Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 20 Oct 2008 23:39

I've been very good lately. Nice windy weather but my broomstick is still under the stairs. I'm a granny now. I am behaving myself.

Not many daft things been happening for a while so I should have known that something was long overdue.

Only work until lunchtimes these days at the weekend as a carer. Must have some life to myself. Gets a bit bad when your family asks who you are!

Had an hour break on Saturday before I had to do four lunch calls so did some of my own shopping. Left the boot open when I took the bags indoors.

Came out, jumped into the car and off to the first call just up the road.

Happened to glance in the mirror and there sitting on the back shelf of the car was my black and white kitten. God give me strength!

I drive a red Hyundai which looks like a flipping Postman Pat car and so there was me with my black and white mad cat! I even started singing the song... nothing phases me!!! Mad Scottish person.

Didn't have time to go back home so I stopped at my friend's pet shop on the way and grabbed some treats for the blighter. She was in hysterics laughing.

Don't know why she found that funny. She has a blooming parrot which is singing that damn new McDonald's advert!

Anyway, I managed to return home with the interior of my car in tact, not in shreads, and no toilet accidents.

Got home and opened the car door and the begger just sauntered out, walked in the house and jumped straight over the stair gate into the kitchen.....

where the labrador pup stuck his ruddy great paws on him, pinned him to the ground and he allowed himself to be licked so much that he looked like a drowned rat.

Six months ago I just had a tortoise and a baby budgie. Now my home is turned upside down with this pair of juvenile delinquients!

Happy days. Does give my elderly peeps no end of enjoyment!!! Glad someone is having a nice day!
