Her and her husband we're on holiday nd the poor blokes piles started playing him up, (he blaimed change of diet) anyway he was in so much pain on night he rubbed what he thought was cream to take away the soreness...and it turned out to be lip balm!!! She made us pee ourselves as she said.........."Well he always does talk out of it!"

Nothing exciting here other than I am one less now so my food bill will probably drop dramatically lol
The dog still smells of anaesthetic and is not quite right in the head yet.Not that he ever is !!.He needs to sleep but will not settle. Is driving me a bit mad now.
I now slap vaseline on at night and that seems to be good.I don't like the smell of tea tree so couldn't bare that on my mouth.

Tina, that made me laugh, your hand cream.I had similar thing last year I polished most of my dining room table and chairs, then hubby spotted it !!
It was fly spray !!!!! I did think it had a funny smell....I remembered I put it on boards at the time.
Anyway someone advised me to get the old tin of bees wax and a hurried off down to the supermarket ,but couldn't find any...In panic I went next door and my neighbour had some ,I'm glad she did as the wood did go rather dull !!!

Talk about about taking the P**S my son said I'll be home at 5-30 pm he's gone to play Golf and because its such a lovely day he's milking it now. (His wife has gone for a weekend Golf with the Girls !!)
I have my granddaughter with me and she is now tired and needs her bed. She is so lovely though.
Just had a phone call from him ....on his way .. only two hours late !!

AC, yes its asking for trouble, peas and leeks!

Have told OH that he may P for the compost - he said you are joking, and I said no, look - and I showed him the website I was on. Think we may refrain from that! LOL

We have a 5 tubs with pototatos growing in too, cannot wait for our homegrown, but as you say only a small amount, but it will be lovely to eat food you can taste.

No worries, own self organic matter will NOT be going into the compost bin I for one wont be eating anything grown in it if it does!

Fly Spray! Oh my goodness, the house must have smelt very peculiar indeed. lol.

FamilySearcher, I had occasion to visit my GP on the"morning after the night before" when said GP was out for the evening with said colleagues. Lets just say he recited a very very risque joke to me, good job I am broad minded and like him, mind you he probably felt safe enough to tell the joke, he did say they usually recited stories of operations and procedures lol

"People are complaining about the NHS helpline as regards the Swine Flu,

all they are getting is

a crackling line!

I think our compost heaps will be fine with most things in.Most will have rats in them.Ours did,and the rat man put a poison trap in.We used all the compost eventually and we are still here lol

Saw a rat in our garden on Thursday morning, we do have allotments that back onto our gardens, so anything could be living in there.

First time I seen a rat though. Told OH to stop putting out food for the fox and birds for a while.

Well I think it was a rat, after taking the wrong hand lotion to work, it could have been anything lol as I did not have my distance specs on, I thought it was a rabbit at first then I saw the tail!

Harpstrings Report 9 May 2009 21:50

No, but OH says he thinks he can hear a cockerell in the mornings from up the road, dont know how far up the road he means, but I have never heard one, but then I dont sleep with my bedroom window wide open - lets in creepy crawlies.

Talking of creepy crawlies have just visited the bathroom and there is a giant tarantula of a spider on the wall. Right where I sit! *SHUDDERS* Will have to deal with it in mo, will not be able to sleep knowing its wandering around. *SHUDDERS SOME MORE*

Jane Report 9 May 2009 22:02

I don't mind the spiders .I can often sit on the loo and spy one.Just grab a bit of toilet paper fold it up ,say sorry my friend and squish it!!!!!!!!
We have a cockerel next door ,he starts about 4 or 5 each morning .I just say FGS shut up,then I go back to sleep and he keeps crowing lol
