Evening ladies, sorry haven't been about much lately but have been so busy over my daughter's helping her with bits and pieces over the new place.

I'm working a night shift tonight and tomorrow...will be back on this thread next week I expect. I wasn't going to renew my membership, but as David said on the films thread, what a lot we get for £10 on GR so will be staying. Yes totally agree, we used to have some laughs on here...so that's what we'll have to do...have more laughs!!

Speak soon ladies,

Pam.

Thanks for your kind words girls. I thought about going as lately I've not had so much time to contribute to the threads, but that doesn't matter really as we all have busy and not so busy times. Also I would have missed you all so much. Yes where are Harps and Family Searcher?!

Speak next week, have a safe and enjoyable week end all of you...and yes Jane hope I have good couple of shifts.

Christine ,the Booms and Bangs are sending Chester a bit bonkers right now. This is the worst night.
That thing you clean your feet on is a bit like a thing my Nana used to put her Bun in(Hair bun),except that looked more like a doughnut lol
I am sweating cobs here.Just my face.Daughter is doing dinner and for starters I thinkI have probably eaten a whole garlic lol. Just waiting for risotto with smoked haddock now.
I have to go ....and stand outside for a bit.Bye Bye for now!!!!!!

Pleased Pam is staying.
AB, how I agree with you about the fireworks. There used to be some marvellous displays when I was a child. The whole town would turn out for them. The most we had at home was a few sparklers. Murder it must be classedas, the case you were talking about, with a stiff sentence to put the wind up imitators.
The farm animals get into a dreadful state, and go careering round the fields, doing damage to themselves and the the hedges. So easy for a cow to break a leg.

Jane Report 7 Nov 2009 19:26

I keep my reading glasses on the top of my head when not using them.Have just brought them down on my nose and they totally steamed up!!!!!!!!!!
Jean I try not to think of the animals in the fields being scared,as I know I can't do anything.I have to block it out and just hope they are all ok.

Evening all
Hurrah Pam is staying,!!!!!
Just been watching the news and a poor woman has died due to a firework being put through her letterbox which set her house on fire, she pushed her son out the house but went back for her cat and the fireman couldn't get into to the house save her as it was too hot, one of her neighbours said that the dead woman and her family were different to the rest of the people living in the street and this had caused a lot of abuse and upset,
you don't get the full story on the news so we don't really know what this family were like but thats still no reason to set the house on fire. Shocking!!!!!

Jane

Jane Report 7 Nov 2009 19:45

I did hear the family had had trouble before Fiona. It is terrible and the police did say they thought they knew who they were looking for and would be knocking on some doors soon.

Just back from a "NIGHTCLUB" My daughter and her friends have compiled a calendar for "HELP FOR HEROES" and tonight they had their launch.A good turnout and they hope to make £10,ooo .I am so proud of her! It's the first photographic job she ha s done on her own and she has made a really good job of it .Semi naked girls with cars ,differing locations and costumes ,reminiscent of 1970's calendars One of her best friends was a soldier in both Iraq and Afghanistan and came home a completely different person to who he was when he went, there's no help available for them and they have to cope with the bad dreams, mood swings and worse on their own.So even if it only helped him it would be worth while .Hopefully ,there are a lot of other people willing to raise funds to help.I just thank god my son has no intention of joining up!

Jane Report 8 Nov 2009 12:12

Well done to your Daughter Patricia,I can imagine how proud you must feel.
My son's friend will be joining the Army soon,I think in the New year.I feel sick when I think of him going off to Afghanistan or Iraq.Lord knows how his parents feel.
I haven't been to a Nightclub for years and years lol.It would be far too hot for me in them now !!!.I would be outside most of the time cooling off .

Hi A.B. ,theres not much in the way of counselling these days either. They're thrown on the scrapheap because many of them have psycological problems .The statistics for the number of ex-servicemen who end up in prison is horrific.Maybe it's time the politicians who seem so keen on war fought themselves.I don't think they would be so keen then

Jane
