Apparenty the hot flushes can go on into your 80s but only now & then, so I'm told.

Had mine for 15 years so far, on and off.

I started my menopause at the age of 42, well the nurse said that if you imagine the menopause was a motorway, I was on the slip road. So some 10 years later have gone through it lovely getting rid of a particular brand of mattress - to be superceded by T.na's!

Have cold sweats - am always cold. You will see me sat with a rug around my legs, my fleece jacket on as well as cardigans and next to me is OH in shorts and open shirt sweating - I think he is going through the menopause on my behalf pmsl.

Moody - yes - depressed - yes at times. Apart from that ok. Oh, have got a hair on my chin - how very dare it, and it gets snipped when I can feel it curling around my chin! I am looking out for any sprouters that wish to join in under my chin! Getting thin on top too and other places!

Oh the joys of old age. Now I feel quite depressed lol

Thank you, ladies. :-))

Actually, since my "op" last year, my memory has definitely got worse, although thankfully the "flushes" I can cope with.

Phyllis, you saying that, my Mum, who's now 76, still has them. I only found that out recently. Gawd, she had her "op" when she was in her late 40's.

Hi all,
couldn't get the soyabean tablets that Fran suggested, but the male pharmacist looked about twelve and didn't seem to have a clue really! Ended up feeling like I was being a pain in the arse and skulked off...sweating.
Hi ya Helen, yeah I pull the odd chin hair out, I don't get too many as I'm naturally very fair (we're not talking Captain Birdseye beard here) well not yet anyway. I really feel better for just reading all these posts, they say laughter is the best medicine!
Tina, I know what you mean, I've got a brazillian and haven't even been to the salon!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a good job we ladies can laugh about this! Can you imagine our menfolk having the same conversation - NO! LOL

It does help to know that we are all going through the same, it cheers you up knowing that someone else is "suffering" too. pmsl
