Hi from not so sunny Tenerife.

Just reading through your thoughts on music, liked Charles Aznavour but AB, Jack Jones, now you are talking, have most of his records on CD. Went to see him live twice in Bristol, loved him. My Mum liked Josef Locke.

Fiona, hope that you can be sorted with medication and Marilyn glad you are healing OK.

Morning Loraine,

Oh my god your builders sounds familiar , happened to my son his builders wanted more cash other than the quote that was originally stated.
But like you he suggested leave now and I'll get someone else in.
But they relented and stayed ,also my son payed them by installments just in case they went bankrupt as many are doing so.
Hope your builders finish the job good and proper, its a worry for you.

Its not very good today although not cold ,but dull.
Going to help hubby today he's going to paint my bathroom & bedroom
so Ive got to get organized to more things out of the way !!

Isn't it annoying Lorraine, like you say, stick to your guns. Hope they are not trying to recoup the extra costs they have caused themselves by putting the wall in the wrong place!!

You made me chuckle Marilyn........that was a clever move!!

Jane please don't stick your head in freezer.
bad enough some people feel the need to stick their heads in the oven. Mind you getting a freezer burn is as bad as a burn from the oven.

Fiona Report 13 May 2009 16:28

Talking about burns that reminds me of the day when OH decided he would make the tea. unknown to me he switched on the top oven instead of the middle oven, now top oven also has the grill in it, now while the oven was pre- heating we were going to have chips for dinner I decided I could'nt wait till tea time so I would make myself some toast. opened oven door thinking the heat was from middle oven and took a hold of grill pan. HELP!!! fingers stuck to handle , the only way I could cope with the pain was to keep a hold of an Ice block , you know the ones you put in a cool box
I tried to sleep that night with my hand out of the bed holding this ice block.
