Hi Jane , I managed to breastfeed for the first 3 months with daughter no 1 only problem was she would fall asleep after first side and I would have to prod and poke to wake her up for the second side.
Now no 2 daughter was very different . she would just lie there all day and feed so lazy, that I would be drained , and I never seem to fill up enough for the next feed. had a battle to get her to take a bottle, tried teats with big holes would come squirting out , teats with smaller holes and she would suck and couldn't get nothing.
I only managed to Breast feed her for a month
CLAP CLAP CLAP!!!!!
Fantastic AB where did you find that, never a truer word was spoken.
must remember to copy and print it.
OH making dinner tonight , so I am off to set the table

Hi girls, just been catching up on the posts...AB you make me chuckle! You've hit the nail right on the head though.

Sorry I've been a bit elusive of late but I worked a night shift Sun/Mon and my daughter and her boyfriend got the keys yesterday for their first home together and I'm off over to see it this afternoon...only seen it from agent's photo on the internet. I know the area quite well and it's very nice there, in a village just south of norwich.

I've been sleeping in her bed these past couple of days...and do you know i've not sweated and woke so much, infact last night I went through the night!! (Pissed the bed but that's not the point!) ha ha!

Anyway will be back on later so have a lovely day all of you!!

Hello girls

Hope you're all keeping okay.

I had a smashing day yesterday, as I said I went to see my daughter's and her boyfriends house they've bought. It's lovely it really is. I was watching her tidying round and then she was giving me little jobs to do...like cleaning the toilets, ha ha! Seriously though I looked at her and thought, that;s it my baby has flown the nest. Still i will visit, and it's only half an hour by car, so I mustn't panic! She made me smile, when she said "This could be your room mum, to stay if ever we go out and you babysit". I got quite excited...but she said they weren't planning to have a baby quite yet!!

Ah well one day...

Hope you're all having a nice day...bit cooler isn't it?

Hi Pam
Glad you enjoyed the visit to your daughters new house ,I remember my first visit to see WHERE my daughters new house was going to be built, it was the last 3 bedroomed house on the estate to be built and all you could see was rocks , mud and and more mud but daughter and her fiance at the time went up once a month to take photo's of it being built, and they now have the photo's of the house on one of there living room walls.
well only 2 days left to go till my first Grandchild is due, we hope by the end of next week it has arrived. will keep you posted.

Hello girls hope you're all well today.

My daughter is staying here tonight and going back to the 'new house' Sunday...as they still haven't got a decent bed yet and my hubby has got to plumb the washing machine in for them, also we're giiving them a mower so the grass still hasn't been cut yet...oh yes and they haven't got a frige freezer, but we think we've got one sorted for them....you know girls i think we're still going to have quite a bit of contact with the pair of them!! ha ha

Anyway back to this 'change' business...I think I've got the sweating embaressment sorted for the supermarket anyway...I went yesterday evening...not so mant people there, thus not the heat!! Mind you i do tend to loiter around the freezer dept. quite a bit!

Yes Lizzie, I got a job pretty much straight away after my education finished, i had to we were so hard up...also there were the jobs about then.

Wonder if Fiona's a granny yet?

Have alovely day,

Pam.xx

Jane Report 28 Aug 2009 17:58

I wonder why in my 50's I have started to have eyebrow tidies and lash tints??
I think I must be having my mid life thingy lol.I just wish I had some backbone and loose weight.Mind you I am possibly going to Dubai in March for a wedding and beside the fact I would like to look nice I need to fit comfortably in a aircraft seat for 7 and a half hours and put the tray down to eat my grub off!!
Will Power Will Power Will Power.Where can I buy that LOL

Fiona

Fiona Report 28 Aug 2009 18:29

Evening all
Jane if you could buy will power, then I would have bought the shop out.
sometimes my lack of confidence at sticking to things is awful , like doing more exercise, OH wants me to go cycling or swimming with him so I would loosen up the joints a bit more and stop complaining about being stiff.
I don't like swimming ,scared stiff of going under the water, need to feel my feet on the bottom of the pool. so I always have some excuse or other to get out of it.

I've not become a granny yet Pam, daughter no 1 is exactly 40 weeks today, so It's countdown from now on. my daughter will be going back to see midwife next Friday if she is still here and then they will decided to take her in the following Tuesday for an induction.
Will let you all know if anything happens.

Jane

Jane Report 28 Aug 2009 21:52

Night Night Ladies ,I feel pooped,so will let the dog out early for his wee and then I'm off.

Fiona

Fiona Report 29 Aug 2009 16:24

Poor DizzieLizzie no sleep ,your not alone all our husbands are a pain when they start snoring ,if my OH won't stop when I push or poke him I end up going into the spare bed not so bad in the summer ,but (I will not use bad language on here BL**** awful through the middle of winter, beds freezing.

☼ Pam ☼

☼ Pam ☼ Report 29 Aug 2009 19:27

Hello ladies....ah snorring don't get me satrted on that one, the breaking wind too!! (No not me!) He reckons he's not aware that he breaks wind...not much!

Anyway will be away from the thread for a couple of days as I'm working tonight and also Sunday night...so possibly will resurface about Tuesday!!

Take care and i hope that you all have a lovely bank holiday week end.

Pam.xxx
