Hi
I am wanting to find out some information about my late fathers childhood, In 1944 my father Raymond Frederick Sargeant born in 1939 lost his father and was the last of about 7 children, because of this he went into dr banardos around 1942 and spent all his childhood there, i have contacted banardos but they are asking for a lot of money to look into records and cannot say if they will find anything, I know this is a long shot but am hoping that someone else spent there time in the same one as my dad and can help in some way, the only info i know is that he and maybe his sister went in there around 1942 his sister being called Betty born in 1936, i have never met any of his siblings and do not know if any are still alive to ask this question.

Not sure if i have any other info i can give but will try to be as helpful as poss.

Thanks

Lorna
