*Climbs down off soap box and takes a valium..................

Anyway we had a lovely jaunt up the coast, hubby didn't go too fast, it really was lovely. We're about 4-5 miles from the North Norfolk coast and don't go along there nearly enough. I suppose we take it for granted, we also are near to the Norfolk Broads, so plenty of things to do. I'm all tuckered out tonight...all that sea air I expect (my old knees are achey!) am sitting here in my dressing gown and all talced up and moisterised and off to bed in a while. Hope you've all had a good day.

Speak tomorrow I hope,

Pam.xxx ☺

Hi ladies, there's so much snobbery attatched to art in my opinion. It's all to do with the name of the artist...and very much a case of 'the emperor's new clothes' i think..I love the great Tony Hancock film The Rebel, it really is a pi*s take of all this cr*p that people say is good. If someone said well actually that's a load of old sh*t...then I reckon lot's of others would too!! I have seen some stuff on goolge about artists and their work...some of it is really awful, looks like my pallett! It sells for so much money!!

Pam.☺

PS. Sorry for all the naughty words...but it does get my goat!!

Arctic Blonde

Gosh, what twist to the tale. I wonder if "second sight" had a hand in that?

Oh well, I dont mind you disagreeing about anybody can draw. My view is that if people will pay for artwork that is just splodges on a board or animals painting, was it an elephant that did some "art work" , then anybody can splodge paint on a bit of paper. Now look at Lowry ?

The modern artist I love is Beryl Cook, who died last May.

Not talented Helen, EVERYBODY can paint or draw. Practice makes perfect. In which case I need to practice quite a bit.! lol

Its very rare I actually give out one of my "etchings".

I cant paint my toe nails - so you are one up on me. (If only I could see me toe nails or reach them would be a help of course). LOLOL

Night night, me thinkest it will be a warm one this evening.

Cheers

Pam

I am a very amateur artist, and of course think my artwork is not very good! It is very rare for me to actually do something for someone, I only hope she liked it! I will tell her she can put in the charity box if she doesn't lol.

Marilyn, I am pleased to find you up and "coming to". Red Thai curry sounds lovely. Mmmm!

AB that really is an amazing story, what a little detective you are! But how rewarding. Do you know what editorial the reporter is from? I suppose its a Finnish paper.

Good Afternoon Ladies

Gosh, my late night boozing (which I very rarely do) has soooo caught up on me. and I had to go to bed before 11pm yesterday today I have been busy finishing off a painting to give to my friend for her retirement on Thursday, so I am wore out. I am too tired to even read all the threads.

I have quickly come on here to wish you all a very happy sunday inbetween cooking the sunday dinner, which is nearly ready. We are having lamb steaks with roast pototoes (a treat for Sunday roasters) we usually have mash or boiled so OH can eat them with his gnashers lol. But I love the crispiness of roasters and insist Sunday that is the way they are cooked! Boiled cabbage and carrot for the healthiness! Oh and fresh strawberries and cream for pudding.

Might just pop back later for a quick natter. Luv to you all.

I was awake till 3.00am......baking hot, couldn't open windows because there was a noisy party in the garden of one of the big houses nearby. Could hear it all the band, the screaming and shouting, despite the double glazing, then when it stopped I couldn't sleep!!!!! Must get some earplugs for next time.....OH sleeps through it all! lol

Afternoon all, glad you're all okay and especially Marilyn as she's been through the wars a bit.

AB I know what you mean, i hardly drink these days, if I have a glass or two of wine I get quite pi*sed! and go very red, always have with wine...and the eyes go very bloodshot! So it's not a good look! I quite like a gin and tonic or vodka and tonic and always with ice and lemon.

We're off (after the Grand Prix of course, as hubby's day revolves around the Grand Prix season) for a run up the coast, so that'll be nice...just so long as the silly old bug*er doesn't think he's Jason Button!!

So hopefully will be back later.

Helen...hope your hubbies doo das aren't swollen like a couple of Jerusalem artichokes, as the saying goes!!

Take care girls, Pam. xxx☺
