice dry day today, went out into that strange place, the Garden! Runner beans growing like mad, tomatoes looking fed up with all the wet! Cats have actually been outside today.
Am off tomorrow to have my six monthly bloods done. I dread it becuase the nurse has to have multiple tries to get blood out of my arm and there is only one arm to get it from. If you have had a mastectomy you are not supposed to take blood from that side as you have your underarm glands removed to check the cancer has not travelled. Dont know what they do if you have had a double mastectomy!

I have got a blooming grasshopper in my lounge.2 days now and it is nearly always on the ceiling !! So no use pointing it out to the dog lol.I would like to think it is eating up any loitering spiders up there.
I have the BIG fan about 4 feet away from me at the mo.It is just so stuffy.

OMG OH just rang from work to say he has come over all achy and has a temp!!!!! I just oinked at him lol.
Spare room for me tonight then.

Oh Lizzie, The Family Planning Association. I used to hate going. I started in my 20s and because I looked at least 5 years younger then, I got curious stares from some of the other women in the waiting room. Before I knew it I was in my 50s and still getting stares, but now from young teenagers who were probably amazed it was still happening for me !! lol

Libido? hmmm yes. Well, we are already hot enough at night anyway aren't we ladies? I often say to OH 'I was 'hot' in bed last night !!! ' lol

I love the smell of lavender too, I have a couple of lavender air fresheners , 1 upstairs and 1 in the cloakroom downstairs

Well I wonder if we will get to go out tomorrow after the trouble we had today with daughters sewing machine, maybe she will find another problem for her dad to fix it took him 61/2 hours to find out what was wrong with it. sorry I have just been told it's not a sewing machine it's an over locker machine, silly me mum knows nothing of course!!! lol daughter shouldn't be looking over my shoulder when I'm on the computer, poking her nose in where it's not wanted.LOL!!!!!!!!

Anyway I'm closing down now, May get the time to say hello tomorow before we go out
Night night

i do like the smell of Lavender ,but if it is too strong it gives me a claggy throat.as do many smells these days.I have never had this problem before.I feel as though I am becoming intolerant to quite a few things these days, and it is always smells.I wonder .does that have something to do with the Change??

I love the smell of strong lavender disinfectant. I use it all over the house, and have some diluted in a spray to deodorise the cat trays.

Hi Fiona, I had problems with HRT too, the serenity cream is a bio-identical hormone and the makers reckon because it's closer to your natural hormones it will cause less if any side effects. It's taken a couple of months for it to work for me but it's also helped with the achey joint problem and i've had NO side effects. It's not expensive ,a jar lasts 2-3 months and only costs £17.99

Hi Jane
Didn't know that there was a food market at IKEA as well, I thought they only sold swedish furniture.(Silly me)
But I then when I went onto Google , and I now see there's lots more to see . well well you learn something new every day.
It's a huge place daughter no 1 did say you could spend all day there.

Jane Report 4 Aug 2009 17:03

Fiona Report 4 Aug 2009 16:49

Hi Patricia
Whats this serenity cream I must have missed that post. how does it help with the dreaded flushes etc. Libido whats that!!!!!
yes I'm in the same boat that's been and gone since I came off HRT. my OH understands too, just a kiss and cuddle and turn back to back and go to sleep.

---Just looked up the serenity cream on Google , now I know what it does , has it have any side affects.Pat (I really have to be careful when taking medication or using creams, I seem to be very unlucky) HRT started to give me headaches, that why I was taken off it.

Patricia,I think there are a few of us with this predicament lol
We need a good jump start to get those revs up again !!!!
The get up and go in that department has got up and goneLOL
I don't know what the answer is.I do believe watching a bit of a blue movie together can help.(so I've been told )!!!!!!!! Blue movie sounds a bit old fashioned now .I suppose they call it Porn.

Hi Ladies ,I posted about serenity cream a few weeks ago and I'm happy to report that it has helped considerably with the flushes, night sweats and disturbed sleep. Sadly ,not helped with my libido which has been non existent for some months now O.H. has been very understanding but I would appreciate any ideas to get it going again ,will try ALMOST anything

Still here folks, was supposed to be going to Ikea this morning but Sewing machine is causing alot of hassle for OH , so times getting on and I think it will be to late to go over to Ikea, we will try later on in the week. Doing my Ironing, weathers not so good now gone cloudy, serves me right for bragging about it this morning.

Fiona Report 4 Aug 2009 11:13

Morning all
Hi Lizzie , I'm another one of these people who have a good moan about the bad memory and hot flushes on this thread, been having extra ones I'm sure the last few days, Got my MIL here for a weeks holiday and I'm dashing around like a lunatic, trying to get the washing, hoovering all done before we go out for the day.
She doesn't understand/ doesn't want to hear when I moan about the hot flushes. it's a joke in my house," Oh mothers haven't one of her flushes quick open the window and freeze us all" but from MIL I get some black looks and she says politely "a bit chilly in here isn't it."

Hi Jane, Oh dear got the rain have you? I've got the sun lol (says cheekily)
Been off GR for 2 days but have missed having a chat with my pals, we are running a bit late this morning , Daughter no 2 can't get sewing machine to work so OH having a look, if it plays up while were out she'll be in a really rotten mood all day because she can't get any uni sewing done. 6 Items of clothing all have to be designed, cut out and stitched and handed back in to uni on Friday at 11.00.
OH taking her back to Gallashiels on Thursday night.
