Hi Pam - just read your comments on our age afflicted predicament !! A lot of the symptoms could be an under active thyroid - all it takes is a blood test to confirm and its quite common at 50 onwards. Lucky old me has both !!! |

Our exchange student left this morning and I'm suffering "empty nest" syndrome all over again.I love looking after folk and even enjoyed doing his ironing!IHe was a lovely young man, the kind you'd want your daughter to settle down with.Where did the years go ?It doesn't seem that long ago since we had hoards of teenagers inhabiting our spare room ,raiding the fridge, asking advice about girls and being loud and happy. My O.H. says we don't age a day at a time ,there are some things that make you realise how quickly time has gone.Looking at our 21 year old with his wee daughter brought a tear to his eye and made him think that WE are the older generation in our family ,a somewhat sobering thought. |

Morning girls, hope you're all well....................supermarket shop today. We should be buying less now that our daughter has moved out, but don't seem to be...no wonder we're both getting a tad overweight!! |

No Don't think he's that clever Jean. He's a great do it yourself kind of Guy when it comes to fixing things, but I don't think he could think something up like that. |

Fiona ,you talking about your Dads cupboards reminded me of Mums.Nothing was in the place it should be ...and the things I found in her fridge...how she never ended up with food poisoning I shall never know. |

Norning ladies, yes AB think that my friend is going to kick up a fuss over the incident with her girl, and rightly so. I try not to think about it too much as I get angry and I've not even met her daughter...but it does p*ss you off! |

It's so wrong Pam.I worked with Victim support for 10 years and saw this kind of thing so often. And then sometimes if things got as far a court, and the villian got off scot free I was left with a very distraught victim feeling so let down. They felt they just weren't believed. |

Hi Jane, yes it's wrong isn't it. My friend at works daughter is now sufferring pannic attacks over this and is on tablets. If that's not reason enough for these B****ARDS to be sent to reform or borstal I don't know what is!! The poor girls have had to have rests as these swines bit them and a couple of them are known drug users. Sorry for the language but this bloody country is a soft a s***t with scum like this. A young girl in bits like this through no fault of her own!! I'm so annoyed...better watch my blood pressure. |

That doesn't sound right to me Pam.I8!!! There should be no reason why the police should not follow this up.Disgraceful I say. Those girls will be laughing their heads off now and will no doubt do the same again. |

Son and partner decided to do some shopping today and bless their little hearts thought it would be wiser to leave Baby with me than have strangers breathing over her,as they do.So I had her to myself for an hour, well not really Sophie and I had her to ourselves. She was very good except she wanted to change the nappy! I did let her help but once she realised it was dirty and not just wet she quickly changed her mind and changed her dolly's instead.Wise girl.I seem to have had a relapse on the flushes front ,it's been continuous since I woke up this morning one after the other so the search is back on for a remedy........all suggestions gratefully received!! |

Hi D.l. ,this granny spent the day with a very determined 21/2 year old who eventually got her own way and used the laptop for playing games, just as welll papa was busy with our exchange student. She was very clever with it ,I was most impressed by how quickly she worked out how to position the cursor and get the results she wanted. My grandchildren call me daftgrannie and their other gran is normal granny I can tell you she says she's never been called "normal" in her life and thinks it quite an insult. For my part daft is quite mild compared to some of the things I've been called lol. |
